Bus tour to Greece
Recently returned from a trip to Greece. In general, they were satisfied with the trip. We took the bus tour. Surprisingly, the bus turned out to be comfortable, clean, with air conditioning, TV, they gave out a travel kit (mask, earplugs, an inflatable pillow under the head). We lived in the Chronis Hotel, a very cozy hotel, linen was changed every 2 days, room cleaning every day, air conditioning for free (in some neighboring hotels, air conditioning cost 5 euros per day), fairly hearty breakfasts, but monotonous. For 7 days at the hotel, breakfast did not change. There are no dinners in this hotel, although at the time when we bought the tour, we were informed that dinners can be ordered from us at the hotel for 7 euros per person. This turned out not to be true. There are no dinners and you can’t order at the hotel (we encountered a scam).
We had an early departure for an excursion at 5 am, they didn’t give us breakfast with us, explaining that they, of course, can collect breakfast with them, but only if we buy an excursion only from the manager who took us met on arrival in Greece. Only on her call will breakfast be ready. Of course, we went without breakfast, as the excursions offered by the tour operator are 10 euros per person more expensive than in the agency directly in Greece. It's strange, but we already paid a one-time fee for breakfast when buying a ticket.
Chronis Hotel is 3 minutes from the beach, but the beach is crowded, if you walk 15 minutes along the promenade, you can find a cleaner and quieter beach.
Departure there / back was on time, without delay, thanks to the drivers, they stopped every 3/4 hours, coffee / tea was offered right on the bus. We were satisfied with the trip, except for the situation with breakfasts, promised dinners and excursions from the tour operator, which are more expensive than anywhere else!
Another important point! When buying a tour, we were strongly advised to buy excursions only from a tour operator, explaining this by the fact that the bus we arrived on stays with us in Greece for a week. And we safely ride on the same bus on all excursions. Therefore, excursions with a tour operator are, as it were, cheaper. But in fact, the bus left, took tourists to Ukraine. Another bus was sent for us, not so comfortable. But in principle, we got there faster.
