"Greek Crimea"
We were a family with two children in the village of Olympic Beach, 2 km from Paralia Katerinis, in Marianna Apartments. Before that, we were in Greece in Corfu, here I liked the children more. The beach is sandy, but the sand is coarse (sand is better in Bulgaria). The sea was clean, a little stormy, brought algae and a couple of jellyfish (not very nice). The beach is quite wide, there was enough space for towels and sun loungers. There is no road near the beach (cars drive right next to the beach in Paralia itself! ). We went to Paralia for the first time on foot (I thought we wouldn’t get there with the children! - Then I noticed it was walking alone for 25 minutes! We went to Paralia by bus and a pleasure train. I didn’t like Paralia itself (as a place for a beach holiday with children) in general! I completely agree with a review that there is only for a fur coat! From the end to the end of the village you can walk in 10 minutes. There are many shops, cafes. There are 3 playgrounds, a market, a huge church (very beautiful Greek service. It’s quiet in Olympic Beach, there are no discos. A lot Greek families with children. It seems that this is the "Greek Crimea". Unlike Corfu, the streets are clean, the garbage was taken out every morning. The weather was southern from August 6 to 20, then it rained and it became fresh! We swam in the sea only after lunch, it was cold in the morning.
