Imagine: the transfer bus full of people waiting only for you after holidays, risking being late for the airport due to receptionist’s fault. You have already paid all the hotel fees, but the receptionists (at the check-in desk) refuse to let you go and order to bring the receipt because they cannot find the necessary info. What a nightmare! And it happened to us, but let’s start from the beginning. We have been to Messonghi Beach Hotel from 23 May to 30 May. A family of three (two adults and one infant). To begin with, we had bought a ‘Superior Garden View’ room, but on the first day of our stay at the hotel the receptionist (lady with long dark straight hair) put us on ‘Sea View’ room on the 4th floor. The gates in balcony had scary huge spaces and a two year old like ours could easily go through it and fall down, that’s why on the same day in the evening I went to ask for a room, which could be suitable for a baby and meet safety requirements. On the next day, after many times of waiting in the queue (the receptionists would ask us to come a few hours later to see “what they can do”) we finally got the appropriate room in the bungalow. We thanked the staff and started enjoying our vacation. Unfortunately, that was not the end of our problems. On 29 May (one day before checking out) I went to pay a late check-out fee. The receptionist (a man) gave me a copy of receipt and wrote down in the hotel book that we have paid. I even asked him what we need to bring when we check-out and he said, “Only the key”. Now, on the 30 May minutes before the departure, we return the key at the reception desk (the young ladies worked in that shift, one with long dark straight hair, the other - fair long wavy hair). I ask if everything is okay so that we could go out, but they stop us with a phrase “wait wait wait, you did not pay for the late check-out”. I ensure we already paid and ask to check it in their system, but they “cannot find any information” and ask us to bring the copy of receipt. The transfer bus is waiting only for us, my husband takes the key and runs back to the room in the bungalow which is some 300 metres from the main building only to prove that we had paid (we left all the receipts in the room because they had told us we no longer needed them! ). I am at the desk with a crying baby, two big suitcases and two big bags. Nobody from the hotel staff cares and asks for help, the bus driver outside is impatiently showing us to hurry up and get on the bus. Suddenly, one of the receptionists starts giggling and “admits for making a mistake because she now finally sees that we had paid”. I then ask for her name and for the other’s, but they refuse to say their names and when I take my phone and say “I’m going ro find out it anyway”, the ladies start hiding their faces and run to hide in the room behind the desk. It is so immature! I felt as if we were in the kindegarten. Very disappointing and unprofessional. Long story short, the hotel itself is in a beautiful location, there are some good facilities, but the staff needs a lot of proper attention for what they do. First, they have to wear cards with their names, they have to be mature, helpful, friendly and professional. I hope responsible people will read this review and think about the right consequences (these two ladies worked at the reception desk on 30 May, in the afternoon). By they way, in the last minutes of our already unpleasant stay, there came a crying woman saying her baby boy fell from the balcony. I do hope he is okay.
P. S. We have been to a lot of places in Greece, we love this country, but we have never seen such bad behaviour from the people, who call themselves receptionists

Rested this summer at Messonhi Beach in Corfu. After the rest, only warm and pleasant memories remained. We went with friends in a large company of 9 people, at the hotel they gave us rooms closer to each other and with a good sea view. I won’t talk much about the rooms themselves, they are not ideal, but we didn’t need to sit in the room except for a place to sleep well, and just relax a lot.

I won’t talk much about the rooms themselves, they are not ideal, but we didn’t need to sit in the room except for a place to sleep well, and just relax a lot. In short, a standard room with 2 beds, wardrobe, bedside tables, air conditioning, TV, (hair dryer for a deposit of 10 €) and a shower cubicle with a bathroom. The room would do well to refurbish, update the furniture, well, and so clean and tidy.
The territory of the hotel itself is simply huge, 3 swimming pools with and without slides, a gym, a kids club, game rooms and a place where you can smoke a hookah by the beach. Also the presence of several bars and a large restaurant was also pleasing as there were no long queues for drinks or food.
Also, our hotel guides advised us some cool places where we had a good dinner and helped us make individual excursions around the island, we really liked our guide Anna and the island is just beautiful! We also gathered our strength and flew to Bari, I didn’t think that I would return satisfied, but I arrived in a wild delight ! ! ! A trip worth the money! The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker is simply amazing with its atmosphere, a beautiful city, delicious cuisine and a guide Sergey, a lot of useful information, he was not silent for a minute.
We will return to Corfu again and again! I advise everyone not to sit still! )

The hotel has many different and exciting activities: morning exercises, pilates, yoga, beach volleyball, darts, aqua-zumba. There is also a gym. Animators are top notch. One of them, Spirius, leads morning stretching classes. He is an experienced and incredibly energetic trainer. Every morning we did stretching in a clearing under the trees with special equipment, mats, stretching belts to beautiful meditative music. Each movement is done slowly, consciously and with great planting. Explains and shows everything very clearly. The second coach, Robert, conducts strength training, also on the street and to the music. Classes are fun, energetic and interesting. After that, after a couple of hours everyone is playing darts. Also, further, according to the schedule, there is an Aqua-zumba. Dancing in the pool (waist-high pool). Trainers, Robert or Spirius, show the movements on the surface, and you repeat them in the water. At the same time, incendiary music plays to the fullest. Very fun and at the same time good for health)) in the evening there are exciting events: karaoke evening, dancing, competitions, there is also a club on the territory of the hotel, where animators also come and dance together. The entertainment program is, to say the least, good, it is the highest class. For those who want a lot of activity and a charge of positive emotions, I highly recommend it.

Huge territory, you do not feel constrained by the walls of the hotel. Several pools, very long coastline. There are a lot of people, but there is enough space for absolutely everyone.
On the territory there are souvenir shops, grocery stores, a spa and even a hairdresser)
I often sent my daughter to the Grekoleto nursery, she really liked it there)) Alesya is there with the children, she is a wonderful girl) and there was a mini disco, in the evenings there were many different entertainment programs)))
The kitchen even surprised me - such a huge selection, you can't even imagine. And I liked the quality of the food. Ice cream is always free, drinks, beer (husband was incredibly happy).
The reception is friendly, there is a Russian-speaking girl. And so everyone speaks great English, almost all the inhabitants of the island, as far as I understand.
Bus stop right at the entrance to the territory. But we rode it once and didn’t do it again - a lot of people, hot, stuffy. We thought to take a car, but the fear, to be honest, is being driven here like this (((. . . we took several excursions, a sightseeing tour of the city, around the island, a boat trip and a children's one, in principle, everyone looked and so.
Everyone liked the excursions, thanks to Ira, Anya and Gelena, it was very exciting)))
We will definitely return to this hotel))

We rested at the Messonghi hotel in mid-July with my husband. We came to Corfu for the first time, many of our friends advised this island, and the truth is, the island turned out to be very beautiful, green, I have never seen so many olive trees like here, they are very large, wild, there are a lot of cypresses, and, well, a lot of insects, respectively, so, stock up on fumigators) As for the hotel, the hotel is located in the southern part of the island, this part is flatter and not as beautiful as the north, you can drive to the city in 40 minutes.

Hotel Messonghi, as we were told, is the largest on the island and really a large territory, several pools, buildings, bungalows, a separate French area, playgrounds, slides and a long wide beach. They paid 6 euros a day for umbrellas and sunbeds, they were not taken often, they mostly sunbathed on towels. Sunbeds by the pool are free, but they are occupied early in the morning and you rarely find a free sunbed. And be careful where there are pebbles, sea urchins often come across. On the beach of the hotel, we rarely swam, mostly went to other hotels, where there is a good sandy entry into the sea.
We chose the hotel for praising the food and, however, the choice of dishes is very large, everything is fresh and tasty. There are always fruits: watermelons, melons, peaches, oranges, etc. , a lot of sweets, a snack bar is open between breakfast, lunch and dinner, so you didn’t go hungry! And I want to say thank you to our girls, hotel guides Bogdana, Alina and Oksana, they were always at the workplace, helped with any questions, advised what to see and just chat with them was very nice! So I had the most pleasant impressions about the hotel, we will definitely return to the island and, possibly, to this hotel!

We always carefully approach the choice of hotels, as we travel with children and comfortable accommodation is of great importance for us. My husband drew attention to the Messonghi Beach Resort and after reading positive reviews about it, we decided to go to this hotel.
The hotel has just a huge territory and everyone can find worthy entertainment here. There is an opportunity to go in for sports (next to the entrance there is a tennis court, a football field, there is a fitness club and yoga classes). Our children were just delighted with the Russian-speaking animator Anastasia from the kids club. Every day they ran headlong to the kids club to play with her.
Every evening there is an entertainment program so that not only the children for whom the mini-disco was held, but also adults were satisfied. By the way, we put our kids to bed at 23.00 and it was important for us that the rooms were quiet and at first we were frightened by the presence of an extensive entertainment program, but to our great happiness it was very quiet in the rooms and no one disturbed us.
We were satisfied with our stay at the Messonghi Beach Resort and have already recommended it to friends who want to go to this sunny and greenest island next year.

I really liked everything, especially working with children. Excellent food, very varied and very tasty. Classroom work and cool evening programs. I recommend everyone to go there to the Missongi Beach hotel on about.

We read a lot of reviews, both positive and not very, but still we stopped at this hotel and did not regret it a bit. The holiday went off with a bang, and the hotel was very satisfied. Our room was sea view, spacious and clean, cleaned regularly and efficiently. The kitchen also pleased - a very large selection of tasty and healthy food, there are always several types of meat, fish, fresh vegetables and fruits. It is impossible to pass by sweets! The hotel has a very large area, which we enjoyed walking in the evening. Everything is neat and tidy. There are shops with everything you need on the territory, so you could not go to the village of Moraitika, although the hotel is located very conveniently - almost in the center of the village. Animation in the evenings did not let you get bored, cheerful young people came up with something new every evening. I also want to say thanks to the representatives of our company in this hotel, who were with us throughout the rest and helped resolve some issues, as well as for an interesting and rich excursion program.

Everything is fresh: several meat options, cheeses, salads, fresh vegetables and fruits, and sweets. . . MMM. . . for a child it's just heaven, have time to watch!! ! Several types of ice cream, soft drinks, juices, hot drinks. And in the bar on the ground floor and by the beach there is also an all-inclusive system. And there you can taste locally produced alcohol without restrictions. The husband is happy, in a word. There is even a mini-water park for children. True, the trouble with the Internet is that Wi-Fi is paid everywhere. But we found a cafe near the hotel, ordered excellent Greek coffee there and sat as long as we liked.
There are mini markets, souvenir shops, even a Lapel leather shop on site. But our separate guides Maria and Elena suggested that you can go to the store, which is located on the island and which is much larger than the hotel store, for free !!! ! I could not resist, although we did not plan such purchases, I still bought a leather jacket , which I had dreamed of for a long time, they also looked after my husband, but decided that next time we would definitely return and get a new thing.
And our hotel is a real city that is in full swing, lives to the fullest. I can not fail to note the excellent beach, large, sandy, with small pebbles. Sooo comfortable. There is also a snack bar on the beach where you can refresh yourself if, for example, you didn’t have time to have lunch or breakfast. The range of these so-called light snacks is simply huge, I personally do not find much difference from lunch in the main restaurant. But neither you nor your child will definitely remain hungry. I have a 7-year-old Svetochka, she is picky about food, but she tries the local cuisine with pleasure. And how happy she is with the sea slides and pools... no words. In addition, there is also water animation for children, and competitions and games are organized in the evening. Adults don't get bored either. In short, I highly recommend this hotel!

Acquaintance with the Messonghi Beach Resort 3 * 2 hotel took place during an advertising and information tour of Greece.
1. The hotel is located in the village. Messonghi is 20 km from Corfu. This is one of the largest hotels on the island. Corfu. Bus stop - 200 m from the hotel.
2. The territory is very large, very well-groomed, the lawns are trimmed, the trees are tied up. Outwardly very respectable (looks more convincing than 3 *). But huge and noisy, like an airport. The French love him very much, and they were even given a separate reception and settled in separate buildings.
3. The number of rooms is 920 rooms located in several buildings and detached bungalows. The central building was renovated in 2012. Rooms: double standards, superior double rooms, family standards, superior family and superior family double rooms.
In the rooms: air conditioning, satellite TV (with Russian, but without Ukrainian channels), telephone, Wi-Fi (extra charge), refrigerator, bath / shower, hairdryer, balcony / terrace. Possible accommodation: 2.2+1.2+2.5 adults. Safe at the reception (extra charge). IMPORTANT: in standard rooms (double and family) there is NO air conditioning, TV, refrigerator and hair dryer.
4. Meal plan: half board or all inclusive. We had lunch at this hotel on the day of our visit. As for 3 *, the kitchen was just on top: a large selection of dishes, delicious. The only thing, since the hotel itself is huge, the restaurant (in which we were) seems to be big, but it seemed cramped. 2 restaurants, 2 pool bars, 2 beach bars, cocktail bar.
5. Beach: sand and pebble, 2 sun loungers + umbrella = 6 euros. But not per day, but for the entire stay (as the hotel manager explained, for the "body of the stay" : )). 4 fresh water swimming pools.
6. For children, the hotel has not only excellent, but exceptional conditions: a mini-aqua park (! ), 4 children's pools with fresh water, a playground.
Mini club, mini disco, children's animation, high chairs in the restaurant. Babysitting - on request (extra charge).
7. Spa: Facial programs, massage, jacuzzi, hairdresser, manicure, pedicure. There is a gym.
8. For outdoor enthusiasts: volleyball, beach volleyball, basketball, football, aerobics, ping-pong. French bowling, tennis, billiards, water sports - for a fee.
9. Entertainment: daily entertainment, Greek evening once a week, live music,
10. In the hotel: jewelry store, mini-market.
11. Of the shortcomings: this is 3 *, not 5 *, therefore, in my opinion, a forgivable shortcoming is the poor, obviously, work of the hoods in the kitchens. As a result, the persistent smell of catering in the restaurant (I can only talk about where we dined). But the quality of the food served more than makes up for this small drawback.
12. What to see near the hotel: 1 km from the village.
Meesongi is another resort village - Moraitika, which has many bars and nightclubs. Nearby is also the village of Chlomos, which offers simply gorgeous views of the island. Corfu and the islands of Paxos and Antipaxos. Neighboring village Boukari is famous for its taverns where you can taste local fish and seafood dishes. And be sure to visit the salt lake Korizion, where many migratory birds from Africa arrive.
Personal impression: big and beautiful. But I love small and intimate ones. And despite this, I liked Messonghi Beach.
Summary: for 3 * - excellent. Five points out of five possible (location, territory, beach, food, infrastructure).
