We rested at the Messonghi hotel in mid-July with my husband. We came to Corfu for the first time, many of our friends advised this island, and the truth is, the island turned out to be very beautiful, green, I have never seen so many olive trees like here, they are very large, wild, there are a lot of cypresses, and, well, a lot of insects, respectively, so, stock up on fumigators) As for the hotel, the hotel is located in the southern part of the island, this part is flatter and not as beautiful as the north, you can drive to the city in 40 minutes.
Hotel Messonghi, as we were told, is the largest on the island and really a large territory, several pools, buildings, bungalows, a separate French area, playgrounds, slides and a long wide beach. They paid 6 euros a day for umbrellas and sunbeds, they were not taken often, they mostly sunbathed on towels. Sunbeds by the pool are free, but they are occupied early in the morning and you rarely find a free sunbed. And be careful where there are pebbles, sea urchins often come across. On the beach of the hotel, we rarely swam, mostly went to other hotels, where there is a good sandy entry into the sea.
We chose the hotel for praising the food and, however, the choice of dishes is very large, everything is fresh and tasty. There are always fruits: watermelons, melons, peaches, oranges, etc. , a lot of sweets, a snack bar is open between breakfast, lunch and dinner, so you didn’t go hungry! And I want to say thank you to our girls, hotel guides Bogdana, Alina and Oksana, they were always at the workplace, helped with any questions, advised what to see and just chat with them was very nice! So I had the most pleasant impressions about the hotel, we will definitely return to the island and, possibly, to this hotel!
