We rested with my sister at the Sunshine Hotel, finally escaped from the hustle and bustle! We were brought to the hotel by 9 in the morning, we had breakfast, walked around and at 11 we were settled. This is called lucky, because. this rarely happens during high season. We were told that some French people who lived in our room had an early flight.

We booked a bungalow with a sea view, #1220! The room is good, large balcony, standard furniture, not shabby, there is a safe, air conditioning, TV caught the RTR-planet from our channels.
The most important thing in the room is an unforgettable view of the sea!
The sea is clean, the water is clear, sand and pebble entrance. An elevator leads to the sea!
Animation took place in the main building, we often went to a local disco. We went to Nissaki a couple of times to try the local cuisine in taverns.
The kitchen in the hotel is excellent. The food was no frills, but everything was enough. Breakfast was always the same (beans, scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese, sausages and juices in carafes). and lunch and dinner changed, not having time to bother. Once for dinner there was something like shawarma, or shawarma, as my sister says (she is from St. Petersburg))
We went to an Italian a la carte restaurant, tried pizza and pasta - we liked it, definitely not worse than Moscow pizzerias, but the wine was Greek)
In general, the holiday was a success, the week flew by very quickly and left a lot of good memories.

The main eight-story building (all rooms with sea views) and two-story bungalows (sea or garden views). An interesting numbering of floors in this hotel - there is an announcement in Russian in the elevator that the relaxing pool is located on the 8th floor. Those. 8th is the lowest floor.
3. Territory: quite large, a lot of greenery, the hotel is successfully "fitted" into the mountain landscape.
4. Contingent: British, French, few Russians.
5. Rooms - 313 rooms: standards, bungalows, family rooms (including two-story rooms), suites (two-room). In the rooms: air conditioning (free of charge), telephone, satellite TV (2 Russian channels, no Ukrainian), mini-fridge, safe (free of charge), bath, hairdryer, balcony / terrace with furniture, no dryer for towels. On the day of arrival, a bottle of mineral water in the room. Possible accommodation: 2.2+1.2+2.
6. Meal plan: "all inclusive" (only local drinks, foreign alcohol - for a surcharge). The kitchen (compared to other "fours") is without frills, but fresh fruits + vegetables are always available, in the morning - fresh orange juice. Main restaurant, 2 a la carte restaurants, bar, pool bar, disco bar.
7. Beach: sand and pebbles, umbrellas + sunbeds for free. The hotel has 2 swimming pools (relaxing and active).
8. For children: kids club (4-12 years old), children's section in the central pool, playground, games room. Babysitting on request - extra charge.
9. Spa: sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, gym - free of charge, subject to booking any spa treatment. Facial and body care programs, massage, manicure, pedicure, hairdresser.
10. Wi-Fi internet in the lobby - extra charge. There is an internet corner.
11. For outdoor enthusiasts: beach games, water polo, aqua aerobics, tennis and table tennis, aerobics, the possibility of renting mountain bikes, billiards (extra charge).
12. Entertainment: daily disco (disco club - in a separate building), live music 2 rubles / week, music shows, Greek evening, dance lessons (at the Greek evening). TV hall, game zone.
13. Parking (both for private cars and for rent).
14. Of the minuses - poor soundproofing between the rooms (two neighboring rooms were connected by a common non-closing (! ) door) and between the corridor and the rooms.
Summary: 4 on a five-point scale. Good 4 stars. Rather for a relaxing family holiday surrounded by nature.

Sunshine Corfu Hotel & Spa 4*
Rested from 18 to 28 August 2013 (11 days).
Two adults and an 8 year old child.
Tour operator "Biblio-Globus". Carrier "Transaero".
Host of Beleon Tour.
Number:
2nd floor bungalow with sea view ("Greek Village").
- the room has a double bed + a bed for a child (single),
- a small balcony overlooking the garden (gorgeous palm trees) and the sea, there are two chairs and a table on the balcony,
- air conditioning in the room is specific, but quite easy to manage,
- tiles on the floor, - TV - one Russian channel "Planeta-RTR", - mini-bar meets with a bottle of mineral water (no longer replenished), - safe is free (divided into two parts, each is closed with its own key), - in the bathroom hair dryer, shampoo, - room cleaning is average, towels were changed if you folded them in a pile on the floor, - towels and swimwear were dried on the balcony on chairs and railings (the humidity was very high, it was still wet in the morning).
We were satisfied with the room, size, view from the balcony, we love the bungalow, because. the main building is too noisy.
The only negative in the bungalows are strong drops (jumps) of water - in the cold side, it was a little annoying.
Beach:
We were on the Ionian Sea for the first time - an unforgettable experience.
The sea is very clean, transparent, fish swim.
View of Albania from the sea.
The beach is small, sand and pebbles, by 9 am all the sunbeds are already occupied (apparently they put towels before breakfast).
There were no jellyfish, it was stormy only on the day of departure.
On the beach you can play beach volleyball at 10-30 and 16-30.
There are water sports, you can go canoeing.
Our wishes to the hotel - there are a lot of people who want to sunbathe on the beach, and the beach is really small for such a hotel, so develop the beach towards the volleyball court.
Pools:
1) Relax pool (quiet) - quite clean, depth from 1 meter to 2 meters, divided by a ladder in the middle, all sunbeds are always occupied.
2) Activity pool (where all the animation takes place) - up to 3 meters deep.
On the side where 3 meters - the bottom is heavily silted - very dirty (we lost our swimming goggles, we dived and did not find it).
Near this pool there is a snack bar where lunches are held from 12-30. (for those who do not want to go from the beach to the main restaurant).
Our wishes to the hotel - to hang a wall clock (I think it's not expensive) - by the pools and on the beach, because. there is no clock anywhere.
Bars:
In the bars you can drink coffee and tea. Various carbonated drinks. They make cocktails, good enough, not diluted. All famous cocktails are available.
There are water coolers on the beach, by the pool, but the trouble is, in the bars they don’t give bottles of water to the room, you have to pour from the cooler yourself (or buy water bottles).
Animation:
The animation is completely French. ~ 70% of tourists are French.
Mini disco at 9 pm, in French, we didn't like it.
Show (performances) at 21-45 - also in French, with translation into English.
All shows are musical - fully prepared by animators.
There is a kids club - I can’t say anything, we didn’t go.
Our wishes to the hotel - respect Russian tourists - let the animation be in Russian.
Hotel area:
Large cascade-step.
Everything is buried in greenery, flowers, pines, cypresses.
Small shy lizards run.
From insects - there are wasps - a lot during lunch on the street, drove away - no one was bitten.
There are also mosquitoes, when they decided to open the balcony at night - they flew in.
In the evening, they did not bite on the street.
There are two souvenir shops near the hotel (the hotel itself also has a "mini market") prices are cheaper than in the hotel.
And so there is nowhere to walk, you need to rent a car and explore the island yourself.
Car rental is available at the hotel, reasonably good prices.
SPA - did not visit, record as in A la carte restaurants at the reception.
Nutrition:
Very tasty, high quality and varied.
- Breakfast from 7 am: orange juice, oatmeal, muesli, yogurt, scrambled eggs, omelettes, toast, sausages, various cheeses, baked pancakes, croissants, croutons.
- Lunch from 12-30: you can have lunch both in the main restaurant and by the pool.
For lunch and dinner - always ice cream - you come up and spin the balls yourself.
- Dinner from 19-00: a wide variety of salads, meat, fish.
- Fruits: delicious watermelons, melon, grapes, peaches, apricots, plums, pears, apples, oranges.
- Sweets: tiramisu, jelly, cream cakes, cream cakes, once there was baklava.
- Drinks: you pour everything yourself: 3 types of wine, beer, cola sprite, juices: cherry, orange, apple.
Our wishes to the hotel - do not skimp on air conditioners in the main restaurant - turn them on, it is very stuffy.
Excursion from Beleon Tour:
Sea excursion with barbecue.
From 10 am to 5 pm on a ship in the northeast of the island.
The first stop is sailing from the ship at the “grotto”, the second stop in the bay is swimming and on the shore of a barbecue from the captain of the ship: barbecue, homemade Greek wine, for dessert, caviar of sea urchins.
The third stop is the city of Kassiopi: they give an hour of time to inspect the church, the remains of the Byzantine fortress (it has a beautiful view of the sea) and walk along the souvenir streets.
The last stop on the way back - in a beautiful bay - swimming.
Car rental:
We rented a car right at the hotel, for a day 80 euros "Peugeot 308", took the mechanics (because the roads are mostly uphill). When we took the car in the tank there were 10 liters of gasoline, the same amount must be returned.
Filled with 20 liters - more than enough. Taking into account that we left at 9 am and returned by 19 pm.
Gasoline is not cheap 1 liter = 1 euro 76 cents.
I will briefly write our route (maybe it will be useful to someone):
It is better to download a map of Corfu at home and enter destinations using the navigator.
1) Corfu. We leave the car near Spinada Square and then the pedestrian zone begins.
- Visited the Old Castle, entrance 4 euros,
- Spinada square, streets with numerous cafes,
- Church of St. Spyridon (worshiped the relics),
- went around the old narrow streets of the city, bought souvenirs, had a bite (dinner) in the same place
- for three pizza and drinks cost 20 euros.
2) Achileion Palace.
- entrance 7 euros, at the entrance you are photographed by a photographer and at the exit you can buy a photo framed by the sights of Achilleion.
- walked around the palace of Queen Sisi, went out into the garden,
- panoramic views of the city, the sea, the statues of Achilles.
3) The throne of the emperor. (Point Pelekas)
Tourists are not brought here, you can get there by car.
Excellent observation deck with binoculars.
4) Paleokastritsa.
- visited the monastery,
- mini-park-zoo - peacocks, geese,
- excellent panoramic views of the sea, beach, bay,
(Unfortunately, the child was already tired and we did not visit the Angelokastro castle and the village of Lakones near Paleokastritsa).
5) Sidari.
We stopped at this place to admire the beautiful bay and the huge sandy beach.
Our entire journey took 10 hours (although without swimming, it was possible to visit Kassiopi if desired, but we had already been there during a sea excursion).
Our general impression of Greece, in particular, of the island of Corfu:
Very hospitable, friendly people live here.
The hotel has unobtrusive service.
The chic Ionian Sea is in our area of Nissaki!

I started to annoy a little, because there are only French, although there are many other tourists, for example, our Russian-speaking or British. It is almost 25 kilometers away from Corfu. Taxi is expensive 40 euros one way. I advise everyone to take a hotel closer to Paliokastritsa. and regretted that I didn’t take a hotel there. The water is the cleanest in Corfu, the fish sometimes pinch their legs. but this is nonsense. Yes, even a big minus in the hotel it stinks very strongly of sewage when you sit on the street, I don’t know why.

I rested with my wife at the Sunshine Vacation Clubs 4 * hotel from June 18 to June 29.2011. We booked a hotel in advance from the Pantheon tour operator. The host was the Fenix Group. When landing in the airport of Kerkyra, the landing gear of the aircraft seemed to touch the surface of the water. The runway is small (only three kilometers), and the airport itself is small, so small planes arrive.
They were taken to the hotels. Our hotel is located in the northeast of the island. And immediately settled in numbers. The reception spoke English, French, Greek. But there was also a Russian-speaking girl. There was a surprise waiting for us in the room. There was a full bowl of fruit on the coffee table, which was very touching and attentive from the hotel management. The room was cleaned every day. In the morning, when we rested at sea or went on excursions. Our number was 614. This means that the room is not on the sixth floor (out of 7 in total), but on the second. Floor numbering starts at the top, except for the reception. This is the ground floor. The room has central air conditioning, a refrigerator with a bar, a TV, among the programs there was only one Russian-language channel "Russia 1". From the room you could see a beautiful view of the sea, pools, hotel grounds. All rooms of the main 7-storey building of the hotel overlook the sea.
The location is excellent. Its majestic view is far visible from the Ionian Sea. The hotel is located in the Nissaki area, in the village of Garrnelatika. The hotel consists of a main building (as I wrote earlier) and a bungalow. Nature is simply amazing. Flowers grow everywhere, cacti, all kinds of climbing plants such as vines that adorn the facades of buildings. Especially, in the morning cockades chirp. The hotel has two outdoor swimming pools. Their water is highly chlorinated. Foreigners and elderly people sunbathe near the pools. There are two ways to go down to the sea. First; on stairs paved with natural stone, the second - on two elevators. One upper, the second lower, which often broke.
In addition to the main building, there are several more 2-storey bungalows. We got acquainted with one couple, which is just there and housed. Firstly, the smell from the sewerage in the room, secondly, it is full of flies and midges (it is simply impossible to sleep), thirdly, snakes used to crawl, either poisonous or not. It is incomprehensible, and most importantly unpleasant. We lived on the first floor of a bungalow. Don't leave the window wide open. We were afraid. Keep this in mind when choosing a room.
Beach. Small. Bulk. For a hotel, such a star is clearly not enough. But there is enough space for everyone. Personally, I took seats early in the morning. And so every day. No people except beach attendants. It's great to swim in the morning. The water is clear but not warm. The beach is pebbly. I advise you to swim in rubber slippers. there are sea urchins not far from the beach (near the pier). There were days when the sea was rough. You can’t swim, it can be carried far from the shore. All kinds of water attractions at sea. Banana type, boating, scooters (for a fee).
Animation. In the evening after dinner. There is practically nothing to do. There are two options for where to go. First. The performance was acted out by young guys and girls animators in French. Not far from the proscenium there is a bar where you can drink a glass of red or white wine, beer, ouzo (local vodka), cocktails. Why is it in French? Because this hotel was chosen by the French. And so they fit in. Although with us were not only the French. And also the British (very noisy, especially when they get drunk, worse than our Russians), the Germans (very calm, it’s nice to relax with them), the Italians (they are very noisy on the beach, as if it was in one place), the Russians, and also themselves Greeks are coming for the weekend. And the themed Greek evening was only once in 11 days. "Lit" two artists. They sang songs, played waltzes. Second option. Walk through the village. There are many taverns and cafes in the village where you can taste national Greek cuisine and local spirits. The village is small, 500 meters long. There is a payphone in the village, which is located opposite the post office and next to the church. Phone cards can be purchased at the hotel reception or in any shop in the village (it will be cheaper). You can buy almost everything in minimarkets. On the very first day of arrival, we got to the national holiday, which was held in the center of the village itself. They came from other nearby villages. Music played, Greek songs were sung, sirtaki danced. It was a lot of fun.
Excursions. We took two excursions. One - in the capital of Corfu - the city of Kerkyra. Everything showed up so fast. Like a gallop through Europe. After visiting the capital, they boarded a boat and sailed along the eastern and southeastern coasts. During the walk there was dinner with local wine, ouzo and light refreshments. We had two musicians with us who performed songs with a guitar. Our guide was Natalia. It was interesting to say everything. And the second tour of the island. We went to the Achilleion Museum, which is in the east of the island. Then we headed west to a beautiful area called Paleokastritsa. Ride, for a fee, on a boat in the grottoes. The beauty is indescribable. The cleanest sea is the Adriatic. We went along the serpentine to the observation deck at an altitude of 900 m. The area could be seen at a glance. And even part of the Italian coast was visible.
We traveled on our own to Kerkyra on a regular bus. The city is small. We visited the old fortress. We saw the monument to Admiral F. F. Ushakov. Royal residence. We walked around the center of the capital. We visited the Church of St. Spyridon. And just walked through the narrow streets of the city. At 2 pm, the Greeks begin their siesta. Almost all shops, banks and other institutions are closed. Greeks sit in cafes and drink coffee. Rest so to speak.
I almost forgot, in the capital there is a store called "Naomi", which sells leather and fur products. I recommend to go. Sellers will pick you up and tell you. They will even offer you a drink if you are not driving. The choice of fur coats and leather goods is wide. Immediately I say, bargain with the owner of the store. The discounts are not bad. A taxi is called free of charge from the hotel.
Briefly about car rental. I previously, literally on the third day of our stay on the island, booked a Volkswagen Polo car through a hotel guide. As a result, I receive a Saab car, an executive class, through a representative of the Gertsa transport company. I have no skills to drive on mountain roads in such a big car. Therefore, I refused. And my booked car was given to a German from another hotel. Yes, it's my own fault. Booked a car for the penultimate day of rest. There are car rental companies in the village. Cheaper than a hotel.
Let me tell you a little about nutrition. The hotel operates on the "Ultra All Inclusive" system. "Ultra All Inclusive" includes: food, local drinks, some sports entertainment, imported drinks and significantly expands the range of sports entertainment offered to tourists at no extra charge. The food was excellent. In the morning for breakfast there was always juice from fresh oranges, fruits, olives and black olives (there were always), scrambled eggs, bacon, tea, coffee, cocoa, yogurt, sour cream. There were several varieties of cheese, sausage, ham in the cut. The bread is very tasty. For lunch, salads, vegetables, soups (two types), meat and fish dishes. Greek national dishes. Wine white and red (local production), beer and artificial juices. For dinner, almost the same range of dishes as for lunch.
The hotel's main restaurant is Dionissos. Once a week, you can order a table in the Italian restaurant "Mama Mia" according to the "A la carte" system. And also in the Greek restaurant "Zorbas" book a table in advance. At least every evening.
In the end, the holiday was a success. The hotel is excellent. Except for one trouble, which was worth waiting for a flight home for about 6 hours. The strike that began in Athens and was supported in other regions of the country.
