Unfortunately, at the time of the purchase of vouchers, I found only two reviews about this hotel in Russian, in which the hotel is equated to 4 stars. True, with a twist. And also not alarmed by the price of the hotel (itself to blame). I will not rate the stardom, judge for yourself. Very sorry for the money spent. I never write reviews, but having visited this “magnificent place”, there was an irresistible desire to write about everything I saw.
We arrived at the hotel at 12 midnight with a child of 3.5 years. We were given a number and told how to find our Family room (! ). There was no talk of escorting and delivering luggage.
So we, with a child in our arms and a suitcase, went to look for our home. True, I must say that it was not far away, and we did not look for it for so long. The dwelling turned out to be on the ground floor, overlooking a rickety fence and shabby local huts, the sun does not appear there at all, so we went to bed in wet beds, with hordes of mosquitoes. After the plane, as expected, we decided to take a shower, after which half of our room was flooded with water, since the shower was a kind of structure lined with tiles, the water in which did not leave, but was recruited. There is nothing to even talk about towels, they are gray, frayed rags with holes in which fingers can easily fit.
In the morning, at 5 o'clock, a rooster woke us up with his "singing", so when we woke up, we did not immediately realize where we were.
We immediately decided to change the room. There is nothing to say, they changed immediately and without altercation. Apparently we are not the only ones. We took a cheaper room with a so-called sea view. He turned out to be much nicer. However, it also had its own zest: the toilet itself coped only with a small need, after a big need, you had to get a bucket from the urn, draw water and cope with everything yourself. There is no need to talk about crooked switches, chipped tiles, torn lampshades and a hair dryer wrapped in electrical tape in the room, you don’t pay attention to it at all against the background of everything else. Only one of the three lamps in the bathroom was on. There was no light in the hallway at all.
Room cleaning consisted of changing bed linen, towels and wiping the floor. The dust was not wiped at all - by the end of the stay it was possible to draw on the furniture.
Now, as for nutrition. "Restaurant" is a canteen with hordes of flies! I have never seen so many flies anywhere. Moreover, they feel very at ease and are not afraid of anything. You can eat in this dining room only on the street - there you don’t have to fend off flies so fiercely. However, it is necessary to hold the table with one hand or place something under the table leg so that the table does not wobble. The dishes are all battered, the glasses have white stains (from which we can draw a comforting conclusion, they are still washed in the car), the forks and spoons are also covered with some kind of coating. There is no question of any tablecloths (as in the photographs). It was very funny to watch how the people who had just arrived stood and tried to choose cleaner dishes for themselves, but in despair, they took whatever they got. The children's menu included french fries (! ) and sausages (! ), which could easily be found on the common table. I can’t say anything about the food, the food is monotonous, but it’s enough, you can eat. True, you need to look, fried or not, if you do not like meat with blood....
In the middle of our stay, it began to rain heavily with a thunderstorm, in connection with which, the electricity was cut off, and we spent half a day without water and electricity. This time was for dinner. Now that was fun! In order to put something to eat, people illuminated themselves with lighters, mobile phones, asked each other what was on the trays. In my opinion, even the language barrier disappeared, everyone understood each other. The floors of the dining room and some of the tables were flooded with water, as the roof was not ready for such a rain. It ran in many places. Since there was no electricity and no apparatus worked, the only alcoholic drinks were wine, which was poured directly from the bags into plastic glasses, water was poured from the brought cooler. At the same time, the service staff did not lose their sense of humor - the evening was called a romantic dinner. True, after this “romantic dinner”, my husband and I came down with poisoning: my husband felt better, but my condition was more deplorable. I thank God that this did not affect the child. The next day, we realized that we were not the only ones, as many (like us) bought something edible in the nearest store and had dinner in their room.
As for the territory and the beach. The area is not well maintained. Lawns with green grass and trimmed we found only in front of the dining room and at the reception, all the rest were uncut and with withered grass. By the presence of a bridge and a dried-up ditch with a hose lying in it, we concluded that at the best of times there was some kind of artificial reservoir. The hotel often smelled like sewage, and in some places this smell was constant.
The beach at the hotel is not cleaned, the sand is mixed with cigarette butts and cocktail pipes, not to mention paper and other delights. Urns and ashtrays on the beach are not provided at all. Algae washed ashore in the beach area is also not cleaned.
In the advertisement of the hotel, we read that it was completely renovated in 2009. I'm embarrassed to ask, what was there before that?
My husband and I tried to determine how many stars our hotel has. So nowhere was they found anything about it - neither on the hotel itself, nor on the brochures, there were any identification marks.
However, in the information center of the hotel, we noticed a poster with the same photos as in the description of the hotel on tourist sites on the Internet. It turns out that once this hotel was called Sandy Beach and had 5 stars! But it was clear that it was a very, very long time ago.
