When I visited Corfu for the first time I stayed at Louis Grand. Therefore, in the review, I will sometimes compare "Louis Corcyra Beach" with him. Maybe this will help someone make a choice.
Sea
First of all, I want to note that the sea is not at all as bad as it is sometimes written. Perhaps it depends on the season (I was in June-July), but until 11 am and after 6 pm the sea is clear. Not as transparent as in Paleokastritsa, but this place is generally unique (although the water temperature and sharp stones in Paleokastritsa somehow prevent you from enjoying
complete transparency).
Between 11 am and 6 pm there is algae. I don't think it has to do with the port. Ships go back and forth around the clock, but infrequently (at this moment the view of the bay is very reminiscent of the Soviet Sea Battle slot machine). Rather, it is the result of the boat, which is used for water entertainment.
And they just happen, basically, at the time mentioned.
The beach and bottom are very pleasant.
There are few people - while Russians are still a minority in the hotel, and the bourgeoisie prefer the pool and concentrate there. Sunbeds are free, towels too (on bail).
In general, swimming in Gouvia is more pleasant than in many other places, especially in the morning and evening. The water is very warm.
Location
The views at the Beach are much more stunning than at the Grande. Very pretty, especially from the top.
In addition, the "Grand" stands alone in the bay, cut off from the world by a long serpentine, along which you can climb, and at least there are shops in Gouvia.
However, in the Grande, the owners forked out for a free bus to Kerkyra, which goes past the water park, and here only public transport is available (the bus stop is a 7-minute walk, the bus runs every 20 minutes and travels to the city for 15-20 minutes).
Territory
The territory is huge, very green. Walking is nice, especially in the evenings. Formally, I counted 3 beaches (well, who counts).
Sandy beaches are not very wide, I highly recommend lying under palm trees on the grass (in the sense of a sunbed on the grass) - it's not so hot there.
Pools
There are two pools - a small one (from the side of the sea) and a huge one (from the side of Gouvia), with fountains and waterfalls, which are great to use as a hydromassage. Two paddling pools and a huge bathtub, apparently designed to represent a Jacuzzi.
Number
The Louis corporation is generally characterized by gigantomania, but in a room in this hotel it was expressed especially clearly. Entering our triple room, we, without saying a word, said "Wow! ". You can actually ride a bike there.
Two huge rooms, two air conditioners (for some reason, a friend had one for the same money), two refrigerators and two TVs. 4 beds, one of which is double. Well, a balcony, of course (with a dryer). There are a lot of cabinets and drawers, only hangers, as usual, are not enough. But there are spare pillows.
There is a safe in the room, but you have to pay for it separately. However,
we often left gadgets and money in drawers - nothing was stolen.
Cleaning
It's all right here. However, it seemed to me that somehow a towel thrown on the floor (namely, in European hotels it is supposed to show that you want to replace it), was not replaced, but hung back. But I'm not sure.
Receptionist
Two years ago, almost no one spoke Russian in Corfu, and now there are employees with a Russian flag on their uniforms. But they are few. However, with a minimum knowledge of English, you will not have problems. All requests (especially complaints about breakdowns) are responded to quickly and adequately.
However, something that is not quite standard may not be understood (not because they do not want to help, but because they do not understand what they want from them and how to do it). For example, it took me some time to print boarding passes after online check-in. Don't lose hope, wait for the shift change, most likely with another employee
better luck.
bars
Greece produces a lot of well-known brands of alcohol. In particular, there are many liqueurs (Amaretto, Baileys, Drambouillet). Accordingly, all this alcohol is free. I like authentic drinks more (Drambouillet is so-so, and Amaretto is even better than what they poured into canisters at the Chemistry Faculty here). But on the beach goes with a bang.
It is especially pleasant that they pour local kumquat liquor. True, only orange. There is also white, which is much nicer, but you can almost only buy it at the factory. Do not confuse with forty-degree anise tincture,
which is lying around everywhere - the bottles are very similar.
By the way, according to my observations, Corfu is the only place where you can buy Corfiot kumquat liquor. In Athens, this will no longer be possible, as well as ordering remotely (if someone succeeded, please share your experience! )
The bartenders at the hotel are so-so. Many people cannot properly make a cocktail indicated on the menu.
They listen inattentively to the order, they often make mistakes. But, since everything is for free, this is not very critical.
Restaurant
With food, Louis is always okay. A lot of fruits: melons, watermelons, nectarines, apples, kiwi, oranges, pineapples, bananas. In the Grande, it seems, there was a cherry, but they squeezed it here. It is fashionable to go out to Gouvia and buy.
Excellent dried fruits and jams. Very nice cheesecake, delicious ice cream.
At least three types of meat (pork, beef, chicken are always available, there are lamb and turkey) and at least one type of fish for lunch and dinner. Unfortunately, unlike the "Grand", lamb was rarely given.
There is often sparkling wine. When you see him at breakfast, the "Diamond Arm" comes to mind. : )
Excellent pastries. The Grande used to have amazing frills, but there weren't any here. : (
The waiters are polite, friendly and efficient. There are no problems with tables.
Entertainment
Animation is much worse than in the "Grand" - there the team was just gorgeous.
In the evenings they usually put on some kind of show, but I didn’t like almost anything.
Miniclub at the level, every evening a mini disco. My youngest was delighted.
There are no dances for adults. It must be understood that this is a family hotel - there are few young people here.
In light of the above, it was not entirely clear to me why the water activities were so rich, but when I saw an old woman confidently dissecting on water skis, I stopped being surprised.
And water activities are really almost everything that I know (well, except that there is no surfing): cheesecakes / banana, water skiing, scooter, pedal boats, boat (you can rent for a day or half a day), canoe and paraglider.
I highly recommend paragliding - the view is simply amazing.
All this is available at any time, almost without a queue, they will teach you everything with pleasure, but be mentally prepared to fork out. 25 euros - the minimum that you can be ripped off.
There, on the pier, you can buy excursions on a yacht (in addition to the usual swimming and sunbathing morning trips, there are also three hour trips to Kerkyra in the evenings). We, however, did not get together.
Car rent
The hotel, oddly enough, is cheaper than in Gouvia. On the day "Fiat Panda" cost 40 euros. True, there were just unforgettable sensations when the gear shift knob fell off on the way : )
International law was not asked, when I asked myself, the employee phlegmatically replied that she did not care.
It is not difficult to drive around the island, the roads are good, the people are not reckless (apparently because mostly bourgeois tourists drive, and the Greeks themselves sit on the benches and complain about Angela Merkel : )
The only problem is that there are some very narrow roads that are very difficult to pass. I didn't mess with them.
Tours
I recommend to take a car and go to Paleokastritsa and Achilleion (in this order, as it is opposite to the order of tourist groups). Achilleion has audio guides in Russian.
Last time I took excursions from a local travel agency - it was terrible. Absolutely illiterate guide + 3 hours to pick up / transport tourists to hotels and forcibly deliver them to stores.
You can go to the water park (our family really likes it - clean, green, many good slides for different ages)
or by public transport (2 buses, transfer in Corfu, 2.5 euros one bus from the nose),
or by taxi (20 euros one way),
or take a car (40 euros per day),
or buy a ticket at a hotel or in Gouvia.
A ticket is tickets for the water park itself + 10 euros from the nose. Moreover, they are not taken from the hotel, but from the city bus stop.
It looks like it’s better for the family to go by car, but that unrealistically narrow road leads to the water park : (
Internet
The Internet is paid and absolutely sucks - the signal is frail, the speed is low, and authentication was generally done by woodpeckers with crooked hands: half the time the authentication page is buggy, and the MAC address of the device is nailed to the payment card at the first entrance, so do not expect to walk around in the morning
Internet from the tablet, and after lunch - from the phone. For this purpose, you will have to buy two cards.
Summary
Except for minor flaws, both the hotel and the island are just wonderful. Highly recommend!

Just returned from Louis Corcyra Beach. Rested on the system "all inclusive". The hotel is wonderful! There was a hardware failure last year. Now everything has been rechecked and re-debugged. Maybe that's why everywhere cleanliness, brilliance and order. The staff is super friendly. When it seemed to us that our bungalow was not in a secluded place enough and we asked to be moved, we were offered a chic, isolated room with two bathrooms and huge rooms, as well as a sliding glass wall overlooking a secluded terrace.

In these open spaces, the three of us lived, and without any additional payment!
Food and restaurant are amazing! Breakfast is Italian champagne in ice buckets (free, of course! ). The pool is large and unusually shaped - with a waterfall and fountains. The only drawback (it can also be a virtue for someone) is that the sea is too warm and quiet. The hotel is located not just in the bay, but rather even on the shore of the bay - there are no waves, not even the surf. But in a taxi with air conditioning (called instantly by hotel employees) in 20 minutes and for 20 euros you can get to the opposite, western coast of the island - to Paleokastritsa, where the sea is already in all its glory, snorkeling, etc. (I only advise you to stock up on special slippers for walking on a rocky bottom - in the resort shops in bulk - 5-6 euros each). Moreover, at the hotel, they will give you a “picnic basket” for the road - you just need to order it the day before - a beautiful cardboard box (for each! ) With a lot of food (and this is also “included”).
In general, it’s a pity that all good things end quickly, and we are again in Moscow, where many necessary things - for example, goodwill and safety - unlike Luis Corkyra, are not “turned on” at all, but on the contrary...
