I went with my husband last year to Greece. I am not a fan of the all-inclusive system, which most of my friends adore so much, so we decided to relax in inexpensive apartments, but with good infrastructure around near the sea. Still, it was not in vain that I did not listen to my relatives and decided to go to a hotel where meals were not provided. We lived in a village where taverns, cafes and other things abound. We spent about 10-15 euros on food for two and ate to satiety.
The beach is good - sandy. Walk 100 meters, probably. In principle, as we were promised, it happened. True, sun loungers and umbrellas for a surcharge. Sometimes, by the way, I cooked myself. It seems to me that in Greece it is simply necessary to try everything to the maximum. And, if the budget is limited, then buying everything fresh on the market and cooking it yourself is the best option. Moreover, there is not only what is there, everything, so it is EVERYTHING very fresh and tasty. One feta cheese is worth something. We bought it every day.
Let me tell you a little about the number itself. There is air conditioning, kitchen (tiles, refrigerator, cupboards, dishes), TV with Russian channels. You feel almost at home. Yes, no frills. Hairdryer, for example, had to be taken at the reception. But this, it seems to me, is not a problem. I just forgot mine at home, so there were some inconveniences, and so... everything is normal. Free internet in the hotel was very nice. Everything worked, and communication with relatives was always established. I'm happy, my husband didn't complain either. For a budget holiday - this is a super option, as for me.
