The hotel is not bad, but does not correspond to the declared 4 *. We liked lunches and dinners, but the breakfasts are unimportant - every day there are necessarily boiled eggs, fried sausages (or fried bacon) and either scrambled eggs or a watery omelette. The rest is toast, jam, cheese, dry. breakfasts, etc. In general, breakfast is very meager and not very healthy, so if you are traveling with small children, I advise you to take porridge. It was very disappointing that there is no playground, as it is written on the website. the children's room is a small shed with 3 paid machines, and the baskets with toys shown in the photo are nowhere to be found. So from entertainment for children, only the sea with a very good beach and a children's pool. We traveled all over the east coast and realized that, in principle, we were even lucky with the hotel in terms of the beach (we saw many excellent hotels, but almost everywhere the hotel and the sea are separated by an asphalt road and a rocky beach). The rooms are cleaned daily. By the way, mosquitoes tortured us and only on the third day we saw that we had a retractable mosquito net behind the curtain. In general, the rest was not bad, but once again I repeat that the hotel does not pull 4 stars. Alina, Ufa.

I agree with the positives. But! . . The staff is really friendly, but they try not to come to the rescue unless you press hard on them! Housekeeping is good, but some cleaners start to hack on trifles for 3-4 days, and this despite the daily leaving of 1 euro for "tea". And some clean very well and without a tip! There were a lot of cats in 2011, but they are all "educated" and very "grateful", so it's very good and interesting with them! ! There are a lot of sea urchins in the sea, and there are many on the rocks in general, you need to be careful where there are stone ridges at the bottom. Now about the cons: There was no garbage on the beach when I was there - daily cleaning of the territory is carried out. The food is normal - NOT monotonous! Choice of 5-7 main courses, appetizers, salads, etc. - everything is absolutely fine. If someone would like to be able to choose from dozens of dishes, then indeed, this hotel does not have this, but in my opinion everything is in order in this respect. As for the room - we initially had it very good, so I can’t comment on anything here. . The real big problem is mosquitoes! This is true for the whole of Greece! In the hotel, mosquito nets in balcony doors have large gaps between the net and the door frame - they simply break out of the frame when the doors are carelessly opened or closed. Mosquitoes pester very strongly at night! I asked for help from the friendly hotel staff. . . I was very kindly answered that they are well aware of this problem, everyone turns to them about this, but they cannot help in any way (friendly smile!!!... ). In short, sent . . However, I asked them for tape to seal the gaps. They pretended not to know what scotch is. . . I explained, they said they didn't have any scotch! (friendly smile!... ). But still they gave me a can of anti-mosquito spray, the spray turned out to be very good! I went to the store, searched, bought a roll of scotch tape (exactly the same as ours) for 1.5 euros, sealed the cracks, sprayed it with a spray and thus solved the PROBLEM !! ! I advise everyone to take a roll of scotch tape with them to Greece - it will help you will not drag it away, but will solve a serious problem if necessary! Summary: the hotel is really good, if you do not make excessive demands and have scotch on hand! And there are plenty of other Scotch in cafes and taverns! =))).

I never write reviews about hotels, but after reading reviews about hotels "Zephiros 3 *" I decided to express my opinion too. Everything is in order. I had a rest in May 2010. We arrived in the city of Heraklion already in the afternoon, and while everyone was placed in hotels, evening came. I was the last one on the bus and I was brought to "Zephiros" late in the evening tired and hungry. At the reception, the already well-known "meagher, part-time hostess" met me at the reception. As for the migra, I probably agree, in fact, not the friendliest person. Looking ahead a little, I want to say that you can find a common language with all people. In short, when I left, the hostess of the hotel saw me off and invited me to come to her hotel again, we parted with her as good friends. They put me in a room on the first floor overlooking the garden. I must say right away that the first floor was very embarrassing for me, the balcony was almost on the ground, I was alone in the room, somehow I felt uneasy. She decided to wait until morning and ask me to move. The hostess did not refuse my request, but asked me to wait one day until the room was free. During this day, I realized that I don’t want to move anywhere anymore, it was so calm and comfortable. The truth is said "Morning is wiser than evening! ". The room is really not a presidential size, but quite normal, everything you need is there, and I came to relax and get new impressions, and not sit in the room from morning to evening. The room was cleaned regularly and very well. Most importantly, only once it turned out to catch the maid, and everything was done completely unnoticed by the guests.
About the tip. As elsewhere, in Crete it is customary to tip. In cafes and taverns, about 10% of the order or just small change. For maids in hotels, I left a tip of 1 - 3 euros, and even then not every day. But I want to warn you right away, even if you don’t leave a penny anywhere, the attitude towards you will not change for the worse!
Russians are loved in Crete, and not for a full wallet, but simply love. Perhaps because there are not so many Russians resting in Crete.
I especially want to say about the location of the hotel. It is located on the very seashore, and the central doors overlook the main street of Stalida. Despite the fact that the hotel is located on a central noisy street, where the Germans "buzz" in the bars until the morning, it was very quiet and calm in the room, I slept great. Incredibly beautiful and quiet sea. There is a private beach, sun loungers and umbrellas for a fee, if I'm not mistaken for 5 euros, the always friendly grandfather collects the fee, who also works as a gardener in hotels.
The hotel has a nice outdoor swimming pool, next to it sunbeds are free for everyone. I have never noticed sidelong glances about a busy free sunbed or on another occasion from the Germans or Finns, who were just at that time resting at the hotel.
About nutrition. Perhaps, if someone is used to Egyptian and Turkish exuberance, he will not like the choice. The food system is a buffet. All meals were hearty and tasty. Breakfast every day was with a standard set of dishes, but at dinner every day the dishes changed. Fish and meat dishes, poultry and lamb dishes alternated. I especially want to note the service in the restaurant. When I warned that I would have an early excursion, they set the table for me early in the morning or gave me a "dry ration" with me, the same was the case in the evening, if I was late from the excursion for dinner, snacks were brought to my room.
As for entertainment, I would probably agree that there is not much entertainment in the hotel. Of course, you can ride a "water banana" or a scooter or just sunbathe. That's all there is to entertainment.
I went on excursions only with the host travel agency, I was afraid to take it on the street. Of course, the prices on the street are more acceptable, but I chose a safer option. I especially liked the excursion to the island of Santorini and the island - the fortress of Spinalongu + barbecue in Mirabello Bay. Although it was interesting everywhere, you learn the ancient culture and customs. A lot of positive impressions!
In conclusion, I want to note that if I have a chance to visit Crete again, I will choose the Zephiros 3 * hotel. I rested in other countries, lived in 4 * and 5 * hotels. When I was choosing a hotel, I really understood that a 3 * hotel is, sorry, not 5 *, and for the money invested, this is also not 5 *. Therefore, I did not experience any unexpected shock. The impression was very positive.
I don’t want to impose anything on anyone, and even more so I don’t want to call for rest in Crete only at the Zephiros 3 * hotel. Everyone chooses according to their preferences, requests and, finally, according to their wallet, I just liked it.
This is my possibly subjective opinion.
Have a nice holiday!

The food was delicious and varied, the room was cleaned daily with the change of bed linen and towels. The hotel is located in a lively village with a large number of taverns, bars, shops and car rental offices. I highly recommend taking a car and admiring the beauties of the island on your own, in addition to famous places and attractions, if possible, visit the southern coast, where there are completely wild beaches and there are not a single tourist. It was a wonderful holiday with a lot of positive impressions. Irina.

Pros: 1. Friendly staff (there are Russian-speaking workers). Or you can negotiate in English or German. 2. clean rooms. 2. clean rooms. Cleaning during the day when everything is mostly on the beach is convenient.
3. The territory of the hotel is small, but VERY green: the walls of the hotel are entwined with some kind of shrubs, flowers, grass and trees grow near the pool. The sun lounger can be installed on the grass, in the shade. Sun loungers are paid (but not for everyone. We flew through the Travel Store company, it was free for us).
4. dinner was usually set outside. There are 4 or 5 tables almost completely by the sea. They are BEHIND the buffet and the dining room. We didn't even find them right away.
5. there is a supermarket opposite the hotel. They sell everything you need: groceries (including fruits and vegetables), and caps, hats, balls and masks, and the press, and even some local cat food.
6. The hotel is located on a good tourist street, you can walk along it in the evening, go for souvenirs. Lots of cafes. In the evening it starts to smell strongly of olives from everywhere!!!
7. the sea is clean, there are no living creatures (once we saw a sea urchin). But if you want to look at the living creatures, a piece of a small rock sticks out not far from the shore, there are fish and hedgehogs. You can swim by yourself (if you swim well).
8. there is a tree on the beach. Because sun loungers and umbrellas are paid (in my opinion, 2 euros), then you can sit on the sand in the shade of a tree. After lunch, there may not be enough space there - there are many who want to stay in the shade for free.
9. A cat and kittens live on the territory of the hotel. Nobody chases them, and the staff is calm about the fact that they are fed by tourists =) If you like cats, the hotel is for you =)
10. Nearby (about 5 minutes walk) there is an Orthodox chapel where services are being held. We were at the same morning. The locals reacted to our appearance very calmly, although they looked askance with interest (apparently, 2 young girls, obviously tourists, are not a frequent occurrence at services).
Minuses:
1. dirty beach, rubbish lying around. But be patient.
2. monotonous food. Some fruit. And for some reason, always cold (and because of this, nasty) pasta.
3. can settle in a worse room. We had booked a room with 2 beds and a sea view. Settled with one bed and garden view. I had to go to the reception 10 times and remind that "you have to relocate us! ". Only a day later they were able to achieve this.
4. almost all the sun loungers by the pool are in one way or another in the sun. There is not always where to drag them into the shade.
In general, the hotel is very good. I would gladly stay there again.
