In general, I liked everything, from the small minuses - food for an amateur (she was fed up) and an old TV in the room.
Our room was quite spacious and comfortable.
Meals: taste - for an amateur, service in the restaurant - super.
I liked the territory in the sense that everything is close and thought out...
Restaurants and buildings are conveniently located, there are enough toilets! , there are changing places near the beach and showers outside the rooms, which turned out to be very convenient (we had a late flight).
Slides for children and adults, fun animation. . .
An excellent sandy beach with an underwater ridge to the side (where there are fish, crabs and even sea urchins).
Last night we returned from Crete, rested at the hotel "Lyttos Beach". I can recommend this hotel to everyone who does not want to go far from Heraklion airport. A very worthy four!
The food is wonderful - every day for breakfast freshly baked small buns, pancakes, pancakes, omelettes, muesli flakes, scrambled eggs and sausage cheeses, porridge and yoghurts with additives. Coffee-cocoa-cappuccino from machines, tea (bags or custard), milk-fruit shakes (smoosies) every other day freshly squeezed orange juice.
Lunch - different meat (pork, beef, chicken, lamb, turkey, duck even was) both stewed and grilled, two types of fish, seasonal vegetables for garnish, for lovers there are french fries and rice, and stewed vegetables, and salads with mayonnaise. For lunch and dinner, bottled white, rose, red wine, beer. Sweets (almost like Turkish) - cakes, jellies, pastries. From fruits - watermelon, melon, grapefruit, orange, banana, apricot, apple.
Dinner is always themed - Italian (pasta), Mediterranean (seafood), Latino (paella), Asian (sushi), Greek (moussaka), etc. For lunch and dinner, you can go to a tavern on the seashore, sign up for a tavern in advance, there are fewer places than in a restaurant.
The quality of the food at the hotel is excellent, the service is at a good level. In the pool bar from 11 to 17 fresh three types of pizza, ice cream (5 varieties) and soft drinks - self-service, you take as much as you want.
Good quality alcohol. We didn’t take a local one, my husband drank Ballantines whiskey, I took a martini or dry champagne, my friends drank metaxa and took cocktails - everyone is alive and well.
Everything about food, now about the hotel - the territory is chic, large and well-groomed. For children (we have two 11 and 5 years old) there is an excellent playground and a swimming pool with three wonderful slides (lifeguards are on duty near the pools and at the exit site from the slides from 10 to 18). For younger peanuts there is a paddling pool with small slides. The buildings are two-three-story with terraces, there are mosquito nets. There are two Russian channels on TV - news and RTR planet. The minibar is empty. We bought packs of water in Hersonissos. The hotel has a mini market with everything you need.
Rooms are cleaned daily, towels are changed as you like - throw it on the floor - change it, don't throw it, leave the same. Linen is changed every three days.
A little about the beach... The beach is private (it turned out to be a rarity in Crete), umbrellas, sunbeds and towels - free of charge (in neighboring hotels two sunbeds and an umbrella - 6 euros). The beach itself is sandy, but the entrance to the sea with stones. We went swimming to the right of the pier, you can go there without special shoes, to the left of the pier you can’t just go in, you need special slippers, a lot of stones and hedgehogs in the stones. There was a storm twice in two weeks, a red flag hung and it was impossible to swim. There is a lifeguard on duty at the beach.
Further, about the animation - it was strange that with the population of the hotel by Russian-speaking citizens, 60% of the animation is designed for Germans. There are no Russian speakers among the animators themselves - Germans, Italians, a Pole and a Dutch woman. There are two Moldovan girls in the miniclub who speak Russian. Evening shows - 100% amateur, but the guys are trying very hard.
About the availability of the Internet - in the rooms, as it is positioned on the hotel website, there is no WIFI network. The Internet is available at the reception, in the pullbar (by the pool) and in the piano bar (near the restaurant), the access code hangs at the reception.
About excursions - taking a guide, of course, is very expensive, there is an option to walk from the hotel along the promenade to the left and take excursions 30-40% cheaper, but in Greek or English. We regretted that we did not take Santorini and Gramvusa from them, it would be very profitable - almost 200 euros savings for 2 adults and 2 children. Lunches on large excursions are not included in the price (not Turkey !!! ), a meal for four is 35 - 50 euros (a full meal). We also rented a car for three days (we took it from the representative of our guide, but you can rent it cheaper from the street, save 50-100 euros at least). We took Pezhulka 307 (80 euros per day) - we ourselves looked at the Palace of Knossos, the cave of Zeus, the Lassithi plateau and Agios Nikolaos. We went to Malia, Heraklion and Hersonissos. You can get to Hersonissos by taxi (call from the reception - 8 euros one way).
Sorry, the review turned out to be very long, but detailed... In general, we really liked both Crete and the hotel. I recommend the hotel to families with children, there are a lot of children in the hotel.
Happy holidays everyone!
I would like to say about Sveta, the representative of the tour operator, who said that you can read about the rules of the hotel in the English-German guide. and contact her only for excursions. We rested 3 families. We rented a Vito bus and for 180 euros, together with gasoline, traveled around the Postrov, combined 4 excursions into one. We also met wonderful people from Lviv, Drohobych, Kharkov, St. Petersburg, France. The holiday was a success. We will return to Greece again.
In all, Analispi Lyttos is the most luxurious . . The hotel nearby is also good, but its beach is dirty. And the road passes right under the territory . .
I liked the fact that they settled right away, and they gave the room with a view of the sea, and not the garden, as we paid for. The rooms are normal, clean, recently renovated. Safe, TV, everything working. I didn’t like the mattresses . . Very hard. But the posture is like that of a soldier) But maybe someone likes to sleep on such) They cleaned every day. The strangest thing is that they didn’t take a tip. We put these unfortunate 2 euros all over the room: both on the bed and on the TV . . they don’t take . .
Now about food. Edible, sometimes even tasty. There is a lot of meat, fish, various cheeses. . I liked olives and bottled wine for lunch and dinner. . Amazingly few fruits. . Apples, pears, sometimes peaches. . Yes, and they taste sour. . The most incomprehensible and annoying moment was 8 -mi local tables . . Well, why is this ? ? Who came up with it ? ? Why, instead of a romantic dinner, we were forced to sit like in a student canteen and apologize to those like us who want to spend the evening romantically over a bottle of wine. It was possible to take a table only at the very beginning of dinner, and even then it’s not a fact that no one will be seated with you . . Sadness . . We started going to dinner in the city . . Although why then all ??
By the way, there is a Zorbas tavern near the hotel. There is an old BMW motorcycle near it.
We took 2 excursions . . The cave of Zeus and Santorini . . The cave is not stressful. By the way, you can buy olive oil on excursions, the prices are the same as everywhere else, it’s checked)) And the wine is a little expensive . .
Santorini . . This is a separate song. Beautiful, landscapes, black beaches, a volcano . . But tiring . . And you need to go for 2 days. Because running after a guide and looking at all this unearthly beauty is blasphemous . . You can go yourself no problems at all . . Regretted that they did not. Superjet ticket approx 80 euros. .
We rented a car. Peugeot 308. We went to Angelos Nikolos and Heraklion. We looked at the Palace of Knossos, the center of Heraklion, then went to Spinalonga and the lake in which the Gods bathed . . Refueled for 24 euros . . Still left))
In general, I liked Crete, but I liked this place for once . . We won’t go again . . I wanted more history, mystery, some kind of charisma, or something . . Although, maybe in 5 years we’ll be back to taste moussaka in Zorbas)))
- a wonderful playground with swings, slides, bungee.
- children's pool with mini water park
- beach - sand, in front of the stove to the right of the pier there is a good entry, shallow, the stove dampens the waves, such a paddling pool for kids - excellent, the sea is warm.
- in a restaurant you can always find something to eat for children - puree, soup, yogurt, boiled vegetables, fish, scrambled eggs for breakfast, you can also choose something meat, I took instant cereals with me - they were not useful.
- there are ramps everywhere, there were no problems walking with a stroller (which cannot be said about the chic five in the neighborhood, there are no ramps at all, the whole territory is on several levels, there are a lot of steps)
- we went to the mini-club a couple of times, the child played with toys, incl. in the German room - no one said anything, they offered to draw, so the situation described in the reviews did not affect us.
- they give strollers, pots, there is an electric kettle in the room - I didn’t have to take it with me, also a plus.
Now in more detail why is "almost" perfect, i. e. what did not like:
- a playground in the sun, during the day the slides heat up (by the way, for some reason they are not slippery at all), the surface is just red-hot, it is clear that grass or sand cannot be there by definition, because near the pool, so we walked there only after dinner
- the water in the children's pool is cool until lunch, until it warms up in the sun, although the adult pool is heated.
- very hot and stuffy in the mini-club
- there was no animation for children, there were not enough performances, children's disco.
- fruits are scattered at the very beginning of dinner (grapes, bananas, nectarines) and are no longer brought, only apples, pears, ugly oranges, kiwi, watermelons and melons are also taken apart quickly, but at least they are brought more, you have to watch.
- sugary - sweet rice milk porridge, you definitely won’t give this to children.
And so in general
1. Placed in a couple of minutes, we only had time to drink juice and fill out questionnaires, we were given the key to the room. The room is small but with great sea view even though we paid for Garden View. The furniture is normal, the TV is really old, but we didn’t turn it on, the plumbing is German. A modest room, but everything worked, nothing broke, the bedding is good, beach towels can be changed at least several times a day. They cleaned before dinner, always in our absence, I can’t name a thorough cleaning, many vacationers complained, but maybe we were lucky with the maid, they cleaned us more or less normally (didn’t climb under the beds and bedside tables - didn’t check)
2. I liked the food, there was always fish, several types of meat - everything was delicious, there were a couple of dishes from octopuses, mussels, even snails. In the mornings, not only soy sausages, but also bacon was. Fresh is free, three coffee machines, I didn’t like the wine, my husband approved the beer, I would like the pastries to be more varied of course. There were queues, but we began to arrive early for breakfast and lunch, 10 minutes before the scheduled start, and for dinner 40 minutes. to the end - there were no queues, they sat by themselves, only 2 times they sat down with us.
3. The sea for 10 days was calm 1 time, there were small waves for a couple of days, the rest of the time a red flag hung. But the sea is very warm and clean, though next time we will choose a hotel in a bay or a bay, I am not a fan of waves (except to admire)
4. The territory is immersed in greenery and flowers, compared with neighboring hotels, so it's just a park in ours. And although the hotel area is large, everything is compact and thoughtfully placed, everything is nearby - the restaurant, the pools, the playground, and the beach.
5. We rented a car at the hotel at Maryan’s, were extremely dissatisfied with their service, if anyone is interested, I’ll write more in the comments
Conclusion: the hotel is excellent for the money, I highly recommend it to families with children, young people and couples, it can be boring there, if someone wants luxury - choose luxury fives, there is no pathos here, but there is comfort, good service and all conditions for children.
I had the best impressions from the island, the only thing that overshadowed me was the flight from Heraklion, such a slow, unorganized check-in, I have never seen such queues anywhere else.
