Yes, we have Dessole hotel bracelets and have the opportunity to use the entire infrastructure of this hotel, including the restaurant. BUT, in fact, we do not live in a 4 * hotel, where we were issued according to the documents, but in a neighboring 2 * hotel.
Also, this is indicated by the fact that we paid a tourist tax when checking into a hotel for 12 days in the amount of only 6 euros - this is the amount for the hotel category 1-2 * (0.5 euros per day). Although, as we booked a 4 * hotel, we had to pay a tax of 36 euros for 12 days - 3 euros per day.
So, as on the official website of the Dessole Malia Beach hotel, which I booked and paid for, there is no information and photos about the building and rooms with the name Primavera, and our room and the area around it make it possible to doubt the category of the hotel and the belonging of the Primavera building to the hotel Dessole Malia Bech, be careful not to ruin your holiday. I didn’t appreciate the bays in which I used to be and where it’s always calm))) everywhere there are stones in the water, in some places sea urchins, in few places there is a path made of sand, and then it is constantly densely populated with people) in short, you have to sail far, far away))) This is a huge minus, it directly affected the assessment of the hotel. In the future I will choose hotels based on reviews on the beach. Sunbeds are always available. Up to 12 days exactly)
Food. Also not a strong point of the hotel. Monotonous and boring, although they try to change the meat every meal. But do not expect such an abundance as in Turkey and Egypt. It's not a strong point either.
Staff. Huge plus. Greeks are very polite and smiling. Very pleased. I don’t like animators, but here they are especially cool) I made friends and signed up on insta) In short, people are a fat plus!
The location is good. Nearby is the city with bars, nightclubs, souvenir shops and local beauties. Everything is inexpensive and for every taste. Everyone should like it. You will also find old houses and there are many photo zones) Renting a car, moped or ATV is also no problem.
Weather. Very ambiguous we got. They predicted 35-36, in fact 25-29 and 25 - it's really very cold))) It was freezing in the pool)))

We never regretted that we decided to go to Crete and to this hotel.
The road from the Airport took 40 minutes, we were at the hotel around 9.00 in the morning, the bracelets are put on immediately, but the check-in is only after 13.00. We put our luggage in the luggage room, had breakfast, and then changed into swimsuits and had a great time until lunch, using the beach, the pool and the bar. So prepare swimsuits, slippers and at least 1 towel closer somewhere. Beach towels are provided with the room.
There are only three pools: the first near the sea with sea water, there is also a small one for small children, and a jacuzzi, in the distance of the territory there is a large pool with fresh water and there is also one lost on the territory, tiny. The pools are not heated, but the water is heated by the sun, refreshing and invigorating at the same time.
The beach is large, spacious, with fine fine sand. There are a lot of sunbeds (free of charge), there are under umbrellas or without them. It is better to swim on the left side of the beach or even go to the beach of a neighboring hotel - there are no reefs, beautiful even sand. The water is clear, clean, glistens in the sun, fish swim up. When leaving the beach on the territory of the hotel - there are tanks with water for rinsing the feet, as well as three showers.
Room - booked a standard room with a view of the garden, gave a view of the sea. Nice. The furniture is new, clean, light colors. The balcony is spacious with 2 chairs and a table. Swimwear can be dried either on chairs, or you can take a rope and clothespins with you. There are already safes in the rooms. Also TV plasma, refrigerator, air conditioning (never turned on), hair dryer. No cosmetics are provided. A reservoir of liquid soap is screwed near the sink, and a reservoir of hair and body gel is screwed above the bathtub. Slippers, no bathrobes. The closet is large, spacious, a lot of hangers. Bed 2-bedroom, large. The child had a comfortable single bed. There are blankets in the closet - for cool nights. Mosquitoes are found, take a fumigator and a remedy for mosquitoes and relieve itching after bites.
They cleaned every day, quite normally, without fanaticism, beach towels were changed every other day, white bath towels - as needed.
There is Wi-Fi on the territory, the password for it is issued at the reception - it is different for each device. It does not always work well, especially in the evening - great difficulties. An hour later, it automatically turns off, you have to log in again (the password does not remember, so you have to carry a piece of paper with you). It was a little stressful. But in the morning it worked great, even in the room.
Food: breakfast from 7 to 10 in the main restaurant. The menu is great for all tastes. And porridge, and fruits, and yogurt, and pancakes, and scrambled eggs, and just eggs, vegetables, fried ham, mushrooms, sweets, honey, jams, nutella, etc. Not to list everything, eyes run wide. Everything is VERY tasty! Who did not have time for tomorrow in the main hotel - you can eat the same thing in a nearby tavern. The pool bar opens at 10.00. There are a lot of people there, but the bartenders try their best. From 11.00 - sandwiches, buns, etc. are put up near the bar. And near the far pool, a sacred ceremony begins - cooking pizza in front of your eyes and cooking it in a real oven. The pizza is very tasty, and the uncle is awesome! There is also another bar, there are always few people there, cocktails are prepared thoughtfully, it turns out tastier. Lunch from 13 to 15. Also very varied: meat, fish, mussels, vegetables, soups, side dishes, ice cream, fruits, wine / beer, tea / coffee, sweets. Again - after there is lunch in a tavern. From 15 to 18 - ice cream is served at the bars. Dinner from 19.00 to 21.30. Here, of course, it is not very convenient that it ends so early. It gets dark late + many from excursions or trips return late - but is dinner already over?
The tavern hosts themed dinners every other day - Chinese and fish. They must be registered in advance. The Chinese didn’t impress me with anything, but the fish one is simply amazing - swordfish, cuttlefish, octopus, red mullet, mussels, oysters, shrimp, squid, etc. Delicious!
If you leave the hotel for the whole day, you can order a lunch box the day before (until 18.00) - in a cooler bag you will be given: sandwiches, cucumbers, tomatoes, fruits, juice, water, sweet bars. Well done, this is very convenient!
The gym is not very convenient - from 10.00. We didn't go there. There is also a hammam, masseur, peeling with fish - all, of course, for an additional fee.
You can play mini-golf, tennis (free of charge), bowling (5 euros per hour).
Animators are cool funny guys. They give 100%, but they don’t force anyone anywhere, everything is of their own free will. Julia from the children's club is generally a good fairy! At 21.00 there was always a mini-disco, at 21.3-0 there was an evening show. Everything takes place in the amphitheater near the far pool, it was always full! Animators even held a wedding on the beach!
The most fashionable building - overlooking the sea, where the rooms are more expensive, I would not advise families with children - there is loud music at the bar in the evening. And on Thursday they saw off a big race of Russians - in general, they rioted until 12.00
The territory of the hotel is magnificent - tangerines, olives, lemons, limes, pears, quince, pomegranates, bananas, apricots grow. A whole collection of varietal roses, they smell so good! Many palm trees, cacti, flowering shrubs, there is a small fountain.
Souvenirs - bought wine, olive oil, soap, honey, jam, magnets, cups, plates. They were afraid that there would not be an advantage, but nothing happened.
Trips - excursions to take from Pegasus did not arise. Crazy guys, great prices. They took a car, rental offices - the sea, you can choose any. We signed an agreement with a full cash register and without a franchise. In advance, we uploaded a map of Europe to the navigator, looked at the routes. One day - we went to the Palace of Knossos, to Rethymno, to Lake Kournas (JUST SUPER!!!! ), and to the Cretan Aquarium. Second day - Kera Monastery, Zeus Cave, Lassithi Plateau, Elounda, Plaka, Spinalonga Island (ALSO SUPER!!! ), Agius Nikolaus (very beautiful town). Then we went to the south side of the island - to Ierapetra. The roads are good, everything is written on signs and signs, gasoline is 1.70 euros, there are many gas stations.
We were lucky with the weather. There was not a single rain, only a couple of days there were light clouds. But on the mountains in the afternoon, rain clouds swirled all the time, but near the sea - the sun, beauty. During the day it was 28-29 degrees, at night about 22. Very nice. The sea was calm all week, only on the last day there were waves - but we like it, we jumped on them from the heart. The water is still clear even with waves!
Walking streets outside the hotel - only souvenir shops, taverns and pubs. There were Englishmen, of average degree of intoxication and adequacy, worn on motorcycles and ATVs.
In general, we really liked Crete! Magnificent nature, indescribably beautiful sea, historical heritage, friendly and helpful Cretans, delicious cuisine. I think we'll be back there!

The entrance to the sea is sandy, the sea is warm, slippers are not needed. There are plenty of sunbeds near the sea, near three pools, enough for everyone. Service at the highest level. The hotel staff is very attentive and friendly, they speak Russian. Food is a separate issue, just super, everything is fresh and very tasty. There is a main restaurant, a tavern, where kebabs are also fried every day. Very tasty pizzas are baked near the pool, all kinds of drinks in the bars. The girls at the reception gave us a map of Malia, told us where the old city is, where the bus stop goes to Heraklion, Chersonesos, Nicholas. And we went ourselves, to Heraklion 1 hour 3.50 euros, to Chersonesos 10min. 1 euro, Nicholas 40 min. 4 euros. The hotel has a spa, we recommend it to everyone. You will either have to dance Sirtaki on the bed, or go to this evening. The rest of the evening is quiet. The second "but" - if you are an early bird and want to have breakfast at 7 in the morning and go to the sea, get ready for the fact that you will be met with cold meat and other cuts (by the way, the cuts are pretty good), and all these scrambled eggs, bacons, omelettes , baked tomatoes, pancakes only start at 7.30-8.00 (because they cook everything fresh and don't warm up yesterday's : ( So choose - a light breakfast and the sea early : ) or a dense tomorrow and hot sun and busy sunbeds later.
