The road was tiresome. About 200 km one way. On the way, we stopped in Agios Nikolaus, bought on the city beach, took pictures, and drove on. Further, from the road, we randomly saw a wonderful beach. Watsna Beach, if I'm not mistaken. Azure-colored water with white sand... We seemed to have been to Cuba or the Dominican Republic)) Then about 50 km of serpentine and we are there. Vai is a beautiful place, you can't say anything, a palm grove, a clean beach, small cafes and fish that bite you)) In general, a long and tiring road has fully justified itself.
On the third day we went to southern Crete. Matala Beach, also known as "Hippie Beach". There is a huge rock on the beach, in which holes, the size of small rooms, are gouged. There are a lot of them here. Entrance is free, but there is a sign saying "Entry at your own risk".
Then we went to eastern Crete, to Balos beach. We drove by car to the port of Kissamos (about 200 km), where we bought a ticket for a steamboat (24 euros in both directions per person) and an hour later we reached Balos. I can't find literary words to describe this beach. This must be seen.
