We stayed at this hotel in the second half of June 2012. We chose this hotel due to reasonable prices and positive reviews. All expectations were justified. We were met by the wife of the owner of the hotel (Dimitras), Renata, and gave us a wonderful room on the second floor with a sea view. The rooms are quite simple but very comfortable. Two rooms: a bedroom with two beds that can be moved together and a TV and a living-kitchen with a stove, refrigerator and all necessary utensils, as well as a table, chairs and 2 more small beds. And a bathroom with hot water. Large balcony with dryer, table with chairs.
Rooms are cleaned every day, linen is changed every 3-4 days.
The hotel also has a wonderful swimming pool and WIFI zone. Airplanes fly, but you quickly get used to them, it’s even interesting to look at them while lying on the beach.
The beach at the hotel is quite narrow and was completely flooded by the end of June, but this is not a problem, since the neighboring beaches belonging to various taverns and cafes are very comfortable, while staying on them is free and unlimited, subject to the purchase of something from the menu, at least water. The prices are pleasing.
In terms of food: we went a couple of times to the neighboring Ambrosia, everything is really very good, but then we found a place where we liked it even more. If you walk to the right of the exit from the hotel along the embankment, there will be a tavern with a yellow sign, which, in my opinion, is called "Tavern" : ) Unlike Ambrosia, there are much fewer visitors there, due to less advertising, but at the same time chic, a varied and inexpensive menu from the hostess and, concurrently, the chef - Doni, as well as the incredibly hospitable attitude of the waiters (the friendly Michalis was especially remembered : ). This tavern has one more advantage over Ambrosia: the absence of insects on the tables and in the air : ) This is explained by the fact that on each table there is a small pretty flower, which for some reason they are afraid to fly up to. In general, the dishes in taverns are very large, along with the bill they always brought a "gift from the establishment" in the form of watermelon slices, cakes and a decanter of Raki (local grape vodka). Considering the size of the dishes, the food comes out pretty cheap. For two with wine and cocktails about 25 euros.
There are several shops near the hotel, and a giant supermarket is a 20-minute walk away. Comfortable buses run constantly to Heraklion. We managed to walk around this beautiful city several times and even take a ferry to Athens.
In general, we all really liked it and, if the opportunity arises, we want to return there!

We rested in CORALLI BEACH APARTMENTS APART 4 * in August 2011. The hotel does not pull more than two stars. Of the pluses, it is quite clean bed linen and always warm water. And also the proximity of the sea (you can swim and sunbathe on a lounger by the pool or on the balcony after dinner). The beach opposite the hotel is cozy and has a good sandy entry (during a storm it was almost completely flooded, we had to walk a little further).

We were not lucky - the storm was 10 days out of 14. Of the minuses, this is a dirty room (we bought a jar of liquid with bleach and everyone washed the toilet, sink, bath, table and chairs on the balcony). There is nothing in the bathroom - no soap, no shampoo, no hair dryer declared in the advertisement (And this is a 4 * hotel). The dishes were for two persons (and there were three of us), barely through the guide they asked for another fork and spoon. I had to buy my own frying pan, because nothing could be fried in their frying pan, everything burned. They saw a microwave at the neighbors, we didn’t have it, it seems that tourists themselves buy appliances for a normal life, so they leave everything to them. They took out the trash themselves. Another of the minuses is the planes coming in for landing, just above our balcony (the landing gear is visible). EVERY FIVE MINUTES!!! ! Fortunately, they do not fly from 24 to 6. And the screaming cicadas are something (I really wanted to buy dichlorvos). There is a gap under the front door cm 4. audibility is perfect. Once we saw an advertisement for a barbecue in a hotel for 30 euros per person. We didn't go because we were tired after the tour. The staff speaks only English (although almost all Russians were in the hotel). There are markets near the hotel (products and just small things), and a 20-minute walk from a SPAR supermarket and some other opposite, there are normal products. We went several times to the cafe "AMBROSIA" - I liked it, it's delicious, but every day it's expensive to eat there. Not far from the hotel is the Cretan Aquarium (15 minutes on foot). There are almost no people in the evening at 19, you can safely see everything. Very beautiful! We rented a car for 4 days, traveled (Chania, Ierapetra, Spili, Lassithi, Agios Nicholas, Vai beach) and escaped from the storm on the Libyan Sea. We are the second time in Crete, (were in the Rethymno area in a 3 * apart-hotel), there is something to compare with. I won't go to this hotel again. And I highly recommend presenting this hotel as a 2 * - self-catering rooms.
