Breakfast - tea, coffee, cocoa to choose from, boiled egg, white bread, butter, cheese, sausage, jam, cookies. It was enough for me and my husband. We ordered lunch from the pool bar several times. The owner's son makes good cocktails and cooks well. Several times he fried fish for us, prepared a salad - quickly and tasty. Enjoyed the bar and the pool. When the sea is windy, lie down by the pool is not bad. We dined almost constantly at the Alpha tavern, which is on the way to the beach. We have tried all the menus and I can say better that no one cooks in the immediate surroundings. I recommend, and the price level is almost the same. We went to Heraklion on our own, 15 minutes by bus. Excursions were taken both on the street and from our guide. But in general, there is nothing to see in Crete, stones are stones. We did not meet hedgehogs in the sea, but the sea did not particularly please us, it was stormy, it was quite cool (as if it were not July) and the wind blew mercilessly on the shore. And the coast is sandy and clean. Our plane was leaving in the evening, but they didn't ask us from the rooms and didn't demand additional payment, very nice people. So, if you are traveling in Crete and are not afraid to walk 10 minutes to the beach, then this is the right hotel and you do not need to overpay for 5 * and all inclusive.

The hotel surprised me! I did not expect at the hotel ** that there would be a split, a refrigerator, and a TV that catches Russian channels. We offered to refund our money. But it turned out that the travel agency would give them money for our accommodation only after two months. This largely explained the attitude towards the guests and the disgusting breakfast in the morning.

So, the hotel is located in one of the cheapest areas of Amoudara called, literally 20 minutes drive from Heraklion airport. The airport is just awful, dirty and terribly uncivilized.

The owner Haris is a good man and speaks excellent Russian, his mother does not speak at all, but in principle she is not obliged, but it is clear from her that she does not love us Russians....or maybe no one except Haris. We immediately asked for a room with air conditioning, he was inspired and gave us room 17 (I advise you to take it), everything worked, the refrigerator did not flow, as in other rooms, there was a TV, a shower without a curtain, really, a toilet, 2 beds, a balcony with a view even to the sea across the road. There are no cockroaches and no rubbish, the water was always hot. The bed was not changed even once in a week, but this is normal for 2 stars. They were cleaned every other day, also quite normal, the garbage was taken out every day. And the mother herself is removed. Pros: sleep there, wash too, air conditioning, TV with 2 Russian channels. Cons: audibility is just n....you can hear how they are talking in the next room, we were afraid to even talk loudly at all. Breakfast, I don't know how anyone can feed this, especially a man. So breakfast: a thin piece of ham (as in a cut), a thin piece of cheese, 2 pieces of white bread, mini jam, mini butter, 1 hard-boiled egg, yuppie juice, tea, coffee. In short, breakfast consists of a sandwich and one egg. FSE! ! Of course, we didn’t see the hotel, we wandered around the island all week, visited an amazing place on the Libyan Sea - Plasias, with an overnight stay, the cleanest sea, just clear water, cafes where everything is much cheaper than in Heraklion, and so we rented an apartment there with a kitchen, fridge, sink.... much nicer and 20 euros cheaper than Australia. So think.

For me it's a normal hotel. for those who want to see Crete, and not a bar with a pool, that's it. the location is very good in my opinion. and not noisy, as in Heraklion itself, and 5-10 minutes to the center. by bus. and from there (from the bus station) you can go wherever your heart desires. Amoudara has a convenient location, 10 minutes to Heraklion by bus, a beach with a good view of the mountains, many taverns with very tasty and not expensive cuisine. About the hotel: the hotel itself has a good location to the beach 5-7 minutes walk, the beach is large, clean. If you want to retire on the beach, it will not be difficult. The hotel is very clean, the room is cleaned every other day, the room has a TV with 2 Russian channels, a wardrobe, a bed, a refrigerator. The windows overlooked the sea, it is very good to wake up in the morning. Breakfast is poor. There were no plumbing issues. I am not a particular fan of sitting in a hotel and finding fault, I only came to the hotel to spend the night. There are so many beautiful places in Crete and no matter what the hotel is (even if it is made of gold and diamonds), waste your time enjoying the nature and history of Crete in vain.
