I still salivate at the memory. Of the excursions offered by the guide, we took only one, to the island of Spinalonga. Very, very beautiful, a fortress, a boat trip to a wild beach with stunningly clear turquoise water, a light snack prepared by the ship's team. . . A lot of impressions!! ! As for the rest of the beauties of Crete, there really is something to see, we rented a car and drove ourselves. We visited almost everywhere: Vai beach, Elafunisi, monasteries, swimming in the Libyan Sea.... If you haven't decided to go yet, be sure to do it, you won't be disappointed!! ! The hotel is quiet, calm, I travel alone and choose small hotels - exactly 50 meters to the sea (and from my building - 30 meters), the beach is sand, the servants are not visible, not heard, cleaned in good faith, everything changed every day. The hotel is only 3 *, but we ate very well in a 4 * star nearby, with drinks at dinner - 3 types of young dry wine and beer. There were a lot of pastries, desserts, just a lot, ice cream, fruits - everything was varied, the main dishes were also not 2-3, but 6-7 different types of meat. In short, in 8 days I could not taste even half of the menu, there was a lot of everything. From Heraklion 15 min. drive - drive everywhere on your own. Everything is very soulful. . I highly recommend a 2-hour train ride to the mountain villages and the monastery - an unforgettable experience for 12 euros. The steam locomotive travels to Amudar at 11 am and 6 pm, parking is 5 minutes. walking towards Heraklion from the hotel. I liked everything! Be sure to go to Santorini - it's like flying to Mars, just fantastic, although not cheap (130 euros). But I didn't regret a single penny! Happy vacation!

They unloaded us at the building with a spiral staircase, and we didn’t immediately understand where the entrance to the reception was, the bus driver actively waved his hand to us indicating the direction, only turning around the corner of the house, we stumbled upon a modest reception. The smiling lady checked us in very quickly. When asked if she had a good view, she nodded her head furiously. Since I have experience in moving from a room I didn’t like to another, I was very strict, but still it was not worth expecting manna from heaven from 3 stars. But. . everything could have been worse. Ascetic rooms, the total area is about 15m2, but it turned out to be in our building, in others there are family rooms with a couple of small rooms and a tiny corridor. Further, a tiny bathroom, with a shower without a curtain, a toilet right next to the shower trough with a crooked seat for the dexterous. Water, when washing, flooded all visible and boundless space, including toilet paper. But, everything was at arm's length, literally. In the room, a surprise so a surprise, a free safe, but not very large, a small laptop did not fit in there, a refrigerator with a freezer and ice molds and air conditioning. Yes, yes, in some hotels air conditioners are either paid, or they simply do not exist. In Armonia Beach, it is free and is! It saved a lot, because 35 gr during the day significantly heated the room in the evening. From our side of the building, the balcony overlooked part of the sea, a couple of unfinished buildings of a certain hotel and a stage platform, we were several times free spectators of rock concerts until 12 at night. There are 3 buildings on the territory of the hotel (there is an error in the description of the hotel), as we noticed, the Russian-speaking population settled in the first two, foreigners settled in the first building from the sea, there are more elegant rooms that can be seen on some sites, but there are too few rooms, and residents much more, so the rest get what they get. As such, there is no garden, there is just a meter-long strip along the buildings, planted with greenery, but at the same time, you can’t even say that it doesn’t exist. Room cleaning is daily. Towels were changed every day. They didn’t really understand the linen, it was clean all the time. Between the 1st and 2nd buildings there is a good swimming pool with a good depth of 3 meters at one end and a pretty paddling pool, fenced off by an elegant railing from the main pool. Residents of the neighboring 4 * San Marino hotel often crowded in our pool. Well, here is a smooth transition to the main point. . Food. . In the hotel itself there is only a paid pool bar (payment only for cash), and the food itself, by agreement, takes place in neighboring San Marino. Hotels are fenced off from each other by a low fence and bushes between which there is a gate. Here, through it, slender ranks cheerfully stomped to the feast. . And that's the way it is!! ! The food is just amazing!! ! Of the 7 evenings and, accordingly, dinners, not one was repeated !! ! Such a variety, and even such a taste and quality! No words! ! It makes no sense to describe, but in addition to food, dinner includes alcoholic drinks, 3 types of wine, red, rose (my favorite) and white, light beer, well, just juices and several types of soda. Of course, fruits, sweets, everything is excellently tasty and yes, ice cream, I’m already swallowing saliva here, because ice cream with rose wine in the garden under mighty trees, through the foliage of which dim lighting breaks through, the aroma of flowers, the sound of cicadas. . At some point, you feel like you are in paradise. . Breakfast is also very appetizing, but not so varied, the menu alternated every other day. But, it did not tire, because the assortment is wide, and you can always find something to your taste. Beach. . A few minutes walk to the sea. The beaches are all municipal, respectively, paid. But, they are somehow geographically related to the hotel next to which they are located. The beach at our hotel caused a slight bewilderment, umbrellas made of the same material that are covered with sun loungers, a fine mesh, which, naturally, lets through all possible ultra and violet rays. Burnt out on the first day. The beach of San Marino is better, the umbrellas are thicker, but there are a lot of people there, our beach, at 3 euros for a stunted deck chair, shone with emptiness. We, on the first day, yes, the company of Germans who remained faithful to these sun loungers until the end of departure, this is all who dared to sunbathe there. There were no more applicants. . Well, what was worth attention was the beach a couple of meters from ours. The beach at the drinking establishment. On the beach there are good umbrellas woven from grass, comfortable tables with holes for cups between the sun loungers, but the cost of lying is exactly what you order in the bar of this beach. The first day we, out of ignorance, were lying around for free, they only approached us to ask if we wanted something, but we didn’t want it at that moment, and then we figured it out and wished the next day. The assortment is not large, but tasty, freshly squeezed juices and iced cocktails, cold iced coffee, cappuccino, glace. You can order food, but we, believe me, did not go hungry. . Payment is also cash only, unfortunately. Also on this beach there were fences from the wind, and the wind from the sea there is very, very significant. The sea is beautiful, but a bit rough. Swimming is interesting, you jump on the waves like a float. Courageous lifeguards walk along the beach, exactly the same as in the "Rescuers of Malibu" and watch that zealous swimmers do not swim behind the buoys. There are a lot of dogs on the beach, domestic, who came with their owners and just live on the beach. This was already depressing, because domestic small dogs sat down on their small business in the same place on the sand. Walking along the coastline towards some factory, we found a lake with fresh water in which a couple of well-fed swans swam, when they saw us, they cheerfully swam in our direction, but we were unprepared and there was nothing to treat them with, but these white guys were not very worried , had a bite of seaweed in the same place at our feet. Yes, there are a lot of animals there. . In addition to the dogs on the beach, in our hotels, yes, I’ll call San Marino also ours, because we ate there, it’s full of skinny, unhealthy-looking cats. . Even at our reception, the girl who met us was literally hugging in the heat of the moment, with dirty kittens crawling there at her feet behind the counter. During breakfasts and dinners, shabby, hungry flocks darted between the tables in search of those who wanted to feed them. Summary. Hotel for 3 * on the first line, with clean rooms and food at 4 * very, very justifies its money. I recommend!
