The hotel was recommended to us by the manager, all our conditions were met. And here we are flying on a charter flight to the island of Crete.
Settlement was immediate. The staff (receptionists, guides, animators, etc. ) is pleasant, almost everyone speaks Russian, with the exception of waiters and maids. All are spoken in English.
The territory of the hotel is quite extensive. Several snow-white buildings flaunt against the blue sky. Two salt water pools and one small one for kids play with the sun's rays. Palm trees are all around, oleanders and geraniums are in bloom, mint and basil are fragrant in clay pots. It is felt that the comfort was created by excellent designers and gardeners.
On the territory there are many free solariums (sunbeds and umbrellas) both by the pools and on the terrace.

There is a normal air conditioner, a refrigerator, a closet with plenty of clothes, a TV with two Russian channels, a toilet and a shower. The room is stylish and comfortable. White walls and blue bedspreads. Accessories: shells, starfish.
Pleased with the restaurant and service. Swedish table is plentiful.
Snacks and salads, fish and seafood, meat (both pork and lamb), poultry. Of course, local flavor: olives and black olives, feta cheese, salad dressings in olive oil. Children's table is also good: chicken, pasta or french fries (and mashed potatoes), boiled carrots and peas. The service is unobtrusive, the waiters clean the plates, keep the tables clean. Free beer, wine (red and white) for men.
The child liked the snack bar, where you can choose and roll yourself four types of ice cream balls. And, of course, eat a piece of watermelon or melon after a dip in the pool.
Adults can order a cocktail and any alcohol for a fee. The bar amazes with a collection of alcohol: crayfish, martinis, anisette ouzu - there is everything....
There is free internet in the lobby bar Wifi : ) and there is an LCD TV, for those whose children are already sleeping, but I want to watch the telly. The Germans were rooting for their own in the lobby and for good reason. The Germans became the World Cup in football.
Minuses:
1. The hotel does not have its own beach. It shares the beach with the neighboring hotel NANA BEACH 5 stars.
2. Umbrellas and sun loungers on the beach are paid.
3. The water is cold, because in this place of the sea underwater springs beat.
4. The pool water is heavily chlorinated. Some children have allergies.
5. The mixer did not work well in the shower. Jammed.
6. Snack bar for everyone. Lots of fat and flour.
7. Soups are thin. The truth is, few people eat soup.
8. The restaurant works strictly according to the schedule. If you went for a walk in a nightclub and returned by 12 at night, no one feeds you and no one pours tea.

The day's ration had deteriorated in the heat. Lunch at the restaurant cost 200 euros. It took the ferry not 1.5 hours to get to the island, as advertised, but two and a half. Departure is early at 5 o'clock, and late arrival is closer to 12.00. But the island itself and the guide caused only delight among young and sporty tourists. Elderly tourists and children are tired.
The most beautiful sunsets and sunrises in the world are on Santorini. But the tourists never saw the sunset on the island, they were already tired sailing back to the hotel.
Let's return to Crete, where the Armida Hotel is located between Stalida and Hersonissos.

And they visited the Greek evening, the artists danced sertake and even depicted something with live fire... And the territory of the Nana Beach hotel itself is just some kind of multi-level botanical garden. Nothing grows there - cacti, agaves, magnolias, acacias. We walked and admired in the evenings.
Yes, most importantly, to feel the resort atmosphere, go to the beach in Stalida through the Horizon Hotel. What kind of villas and chill-outs are there along the way on the shore, what friendly barkers in restaurants... Beauty. And the sandy beach is good (sunbeds and umbrellas are paid) and the sea is darker and clean. The waves are small, the water is clear, there are no algae. We didn’t take sunbeds, because we didn’t sunbathe at all, we swam and went shopping. The beauty!!!
Shops in Stalis are cheaper than in duty free.
Popular souvenirs are ceramics, olive oil, shells, pastries, alcohol, cosmetics. . . But don't get carried away on the plane, you can carry no more than 40 kg of luggage for the whole family. The advantage will be forced to lay out.
One lady from our hotel bought herself a fur coat for 2000 euros. Quality said good. Arranged tax free. She brought the fur coat to Russia without any problems.

Sweets are delicious - and pastries (light airy), and jelly, and ice cream, and oriental sweets ...I am indifferent to sweets, but at the same time I ate something sweet every day : )
Drinks - instant coffee, I couldn't drink it: (Tea in bags - I didn't like black, but green and herbal ones, you can drink) Juices - soluble, but not sour, you can drink. The child's tummy never hurt) There are still carbonated ones - cola and so on.
Alcohol - all incl includes draft beer, draft wine (white, red and rose). Both beer and wine must be poured on your own. They also have their local spirits - raki, brandy and ouzu. You can pour them yourself only in the snack bar (the upper level of the hotel near the second pool). Import alcohol for an additional fee in two bars - on the roof and in the snack bar. The choice is very good.

In the beach cove to the left there are fewer stones, to the right there are a lot of them.
Animation: For adults - gymnastics, water aerobics, tournaments (water polo, tennis, darts, ... ). In the evenings, we didn’t have much animation, because we got just during the Euro 2012 period, everyone watched football) But there was something - Bingo, Casino (roulette, poker), 2 show programs in 2 weeks were, an evening of live music (the animator himself played the guitar and sang, very cool! ) In general, there is animation, not intrusive and it is enough.
But the children's animation is super! For Russian-speaking children Tukan Club. Animators Poli and Maggie - very, very much.
And they went on a hike with the children (we even managed to do it 2 times), and played pirates, and what just happened. Our child is delighted, now misses them. You can write a lot of praise for this club, there is not enough space : )
Activities outside the hotel - 2 cities that you can go to on foot:

But I haven't heard of any. We were warned about this "not included" on the day when the car was already taken.
But we did not pay extra at our own peril and risk, we parked the car in Arminda's parking lot, nothing happened. And yet, when paying for car rental with a VISA card, we were charged 23% tax. We argued for a long time, some of the money was returned.
The rental through which we rented a car in Stalis is Caravel. The cars are not very new, and heavily sealed with their logo (we have not seen this with other distributors). I do not recommend this rental. In the evening, Russian-speaking Pasha sits there, lures everyone, and in the morning, when you take a car, he is no longer there, and the Greek woman tells you in English about all the pitfalls : (

We went on our own to Santorini, with an overnight stay. I booked the hotel on booking, Irini's Villas (I read it in someone's reviews), I liked it very, very much! I want to go back there, but already for 3-4 days, there were very few incomplete 2 days. I can’t imagine how with a 1-day excursion.

Rested here in July, a tour from TUI. I flew quickly, the transfer to the hotel took less than an hour in total, and here I am at the sea. I had a wonderful rest, the hotel is beautiful, compact, all-inclusive meals, breakfast, lunch, dinner in the restaurant. The staff is smiling, the room was cleaned daily in my absence, towels were changed every day, bedding every other day.

Rested here in July, a tour from TUI. I flew quickly, the transfer to the hotel took less than an hour in total, and here I am at the sea. I had a wonderful rest, the hotel is beautiful, compact, all-inclusive meals, breakfast, lunch, dinner in the restaurant. The staff is smiling, the room was cleaned daily in my absence, towels were changed every day, bedding every other day. The sea is wonderful, there is a playground on the beach, the sunset is good, the sand, but there are stones at the bottom, you need to go in carefully. To the sea 100 meters, umbrellas, sun beds for a fee. Good animation for both adults and children. I like it.

It's just a dream, I now understand why everyone recommends relaxing in Greece, everything really is here. Just a great hotel, and no less wonderful beach, literally a hundred meters from the hotel, sandy, the sea is warm, just a fairy tale. There is also a pool bar, I really liked the choice of drinks at prices that are quite sane.

Very good hotel, and the island is just a fairy tale! We rested together with my husband for 10 days. Upon entering the room, they immediately regretted that they had not taken the children with them - the standard family room consisted of 2 rooms! The hotel is located at a small distance from Heronissos, so the area is quiet, on the other hand - 10 minutes walk and you are in Hersonissos or Malia, where there is a lot of entertainment.

Upon entering the room, they immediately regretted that they had not taken the children with them - the standard family room consisted of 2 rooms! The hotel is located at a small distance from Heronissos, so the area is quiet, on the other hand - 10 minutes walk and you are in Hersonissos or Malia, where there is a lot of entertainment. The hotel is democratic, good, unobtrusive animation, good food (3-5 meat options, always seafood, fruits and vegetables in sufficient quantities, beer, 3 types of young wine, tea, coffee, milk and other soft drinks). Russian in the hotel about 1/3. Very good animation for kids with good play area and room. We rented a car for 5 days in Hersonissos (if you rent a car at a hotel or from a guide, it will turn out to be much more expensive). We bought a guidebook, which describes all the Cretan sights, and thanks to the car we traveled up and down the island; as a result, they saved a lot on excursions offered by hotel guides. We will definitely go to Crete again, to the same hotel and with children!

Everything in the hotel is new, the views are simply amazing. Yes, you can just walk here, and even a free bus can take you to Crete a couple of times a week, but you can also pay 2 euros, half an hour of travel, and you are there. The island is magnificent, it is no longer Greece, but also not Italy. And horse riding is something, the places are great, but it's better to book in advance, it will be significantly cheaper.

The location is convenient - a suburb of Hersonissos: a quiet place, but at the same time it is easy to get to the nearest cities (by bus to the center of Hersonissos - 5 minutes, to Malia - 5 minutes, to Stalis on foot 15-20 minutes), bus stop next to the hotel. The animation is amazing, especially for children (the children did not want to leave). Animators from Lithuania Agniya, Erika and Povelas conducted all programs in three languages: Lithuanian, Russian and English. We thank them for their attentive attitude and pleasant pastime to all the guests of the hotel. I’ll give the hotel a “5”, but in general, to be honest, going to a hotel in Crete is blasphemy! There are so many amazing places! You don't have to sit still. Rent a car or take a bus (fortunately there are no problems with buses: the schedule is written at each stop, the ticket price is adequate, the buses are comfortable, the drivers are normal) or take excursions. What an amazing nature there, what mountains and serpentines! Oh, I want to go back!! !

We came to our tour operator VKO, listened to the persuasion of the manager and decided to fly to Greece, to Crete. A very spacious beach, and it’s especially good that we went out of season, as you know it’s quiet there, the soul is resting straight. The rooms are very well decorated, no shuffling Turkish hotels and Anapa hotels). I liked it very much. I recommend.
