We arrived a few days ago. Two adults + a child of 11 years old; took a standard room + extra bed. The room is small, but the child's bed was located directly under the air conditioner - in the end we did not use it. The room was cleaned every day, linen changed every three days. But the corridors are terribly dirty, for all the time they never noticed that they were vacuumed. The kitchen is beyond praise, as is the work of the lobby bar. There is a Russian-speaking staff.
But the hotel guide is rude; she is only concerned with her commissions from the sale of tours and car rentals (prices are space, rentals at the hotel are 30% cheaper). There was a problem with the resettlement of our friends, so she brazenly stated that she was not even going to deal with our issue, and then she didn’t even greet us for 15 days. As a result, the director of the regional representative office directly in Greece solved the problem from Ukraine, there was no guide at all no help. Huge claims against the Join Ap company itself, which sent us. First, the flight from Lviv to Kyiv was postponed, which was reported 2 days before departure, then the flight from Crete to Kyiv was postponed, which was reported the day before departure (who knows, try to find tickets from Kyiv to Lviv the day before departure); planes are terrible. If possible, fly from any other company.
The beach is clean. The fact that there are pipes from the CHPP nearby is aside and there is no smell and smoke. The beach is large, there are never any problems with sunbeds. But the location of the hotel is such that there are almost always waves; for two weeks we didn’t swim twice for half a day because of the high waves, but there is a pool with sea water and it’s very cool.

We rented a car twice and drove around the island. We ourselves went on an excursion to the Palace of Knossos, paid an entrance fee of 6 euros for adults, children free of charge; joined the Russian-speaking excursion on the spot and listened and watched everything they wanted. He left no particular impression. But where you should go is the island of Spinalonga. We drove by car along the autobahn to Elounda (about 80 km), and from there many boats leave (10 euros) - it takes 20 minutes to sail. Everything is perfectly preserved (fortress and buildings), awesome view.
Now, in short, the pros include:
*green area
* swimming pool with sea water
* clean beach, good access to the sea
*excellent cuisine, availability of a / la carte restaurants for free
*beautiful territory of the lobby bar, a large selection of cocktails, excellent service
Cons:
* boorish attitude of the hotel guide
*room for 2 + 1 is absolutely not suitable for a child
* poor cleaning of corridors
*declared diving center, but it really is not; there is only a rental of surfers, catamarans, and you need to go diving separately. who are interested, I can give the coordinates of a diving center with a Russian instructor, who themselves are taken from the hotel.
* a constant wind on the beach, they were saved by sunbathing near the pool or on the lawn under the trees.
*poor Wi-Fi.
