Near the hotel there is a small bay bottom - sand, but not very good, we walked to the left of the hotel for literally five minutes - the gorgeous beach of the Marina Hotel - sunbeds - umbrellas are paid (they didn’t take it. Who collects money for them - didn’t see it). It is very pleasant to walk along the embankment - to the left (go without turning on the asphalt - you will not miss) about 2 km - Crete Aquarium, I liked it very much, especially for children. To the right - everything ends with a small functioning church (about a kilometer to it), of which there are so many in Crete. Along the embankment - car rentals, taverns, not many people. The number of rooms is really not new (they lived in what is called a bungalow in Turkey - No. 410, behind the main building), but nothing fell off, did not flow, especially in the room did not roll around. TV in the room 33 cm, two and a half Russian channels (Planet, Novosti24 and very bad - First). Cleaned almost every day, towels changed three times. At the entrance you need to stick a card hanging on the key - there will be light. One large bed, and for children - two-story at the entrance. In terms of entertainment - the animation team is good, they try, they entertain children, in the evenings there are performances, well, all sorts of bocci, volleyball, darts, water aerobics - according to the program. The guys are great. For vacationers - Germans, British, Russians, Poles, Greeks are few. The hotel is calm, no one yells at night, you can travel with children safely. Everyone is treated equally, I have not seen any discrimination, if you are a normal person, then you will be treated normally. At the reception - a woman Elena, speaks all languages, understands Russian, you can explain yourself and Mr. Stavrakis is such a serious man, he also understands Russian, but worse. Shopping - Gouves is small - one shopping street - but, which is nice, the range of shops is different for everyone - that's why it's interesting. I’ll make a reservation right away: we travel every year, but we haven’t been to Greece yet, and now, due to some circumstances, we were looking for a very budget vacation! And we 100% succeeded! (and the ferry took about 3 hours for the tour, but they were taken from the hotel earlier and brought late, and we left at 9 and even managed to have dinner) Otherwise, everything is worse! Since the hotel is located 20 minutes from the airport, we arrived quickly, we were met at the reception well, settled immediately. We paid for a standard room and were supposed to live across the street in Appolo, but we were settled in the main building in room 148 in a 3-bed room on the 1st floor. By the way, they all understand and speak Russian and will soon speak no worse than we do.

By the way, every Sunday there is a Cretan evening - a chic table is laid, the owner invites dancers and until 24-00 they and vacationers dance folk dances. The spectacle is breathtaking. I was pleasantly surprised by the people themselves and the staff are very polite, tactful, sociable. In the restaurant, the waitresses fussed like bees, served everything quickly, cleaned the dirty dishes, and did not take them away until we gave our consent. I liked the fact that even the most important and the owner himself did not disdain to clean up the dirty dishes. As for the owner - a funny grandfather, he spent the day and night in a hotel.

Across the road there is a bay, 2 sun loungers and an umbrella for 5 euros, there really are never waves, but if you choose between swimming there and another beach that is not far (I didn’t understand which hotel beach it was), then of course it’s better on the other - clear sea, beautiful view and waves. But we also have our advantages on the beach, if you swim where the pier is, then there are stones, a lot of sea urchins and fish.
As for the weather, it is somehow unpredictable. Since this is an island, the breeze is constantly blowing. It seems that you get up there is no sun, clouds, and an hour passes - the sinter is incredible. Therefore, I still advise you to take a jacket, I missed it so much in the evenings.

It would not hurt to replace the telly already, hang some pictures, level the walls, but these are trifles, this, of course, is not at home, but you can live, the main thing is that everything is clean, white linen, white towels, hair dryer, shampoo, soap, gel shower, body lotion. The room had air conditioning and a refrigerator, though empty. Shower by the way is very decent.
NUTRITION
Good, always full. For dinner, there were always eggs or scrambled eggs, bacon or sausages, muesli, lots of vegetables, pancakes or pancakes, croissants, feta. Wow they have soups, a large selection of different delicious breads, there was fish every day and mussels, ice cream was also every day. For a week of rest there was an evening of Italian, Japanese and Cretan cuisine. Of the fruits were: apples, pears, watermelon, apricots, cherries. As for sweets, the soul fell not very much to them, everything is very creamy. As for drinks, there was beer, as for me it is so bitter, similar to Turkish, white, rose, red wine, but everything is dry. From drinks - cola, sprite, soda lemon, yupi very sweet, soda, from alcoholic drinks that were included in the ALL, I kissed gin lemon and san francisco. By the way, every Sunday there is a Cretan evening - a chic table is laid, the owner invites dancers and until 24-00 they and vacationers dance folk dances. The spectacle is breathtaking. I was pleasantly surprised by the people themselves and the staff are very polite, tactful, sociable. In the restaurant, the waitresses fussed like bees, served everything quickly, cleaned the dirty dishes, and did not take them away until we gave our consent. I liked the fact that even the most important and the owner himself did not disdain to clean up the dirty dishes. As for the owner - a funny grandfather, he spent the day and night in a hotel.
HOTEL
the hotel is decent, green and clean area, close to the sea, there are two bars, two swimming pools. Across the road there is a bay, 2 sun loungers and an umbrella for 5 euros, there really are never waves, but if you choose between swimming there and another beach that is not far (I didn’t understand which hotel beach it was), then of course it’s better on the other - clear sea, beautiful view and waves. But we also have our advantages on the beach, if you swim where the pier is, then there are stones, a lot of sea urchins and fish.
As for the weather, it is somehow unpredictable. Since this is an island, the breeze is constantly blowing. It seems that you get up there is no sun, clouds, and an hour passes - the sinter is incredible. Therefore, I still advise you to take a jacket, I missed it so much in the evenings.
The island is certainly beautiful, I would like to travel around it more, but I can’t do it on my own. So if possible, take the car and go. Excursions are expensive, on their own 2 times cheaper. They went around the whole of Heraklion, were in Knossos, Agios Nikolaos, an aquarium.
In general, go and be satisfied. As for us, we will return to Crete more than once.
