I looked on the site and did not see a review about this hotel, so I decided to fill this gap.
We traveled (for years) with my now wife in the fall of 2010.
And so in order.
A trip for two with visas, flights, and accommodation for 7 days cost about 700 euros / two.
Looked at the description of the hotel on tripadvisor. On the site, photos from the hotel and reviews more or less correspond to reality.
The hotel is small and clean. Nothing special, the usual 3 * with a small territory, delicious breakfasts, and light music in the evening. The pool is (5-3m) deep about 2-2.5m and without shallow water. There are sun loungers and benches. There are a lot of flowering plants and greenery on the territory.
For those who are accustomed to comfort, this hotel is not for you. The rooms have a refrigerator, a wardrobe, a bedside table, a table and chairs, no TV, a mattress on a concrete substrate. That is, if you use the hotel only as a place to sleep and stay, the hotel is worthy, but if you want more comfort, you need to look for another one.
Flight-landing all successful, and we are on Greek soil. We were greeted and brought to the hotel without any problems. The time from the airport to the hotel is no more than 20-25 minutes.
Settled without problems in 5 minutes.
Breakfast is edible, there are a lot of fruits for breakfast, don't stay cold.
To the sea about 250-300 m. A leisurely walk is about 5 minutes. The sea nearby for swimming is not very many stones and there are sea urchins.
We rented a car (30-35 euros / day) and traveled all over the eastern part of Crete. Good beaches in the area of Malia, Stalida and Rethymno.
I do not recommend taking excursions - almost everything is nearby. For example - the palace of Knossos - 45 euros + 6 euros for entry (in a travel agency). We rented a car (30 euros for everyone) and drove there ourselves.
We also went to Santorini. If through a travel agency - 120 euros round-trip with a jump to Santorini for about 3-4 hours.
We went ourselves, took a ferry there - 16.5 euros / person. and catamaran back - 48 euros. A car in Santorini is about 30 euros, a hotel -20 euros. I recommend everyone to stay in Santorini for the night and watch the sunset from Oi.
Crete is an island where you can and should see everything for yourself.
Make up your mind.
If you have any questions, I will answer as soon as possible.
