Tell me, do Ouranoupolis offer excursions to Meteora? My husband wants to go to Athos, we booked a hotel there in early October. And I dream of Meteora, but all the reviews are about trips from Kassandra. We go by ourselves, without a tour operator. There will be no car. Is it really possible to get there by public transport or is it a terrible hassle? Approximately how much would it cost (guided tour or public transport)? I would be glad for any hints.
