Near the hotel you can rent cars/quads/bicycles. If this is your first time on the island, I recommend taking a car for the first 5 days - in order to have time to travel around more than half of the island's attractions (do not forget the car navigator with a map of Crete, charging and a suction cup on the glass). You can then quad bike to any of the nearby beaches. It is difficult to find a bicycle with a child seat, and it’s too far to go to the beach, you will be more exhausted. No problems with hot water, it always poured regularly. The prices of the hotel are very pleasing, and you can eat in taverns on the coast, there is very tasty food and a huge variety of dishes! By the way, the food in the center of Heraklion leaves much to be desired, I just got poisoned there, which cannot be said about food in the villages, there are more dishes and cheaper prices! In conclusion, I will write that we were abroad for the first time and we also received a visa for the first time, without outside help on our own.
