We used to rest in the Crimea, now we want to go to Georgia (where the mountains are)
We used to rest in the Crimea (sea and mountains), now we want to go to Georgia, it fits our active holiday pattern very well. Georgia? Regarding the hotel, we are not picky, we only spend the night and have breakfast in it, well, of course, the amenities are more or less worthy (not some kind of bedbug), there are all sorts of benefits of civilization such as: TV, 200 TV channels, sauna, massage for us it doesn’t matter, we are not interested, well, as for the language, is it possible to communicate in Russian there, so as not to be tied to guides and sightseeing routes, we love to get up in the morning, have breakfast, scratch our heads, and gay-gay wherever you like. here is an average rest of days so for 7-10 + flight + food outside the hotel?

Almost everyone speaks Russian. Young people are bad, and people of middle age and above are excellent. The cafe prices are cheap. We were in the winter - skiing, we also cost $ 500 for two without a flight, but this is with ski passes. I won’t say for summer prices, but I think, if not on the coast, then it’s cheaper than in winter.

In September 2013, for six days in Georgia, they spent $400 for two (without air travel). We flew to Batumi for two days, then by night train to Tbilisi, two days in Tbilisi and two days of excursions to Mtskheta and Kakheti. We lived in Batumi in a guest house, in Tbilisi in a hostel (double room) with breakfast. We traveled by train, minibuses and taxis. Breakfast was included in the cost of housing, lunches and dinners in restaurants with wine or beer. Excursions were not ordered, all the information was from the Internet.
The older generation speaks Russian, but sometimes you have to strain to understand, young people smile sweetly and answer in English.
There was a little surprise when we arrived at the hostel in the center of Tbilisi at 6 am, the door was opened by an Iranian boy and could not explain anything either in Russian or in English. Then he woke up his father and everything fell into place.
The cost of air tickets depends on the date of departure. The earlier you book, the cheaper it will be.

Rovno10 thanks for the clarification. I really liked your route, I really want to visit Kakheti and Mtskheta, I looked at a photo from a friend on one of the sites, I really liked it, I love such beautiful places where there is no particular movement and you can get a huge boost of energy and positive. I would like to plan a trip somewhere like this for September-October, although in winter it is probably very beautiful there too. My husband will agree to go not in the midst of the season, because he does not like a large crowd of people, probably this is all because those who work in a large metropolis, so I want to relax where there is more personal space. If you don’t mind, I’ll write to you later in a personal when we decide to go, but it won’t be soon, maybe I’ll write by the end of the summer. Thanks again.

And how much does a flight to Georgia from Ukraine cost? About... :)
аватар Rovno10
The flight Kyiv-Batumi UIA on September 29 was the last one in the summer season of 2013, tickets cost $ 90 per person (more expensive during the season). Return Kutaisi - Donetsk WIZZAir - about $60 per person. We flew to Donetsk, because in the first days of October tickets to Kyiv were twice as expensive. Train ticket Kyiv-Donetsk - $25.
The site za7gorami.ru helped a lot in planning the trip.

from 640 UAH to 3080 UAH from WIZZAir Kyiv Kutaisi

2travel, why such a big difference? 640 UAH is it in the luggage compartment or what? And for 3080 UAH instead of a pilot? :)

It all depends on the date of departure, you can see on the website what more suits you by date. They will fly until November.

question to Rovno10 - did you book hotels on the Internet, if yes - share with whom you booked, pliz
аватар Rovno10
The trip was arranged two weeks before departure. I looked at the information on the cost of tickets both on Momondo UA and on WIZZAir. We decided to buy on Tickets.ua, but there was a problem with a bank card, as a result we bought Kyiv-Batumi at the UIA office on Kharkiv Highway (they sometimes have promotions, as in our case ).
Kutaisi-Donetsk - at the WIZZAir ticket office in Zhuliany.
We planned Kutaisi - Kyiv, while we were driving to Zhulyan for 30 minutes, the prices at the WIZZAir ticket office changed upwards. The WIZZAir representative explained that the fewer free tickets for the flight, the more expensive the ticket.

Sorry, for some reason I thought that you were from Kyiv.
It is cheaper to fly from Dnepropetrovsk via Kharkov-Kutaisi-Kharkov WIZZAir (website wizzair.com).
The earlier you book, the
cheaper.

oper75, I want to tell you that the tourist excursion season in Georgia is just September and beyond.)) And there are a lot of people. And in Mtskheta - the most touristic place in Georgia and in Kakheti in Sighnaghi is full of tourists. By flight: Vizeir is insanely expensive, they closed all of Georgia from Donetsk to Kharkov and did not open Lviv, they left 2 planes from Kyiv. Now a new company, Jan Air, is starting to fly to Tbilisi and Batumi. I know for sure, I talked to them yesterday. I drive groups to Georgia, so I follow all the changes. Look at the site, they promise that it will not be expensive. They told me yesterday that Kyiv-Tbilisi is about $130, and Kyiv-Batumi is $105. We'll see... They start flying soon, in early July. 3 flights to Tbilisi and 2 flights to Batumi. Batumi will be until October 25, Tbilisi is permanent. http://www.yanair.com.ua If I can help answer questions, please ask. I will answer with pleasure, I work as the director of the Georgian tour. company, so I know firsthand)) Now at home in Kyiv, but not for long))
