From Georgia with love, or how we visited the sea and the clouds in a week (part one)
We have been going to Georgia for a long time with friends, but then there was no time, then the children were small, then there were some other excuses. But when we were offered the "Mountains and the Sea - Two in One" tour from Georgia. UA travel, we cast aside all doubts and bought plane tickets. We had free time for a comfortable trip - the beginning of November. And we didn't regret it. Kyiv saw us off with cold and rain. Georgia greeted us with sunshine and warmth, it was +20 in Kutaisi, and this is November. At the airport we were met by our guide Irakli and his comfortable minivan, which was our transport throughout the route. Our first point was Latali - a mountainous village in Svaneti, in which we were booked half a house with all amenities, including the Internet. We were very lucky with the weather, on the next day we had a horse ride planned, and we were not disappointed. Climbing to a height of 2000 m above sea level is something. Then there were gatherings with Georgian toasts and Svan cuisine. Having breathed enough of the high mountain air, we went to the next point of our route - Batumi. The road among the mountains, past the Enguri reservoir was very picturesque. But a surprise was waiting for us on the coast - plus 26. We did not expect this. Our hotel was in the center, near the boulevard, the sea, and all the sights. Having settled down, we went to breathe the sea air. On the next day, we had a trip to the Gonio fortress and, at our request, we dropped in “for a minute” in Turkey, where it is only 15 km from Batumi. Batumi is something so amazing: Primorsky Boulevard, 8 km long, with bike paths and bicycles for rent, dancing fountains with laser shows, fountains, cable car. I know that I will go back there again.
