The most beautiful resort in Georgia - Borjomi
Last year, my husband and I decided to relax in nature, surrounded by mountains. Why not visit Georgia? Since Georgia is usually mountainous, this is a great idea. We decided to choose a resort. After reviewing the photos of the regions, the resort of Borjomi and Svaneti seemed to be the most beautiful. The latter turned out to be far away, from the point of view of the difficulty of getting to this region. The choice was stopped at Borjomi (a week) and Tbilisi for 4 days. How could we have not made a mistake in choosing.
Tbilisi is an incomprehensible city, it seems that there are mountains, but an ordinary densely populated city - no nature and relaxation. Noise is everywhere. Cars drive, traffic jams, exhaust gases. City hotels without territory. Dead houses, a couple of beautiful colorful streets - and that's all, skewed houses, with cracked paint. We did not go for such Georgia : ) True, we took an excursion to Kazbegi - amazing, the Georgian military road is a beauty. We passed Gudauri. You definitely shouldn't go there for vacation. Maybe 30 houses without infrastructure, they didn’t see any shops or cafes. A very beautiful town of Mtskheta is worth a trip. After 4 days in Tbilisi, we moved to Borjomi. This is how Georgia should be: authentic wooden houses immersed in the greenery of the Borjomi Gorge. Waterfalls, mountain river, Georgian cafes with delicious food. We had a week of enjoyment. We settled in Borjomi Palace hotels - an excellent hotel, given that there is no choice. From decent Rixos hotels and another, at a very expensive price and an average version of Borjomi Palace. All the rest are terrible Soviet sanatoriums or rooms in the private sector. The infrastructure is developed - there are shops, cafes, tours. the Bureau. We went on a hike in the Reserve - choose a route (we chose a short one), take a map and go. The indescribable beauty of the forest. We went on excursions to Batumi (who goes to Batumi to relax at sea? Like Crimea in the worst case... a public beach, semi-sovdepiya) Kutaisi (not impressed at all) The ancient city of Uplistsikhe is very beautiful, it’s worth going. We were also in Vardzia, also a very interesting excursion. In general, Georgia is beautiful, but in my opinion the resort of Borjomi is the pearl of Georgia
