I was sooo long ago, maybe someone will write more recent information. There was neither one nor the other. Cabins could be found here and there. Maybe there are more of them now. But as for the toilets, I doubt very much that they set them up during this time.

There are definitely no toilets, only if in cafes / restaurants / clubs on the waterfront or on the Old Boulevard (public paid).
There are showers.
Changing cabins are rare, mostly paid. There are also private beach areas related to restaurants / cafes / clubs, where there are sun loungers and sun loungers, and cabanas are included in the price.

I was in May 2018, how much I walked along the beaches, I saw only showers in places, no toilets, no changing cabins caught my eye. I would recommend taking a hotel right next to the beach so as not to experience inconvenience. There are few such hotels, they are quite expensive, but the head about the comfort on the beach at least will not hurt. We rested in the Colosseum, it is very decent. Well, or every day to visit beach cafes with sunbeds as an option.

We were in September 2018, there are no toilets, but there were showers and changing cabins

There were two toilets (one near the Ferris wheel, and the second from the other side of the embankment and it was boarded up). There are no changing rooms, but there were showers supplied by private traders for 2 GEL, and they could also serve as changing rooms (the price is also 2 GEL). A hotel near the sea ... not an option at all, because anyway you need to get to the hotel through the embankment, the road .... those in a swimsuit, even wrapping up a pareo, go is not an option, you won’t feel very good ... because it’s not like that there walk. In general, how actively they began to do everything and at one moment they stopped investing. And so the unfinished embankment remained, etc. This is about Batumi itself. But we rested in Kvarianti, where guest houses stand right next to the beach and are better equipped there.

You don't have to cross any road from the Colosseum, only the bicycle and pedestrian path. About the same location at the Hilton and Sheraton, as far as I remember.
It’s nice in Kvariati, but there’s nowhere to go out for a walk in the evening, Batumi is more interesting in this regard.

Here I do not agree. We also went to Turkey, to shop and see, to drink coffee (what is not entertainment))). Batumi is actually not far away and we often went there by local minibus or taxi. Yes, and they made the embankment in Kvariati, equipped it with a more intimate atmosphere, in the evening it’s the most to take a walk between the sea and the hotels. The pebbles are smaller, and in general, it’s definitely better for families with children, but in my opinion, it’s unreasonably expensive (for the same money, you can safely go to Turkey much more comfortably). We also went to the mountain (there is a restaurant where the trout swims, they catch it in front of you and cook it for you on the table. This is a different vacation.

ollennka, I don’t remember about the Hilton, but you have to go at least 5 minutes to the Sheraton, for sure. And this is all in the general urban area.

I don’t know how it is on Turkish territory, but I didn’t see a comfortable promenade between Kvariati and the border crossing in 2018. It’s scary to walk along the side of the highway, there are huge trucks, including driving. Batumi has many shortcomings like a resort, but the promenade along the sea is excellent. Although the rest with children, I agree, the priorities are different.

The promenade is not between Kvariati and the border crossing, but between the sea and guest houses. It’s a bit far to walk to the Turkish border, we went by minibus.

We rested in Batumi in the summer of 2019. The beach is central, as the Hilton landmark is slightly to the right of the place where we swam. Locker rooms were free and showers were free. There is no toilet on the beach itself, you need to go out, but not far, nearby, paid. And very large pebbles, you need special shoes. And in a storm, stones hit the legs very painfully.

For me, in Batumi, no matter what cabins and toilets you put on the beach, the price is worthless until the beach itself is made normal. Is it possible to sweep the pebbles smaller or make some kind of pontoons? It's just masochism to go into the sea in Batumi
