Opinion and feedback about what?

Tbilisi-Batumi-Kobuleti. I read questions and reviews about these places. Maybe I'll draw something interesting for myself. We fly - a few days in Tbilisi, a few days in Kobuleti at the end of July. How much time to allocate to the city and the sea is determined for now.

Decide on the spot. The weather in Georgia is not expected. We were in July - it did not make sense to go to the beach before 12 o'clock, maybe clouds in the morning, and sometimes it rained. The waves were sometimes gentle. There is something to see in Tbilisi, but I think a maximum of two days - there is a funicular, there is a cable car to the park, and there, as it turned out, and the residence of the Prime Minister. There is a type of amusement park on the mountain, the Ferris wheel is on a cliff ... :) there is a good restaurant. So climb the city. Kabuletti .... Well, there is only the beach ... I do not remember something interesting in Kabuletti. Batumi has something to see, but in terms of the beach ... Not cozy, without showers and change of clothes, with very large pebbles everywhere. The sea at this time is calm is rare. It was the end of April this year ... I was unpleasantly surprised by the devastation along the whole embankment .... One toilet (near the Ferris wheel) and the other boarded up. Here I often visit those parts and like that impression every year .... Everything is gradually declining.
Delicious food.

This is me in comparison, my husband has been working with Georgians and I have often been there at different times since 2014, the main deployment is in Tbilisi, but I have traveled and bypassed (including climbing mountains) many cities, places and environs. The country is beautiful, with its unsurpassed color and hospitality. This year, after Tbilisi, we lived for a week in kvariati (we were a company of about 20 people) - there was nothing to do in the kvariati itself (it was just that the guest house was right on the seashore, which bribed us to live there), but we visited tourist sites daily and did not very attractions. We even went to Turkey :) have a good trip :)

If there is an opportunity (because we traveled from Tbilisi, the road took more than 3 hours one way) to go to Kazbek. There is a church up there. A very interesting place, and then, going down the mountain, climbing up from the opposite side a little, there is an excellent restaurant-hotel with a view of the mountain. You can also eat there and enjoy the views on the terrace. We just caught the sunset. You can go to Borjomi, well, there are interesting places along the way (churches, gadauri drove and drove by, but it was not yet a season, beautiful lakes passed, and simply amazing views).

Hello, my name is Inna. We are from Russia. Thank you for your answer, the information is quite accessible to me. Gathered on vacation spontaneously and quickly. Did not work with one investment. My daughter is studying in another city and came for the holidays. we decided to treat her with a trip. Tickets were taken for July 28th. from Yekaterinburg to Tbilisi. How many days we are flying, we think more. In Tbilisi, we planned about four days. From there by train to Batumi. They were not going to linger in this city. It’s clear in Kobuleti for five days at sea. And from Batumi home. Here we just think over an approximate route and calculate the costs and days for the trip. I will be grateful to you if you find your time for me to answer. Good day to you.

How can I call you? While we are developing a route, plans are changing. Now we are thinking of visiting Istanbul at the same time. And from Istanbul to fly already home. We were in many Asian countries, but Turkey somehow did not ask for us.

Good afternoon, again. My name is Galina. At the expense of Turkey, in general, from Batumi to the border (Sarpi) there is about 6 km, minibuses are transported, but here's how it's easier to get to Istanbul by land or air - you need to look. In Turkey, a little deeper, there is a shopping center with shops like Vayiki, Cotton, etc. I was very pleased with the prices and assortment. Vaiki in Batumi itself turned out to be more expensive and the assortment was worse. Tbilisi is a beautiful city, especially in the evening, when houses and churches are illuminated. We went to the sulfur baths there :) there are several of them in the center, you can also do a foam massage there, and so on. Of course, Georgian cuisine! It is something. But you need to know the places, because we were in different restaurants (where our husband's partners took us), everything was very tasty and very high quality. And when we went for a walk ourselves and decided to have a bite to eat in a cafe near the glass bridge (Elvis) ... Complete garbage, food of disgust, as a result, agree to a misunderstanding (although my husband knows English well, but the waitress spoke Russian well).

They ordered Georgian khinkali, and they brought out dumplings, and they were absolutely not edible .... a very good restaurant both in terms of prices and quality and in terms of abstanovka-kahetti - there is live Georgian music and excellent wine. It’s a little on the mountain (not the one I wrote about above, it’s on the mountain itself and at the end of their amusement park, it’s big, they also cook very tasty, especially in the Adjarian khachapuri-tam oven). Taxi drivers there know this place, so they calmly caught a car (taxi is cheaper because of the big competition, you can and should bargain), called the restaurant and drove us without any questions. I highly recommend the restaurant and hotel complex on Piazza (I think it's right) restaurant in Batumi, they cook very tasty. It is the largest under the large beige tags, if you look at the clock tower, then on the left. How many ate in different places, but again and again returned to this colorful place. If you have specific questions, write me in person, I will help you as much as I can.

As you were told, the biggest *setup* can be from the weather, it is. Of my 3 weeks, one I didn't go to the beach at all. And it was the beginning of July. For Tbilisi, this is not a problem, but if you are counting on a beach holiday, it is not particularly joyful. Also, if you are renting an apartment, ask in advance about the availability of hygiene and other accessories. When we were in a small hotel, everything was there. But when there was NOTHING in the apartment! No paper, no soap, I'm not talking about shower gel and so on. There were no towels either. I didn’t count on the beach, but for the face, body ... unexpectedly. I had to beg, just beg to bring towels. Since it was very surprising for the hostess that we do not have them. And the morning of the 1st day of rest began with a trip to the store for all this * chemistry *. if not for my cleanser, there would be nothing to even wash my hands with.

And yet, the beach is quite large pebbles. Not everywhere there are sun loungers, and if there are, then they are without a mattress. (at least 3 years ago it was). It cost a sunbed + umbrella about 4 GEL. The exchange rate of 1 dollar is approximately = 23 lari now. As for the Piazza, it’s also true, it’s delicious and pretty. But it's more expensive than other places. From Batumi you can go to the Botanical garden, to the Makhuntseti waterfall, the Adzharian wine house, the Gonio fortress, as well as (as you were told above) to the Sarpi border with Turkey. There is a beautiful road and there is also a small waterfall. In general, the service in Georgia is still lame, but all these nuances are balanced by delicious food! By the way, you can buy spices and stuff in the market.

I made a mistake, 1 dollar = 2.30, that is, 100 dollars is about 230 lari

Galina and Elena, thank you for your answers. I've taken notes from your posts. The tour was finalized. 4 days Tbilisi, 4 days Kabuleti, and from Batumi we get to Istanbul for 4 days. And from there home. Tickets were purchased by ECB-Tbilisi on 07/28/2017 and Istanbul-ECB on 08/11/2017. A guide will meet us in Tbilisi and stay with us all 4 days. For accommodation in Tbilisi, 1 room sq. without TV and washing machine -20 USD per day. Kabuleti room with private facilities in the room 25 dollars per day. We have not yet looked at hotels in Istanbul. Presumably in the Sultanha mate area, according to reviews, they suggest looking. Here are our plans. I understand that the peak season is August and prices.............

We realized that it would take about 20 hours to travel by land. For our busy schedule, this is an unaffordable luxury. Fly on an airplane. We are thinking of buying tickets already on the spot in Batumi, and not through online
