One of the favorites is the Goodwood Hotel on Russel Sq., and - you know - closer to tourist sites. We also have a very interesting program: 3 nights in London, 1 night in Oxford, then another 4 nights in London, and then also Edinburgh. For the first 3 nights, this hotel offers 165 and 225 euros per room (difference in the bathroom). And almost all hotels have the same situation. And so I wanted to save on something ... apparently, we will not save on this :)))
Can you give some advice based on your own experience? Unfortunately or fortunately, my stay in England was always complemented by a good family and that the school was closer :)))) Therefore, it didn’t work out with hotels in this country.

Then we moved to All Seasons Southwark for only a couple of pounds more - earth and sky! Clean, sterile, spacious.
In addition, proximity to attractions in London is also a relative concept - there are sights all around. Look at the hotels on the opposite bank from the Parliament - it is immediately cheaper there with the same quality, and from the same Sitework to the City - just cross the bridge. And the Globe, London Eye and Tate Modern at hand.

Edinburgh is worth visiting even more than London!!! Absolutely magical atmosphere.
We settled in "Kingsway Guest House" - a small private hotel, the owners - a married couple Lizzy and Gary. This is an old house, but after a fresh renovation, with clean good plumbing, comfortable beds, breakfast on your order. Website - www.edinburgh-guesthouse.com, booked through booking.com. To the center by bus 5-7 minutes, on foot - about 20.
If there are only two days (what ma-a-a-lo :)), then I can advise you to buy at the tourist office near Waverley Station "Royal Ticket" for 40 pounds http://www.visitscotland.com/shop/tickets-passes /edinburgh-bus-tours/royal-edinburgh-ticket1/.
It is valid for two days on all four tour bus routes plus entrances to Britannia, Holyrood and Edinburgh Castle. You just have enough program for two days, if you move at a normal pace. There are excellent audio guides in Russian on the yacht and in Holyrood, they are also included in the price. In Edinburgh, Castle was for money and I don’t remember exactly whether he was in Russian. ohh..the Laleli area in Istanbul has a bad reputation. I am not in it. Here in other areas it is always calm and good. but as far as I've heard, there is more criminals in Brazil =) up to the fact that they will rob you to the skin on the beach, and you won't even notice.
The Venice Carnival is not so interesting to me. though definitely worth a visit. Brazil is emotions, burning dances, insanely erotic girls in incredible carnival outfits. photographer's paradise!

So are you still a photographer? I heard about Laleli, because of this I didn’t visit :)) And in general, to be honest, I didn’t like the city. Too many people ... they also cheated in the exchanger: I changed dirhams for lira, converted a couple of times and it turned out three times less. This is such a bitter experience. Do you often visit Istanbul?

I dabble in photography =) I'm not a pro. I adore Istanbul, Laleli is generally a purely commercial-Russian area. and the locals try to bypass him (especially at night). but there are many other places where there are few people, few tourists, you can simply enjoy life yourself. I don't visit Istanbul often - once a year. I try not to get stuck in one place.
