Rooms with shared bathrooms...
Hello!!!
Tell me people, can anyone settled in such rooms, where is a shared bathroom? What is fraught with, except for not quite hygienic environment? First of all, I am interested in how many rooms, as a rule, share this same bathroom with each other. I suffer with the choice of a hotel, because I want both inexpensive and convenient, and so that the location is not too far from the sights. I will be grateful for the answers.

Ah actually the main point you have already voiced - hygiene.
Next - time to get into the shower-toilet. no matter how many people there will be.
we just arrived, then on the spot we paid extra and settled in a normal room. all the same, hygiene + the ability to decide when and how to use the shower.
where do you see hotels?
аватар liya_gremory
One of the favorites is the Goodwood Hotel on Russel Sq., and - you know - closer to tourist sites. We also have a very interesting program: 3 nights in London, 1 night in Oxford, then another 4 nights in London, and then also Edinburgh. For the first 3 nights, this hotel offers 165 and 225 euros per room (difference in the bathroom). And almost all hotels have the same situation. And so I wanted to save on something ... apparently, we will not save on this :)))
Can you give some advice based on your own experience? Unfortunately or fortunately, my stay in England was always complemented by a good family and that the school was closer :)))) Therefore, it didn’t work out with hotels in this country.
Thanks :)

A villa in Phuket for 6 people would be incredible for the money we spend in SC :)

I have not been to England. I speak from experience in Europe. So unfortunately I can't speak English.
maybe later our expert Pachok will write. she has experience in UK

http://deshevihoteli.com/ I also found a link

Oh, thank you very much :)))) Now I’ll start searching, otherwise it seemed to me for a long time that booking is almost yesterday :)
I see that in Europe hotels can be called really deluxe residences compared to these "cheap" London closets. Fortunately, in Edinburgh the situation will be better. A few words about Oxford: there is little choice, the town is small, the prices are unrealistic 0_0 I want to Phuket :)))
аватар Anetka-gan
go to Phuket. surrendered to you this cold damp London??
There was a guy in Edinburgh. there really isn't much choice. Don't buy scarves there. damn rare)))))))
аватар liya_gremory
Tickets are bought, documents are already being translated, the interview is on the nose.... goodbye Phuket, see you in autumn or winter :)
What's wrong with plaid scarves? But what about branded cattle (I mean, Scottish) wool? Poor quality and expensive?
аватар Anetka-gan
Well, I have everything lying around, and, in principle, qualitatively, but the appearance ...... horror! market junk!
аватар liya_gremory
Another plus is that such gifts will not take up precious space in a suitcase :) Thanks for the recommendations. Looking for hotels :)
аватар Anetka-gan
Yes! take up a lot of space! barely finished (picked them up in Denmark)
good luck to you!
then waiting for the trip report!
аватар liya_gremory
Thank you :))) I'll try to write something new and interesting, but it won't happen very soon.
I already refused a hotel with a shared bathroom :))))

right! you are a girl! (as my mother likes to say) =)))))))
"women's health" ahead of everything!

Hello!
I can advise a very good guesthouse in Edinburgh, if necessary, write.
I can advise you to choose chain hotels in London, especially when it comes to budget accommodation. All those cute "small hotels in historical buildings close to attractions" are often cute only in pictures. The last time two lived in one of these at King Cross and cursed everything in the world - cramped, dirty, noisy. And it's only relatively cheap. Then we moved to All Seasons Southwark for only a couple of pounds more - earth and sky! Clean, sterile, spacious.
In addition, proximity to attractions in London is also a relative concept - there are sights all around. Look at the hotels on the opposite bank from the Parliament - it is immediately cheaper there with the same quality, and from the same Sitework to the City - just cross the bridge. And the Globe, London Eye and Tate Modern at hand.
Z.Y. I don’t advise a shared bathroom, in London a lot of riff-raff is wiped off, who can bring what “souvenir” to the shower - only God knows

As for the booking.com website, there are a huge number of offers for London and Edinburgh, many very interesting and, in general, a large selection and good descriptions.
I rarely book on booking, I have other favorite sites, but in England I booked there.

Pachok I was waiting for you here !!))
аватар Pachok
Aha! Good evening! :) Do you guys watch football too?
аватар Anetka-gan
yes =)))))) horror and nightmare! =)))))) holiday for men!!!
аватар Pachok
That is OK.
(Vengeful) Today I received a guide to Brazil as a gift!!! Got me thinking :)
аватар liya_gremory
And I've been waiting for you :)
Good evening!!! My brain boils from these small hotels, and what reviews they write about them. To die is not to get up :) There are rats, there are cockroaches, so breakfast is given out in an hour ...
Thank you for the info. I'll go looking further :) Maybe I'll be distracted by something else :)

About Edinburgh, please, a few words, if you have time :) Is it worth going there at all? Where to settle? What to watch in 2 days?
аватар Pachok
Edinburgh is worth visiting even more than London!!! Absolutely magical atmosphere.
We settled in "Kingsway Guest House" - a small private hotel, the owners - a married couple Lizzy and Gary. This is an old house, but after a fresh renovation, with clean good plumbing, comfortable beds, breakfast on your order. Website - www.edinburgh-guesthouse.com, booked through booking.com. To the center by bus 5-7 minutes, on foot - about 20.
If there are only two days (what ma-a-a-lo :)), then I can advise you to buy at the tourist office near Waverley Station "Royal Ticket" for 40 pounds http://www.visitscotland.com/shop/tickets-passes /edinburgh-bus-tours/royal-edinburgh-ticket1/.
It is valid for two days on all four tour bus routes plus entrances to Britannia, Holyrood and Edinburgh Castle. You just have enough program for two days, if you move at a normal pace. There are excellent audio guides in Russian on the yacht and in Holyrood, they are also included in the price. In Edinburgh, Castle was for money and I don’t remember exactly whether he was in Russian. With such a program, you will have a little time left for pubs that are simply a must-see! :) Harry will give you a piece of paper with recommended addresses.)

Slow down, I'm writing :)))))
I'm ready to kiss you now, it's so nice when people help. I'm off to check out the site :)

how I want to go to brazil for carnival!!! idiot's dream!!!!!
аватар liya_gremory
Yes, there are still unexplored places :) Have you looked at the tickets? What is transportation today?
аватар Anetka-gan
to Brazil? I've looked before, but I don't remember the prices. but it doesn't come cheap. plus if you get to the carnival, then entrance tickets seem to be from 100 per day. well, Brazil is not very safe, you need to go there with a man. here you have to persuade =))
аватар liya_gremory
Yes, right there. I heard that there is a problem with crime. But I don’t think it’s worse there than in the narrow streets in Istanbul near the market :)))) I think you will understand me :)
Maybe it's better for the Venice Carnival?
аватар Anetka-gan
ohh..the Laleli area in Istanbul has a bad reputation. I am not in it. Here in other areas it is always calm and good. but as far as I've heard, there is more criminals in Brazil =) up to the fact that they will rob you to the skin on the beach, and you won't even notice.
The Venice Carnival is not so interesting to me. though definitely worth a visit. Brazil is emotions, burning dances, insanely erotic girls in incredible carnival outfits. photographer's paradise!
аватар liya_gremory
So are you still a photographer? I heard about Laleli, because of this I didn’t visit :)) And in general, to be honest, I didn’t like the city. Too many people ... they also cheated in the exchanger: I changed dirhams for lira, converted a couple of times and it turned out three times less. This is such a bitter experience. Do you often visit Istanbul?
P.S. This is not an interrogation :))) Just interesting :)) And it all started with rooms with shared bathrooms :)))
аватар Anetka-gan
I dabble in photography =) I'm not a pro. I adore Istanbul, Laleli is generally a purely commercial-Russian area. and the locals try to bypass him (especially at night). but there are many other places where there are few people, few tourists, you can simply enjoy life yourself. I don't visit Istanbul often - once a year. I try not to get stuck in one place.
