The first time was in Greece. The island of Kerkyra (Corfu) is very green and has amazing beaches. This is not a typical Greek island - the influence of the Venetian culture is very felt, so sometimes it may seem that you are in Italy.
Upon arrival, the husband was sent for a free test (selectively one from a couple was chosen).
It takes 15 minutes to get to the hotel.
We arrived in the evening, put on bracelets and immediately sent for dinner - after that we were registered.
Our room was in the main building on the second floor. It also houses the reception and the restaurant.
1. Number.
We had the Blue & Green Promo Room: a regular standard room. Air conditioning, TV for free. Wardrobe, bed, table, bedside tables, table and chairs on the balcony, hair dryer in the bathroom (not used). The only negative is that when you wash in the shower, the water rises from the sewer compartment, as a result of which a small "flood" remains on the floor in the bathroom, but tolerable - water did not get into the room.
2. Nutrition.
Three times a day: from 7:30 to 9:30 (or 10:00), 13:00 - 15:00 and 19:00 - 21:00.
There is a lot of food, everyone will find something to their taste - they ate well. But without any frills - who is waiting for seafood in the mountains, you are not here. There was a fish almost every day and once rice with seafood.
There was soup, pies every day different from puff pastry, steamed vegetables (baby carrots, broccoli, peas, cauliflower, asparagus), meat in various forms (there were roasts and chicken legs) or sausages, french fries, nuggets, a few types of rice and pasta, Greek traditional dishes, salads and freshly cut vegetables and much more. For breakfast jams, dry breakfasts, toast, cheese, sausage, etc.
From fruits melon, watermelon, apples, oranges. Several types of desserts and ice cream.
The main restaurant has a bar (beer, red and white wine, water, etc. )
The pool bar is open until 22:00, next to it is a snack bar (nuggets, hot dogs, etc. )
3. Sea.
The sea is beautiful, the beaches around the island are magnificent and the shades of blue-green water are just wow.
There are two options on the spot, which one you like.
One rocky beach - St. Nicholas beach: go down to the main road and go right, turn left and all the time straight along the main road. There is also a small church there. This beach is my husband's favorite.
Another beach is sandy, awarded with a blue flag: after descending onto the main road, turn left and go straight past cafes and shops, pass the gas station, cross the road and turn right in front of the tennis courts and the hotel. Passing by the diving center - mission accomplished. You can also lie on your own towels, and if you walk further along the embankment, you can rent a sunbed and dine in a variety of taverns.
4. Excursions.
We took two excursions: a sightseeing tour of the island (50 euros / person) and on a ship to the neighboring islands of Paxos and Antipaxos (40 euros / person). I liked the second one more, but the first one is also nothing if you do not rent a car.
There are currently no excursions to Albania and Italy due to the coronavirus.
In general, we liked the rest - after all, first of all, it all depends on the mood.
