We stayed at this hotel from April 26 to May 5.2013. The hotel turned out to be very decent. It consists of the old building (high-rise) and the new (low). Between the buildings there are two pools on two levels. There are always free sun loungers around the pool, and a pull bar is open in the pool itself. We stayed at this hotel from April 26 to May 5.2013. The hotel turned out to be very decent. It consists of the old building (high-rise) and the new (low). Between the buildings there are two pools on two levels. There are always free sun loungers around the pool, and a pull bar is open in the pool itself. Officially the pool closes at 19-30, but you swam at night, no one told us anything. Breakfast, although monotonous, but the choice of dishes is good, so you will not go hungry. Rooms are cleaned every day, there is one Russian-language Phuket TV channel, which is quite interesting. From the balcony of the room offers a wonderful view of Patong. We lived on the 9th floor. You could see the sea and mountains. On the second floor there is free wi-fi, the speed is quite decent.
The location of the hotel is very good, everything is within walking distance. Walk to the sea no more than 10 minutes. To Bangla road - 5 minutes, Jungleceylon is also nearby. There are many cafes, massage parlors and other entertainment around. Despite the fact that there is a gay street next to the hotel, and in the evenings music played loudly there, when the balcony is closed, it is completely inaudible.
In general, this hotel is suitable, in my opinion, for any kind of tourists. In terms of price-quality ratio - perfect.

However, on the balconies of the end rooms, the wind is felt stronger than on ordinary ones, and if the wind is strong, you can hear its howls and the rattling of glasses. In the end rooms, two walls of the room are completely glass, which offers a panoramic view of Patong. The hotel rooms are relatively large, the floor is pleasantly tiled in the form of parquet boards, the walls are painted. The furniture is not new, but not old either, there is no overhead lighting. there is a floor lamp, two bedside lamps, a lamp on the table, lighting in the corridor, lighting in the mini-bar, lighting in the closet. The room has a free mini-safe, tea accessories, an umbrella. Water (2 bottles), 2 tea bags and coffee with cream, shampoo, bath foam, body lotion, caps, razors, toothbrushes with paste are replenished every day. Beach towels are taken near the pool on an appointment, and according to their rules, they must be returned on the same day (which is very inconvenient), as the employee makes a note. We often handed over towels with a two-day delay, we talked about this to the towel collector, and despite the terrible stories of the hotel guide, the Thais did not regard our towels as lost and did not deduct the cost of towels from the deposit. In Patong, I recommend the sea from a lot to the right of Bangla Road (if you face the sea), there is a toilet (5 baht) and a shower (20 baht) near the beach, the sea is much cleaner there. I also recommend Tri Trang beach in Patong (located at the left end of Patong Bay, if you face the sea) - it is a bay - a secluded beach, shallow water, warmer water (relevant in November), white sand, shade from trees. Entrance to the beach and renting a sunbed is 100 baht, but nearby (on the right side of the beach, if you are facing the sea) there is a beach of the Tri Trang hotel, where, according to friends, you can disguise yourself as residents of this hotel and lie on their beach for free even on sunbeds (not really tried). But the beach is really good, a very big plus is the shade from the trees (good in the heat). You can eat inexpensively (300 baht for two) in Patong in jungle ceylon in the basement in the food court (a collection of cafes) - at the cashier at the entrance you put money on the card that you pay when buying dishes, the cashier returns the rest of the money.

Were in this hotel last winter (2008). Now I decided to read the reviews. I can't even believe how bad things got. Everything seemed to be super - both food and staff, animation - class, drinks - heaps (8 different alcoholic drinks). The rooms are not great but clean. Although everyone says that if in Turkey it is 3 *, then in Egypt it is the same - 4 *, we doubt it.

Although everyone says that if in Turkey it is 3 *, then in Egypt it is the same - 4 *, we doubt it. Recently arrived from Turkey, were in 3 + *, and decided that it was much better in Royal. . .
