We rested in Crete in early September at the Elia apartments hotel for 10 days. We were met at the airport and quickly taken to the hotels. Our hotel is only 20 km from the airport, so we arrived quickly in 20 minutes, and the best thing is that we did not collect a bunch of hotels. At the bus stop, we were met by a hotel guide and escorted to the hotel, where he helped with resettlement.

A very large hotel area, two swimming pools, for children and adults, a restaurant, several buildings, and all this is surrounded by a large number of olive trees and shrubs. The sea can be seen directly from the balcony, we were settled in room 202. The rooms are not chic, but everything you need is there, it completely pulls for 2 stars.
Nearby there are enough shops where you can buy a snack, but it takes about 10 minutes to get to normal supermarkets by public transport, which, by the way, runs quite often.
You can get to Hersonissos, this is a lively town with a lot of shops, restaurants, hotels and good beaches, so we advise you to definitely go there.
Breakfast from 8 to 10, hearty food, buffet, but without a lot of variety: porridge, tea, coffee, milk, cheeses, sausage, croissants, cake, etc. Dinner from 18.30 to 20.30 and the menu is different every day: meat, fish, side dishes, salads, everything is present, but nothing more is needed, after all, do not forget that this is an apartment.
From the hotel to the beach on foot 10 minutes through the village of Analipsi, where along the way you can meet a couple of restaurants and shops, as well as local residents going about their business. Super, quiet, great place, if you want to relax with children, go to Analipsi. The hotel fully justifies its money, for a relaxing holiday - a great place.

We set out on a trip around the island in early August and stayed at the budget Elia Apartments. Upon arrival, we were immediately met by the hotel guide Ivan, who took us from the bus stop to the hotel itself, which was very pleasant and caring of him. Although the apartments are inexpensive, the territory, as it turned out, is very large and beautiful. Snow-white individual houses in the Greek style and buildings - all this is surrounded by olive groves, trees and flowers, a lot of greenery around, which, of course, pleases the eye.
The hotel also has its own two swimming pools (one for children and the other for more), a restaurant with a buffet concept, a small play area for children. The food in the restaurant is not similar to the hotel, everything is very tasty at home. Administrator Lyudmila hospitably welcomes everyone, she settles and welcomes at breakfast and dinner.
The rooms are clean, the cleaning is done carefully, there were at first problems with plumbing, but they were quickly and promptly eliminated.
Naturally, we didn’t sit in the room all the rest, we walked a lot around the resort village of Analipsi, went to the nearest city of Hersonissos in the evenings, and on a boat trip to the Blue Lagoon. The Aegean Sea impresses with its incredible color and transparency of the water. The holiday flew by unnoticed and left the best memories!

Lyudmila was waiting for us there. She spoke Russian, which was very nice. Lyudmila can always be found at the bar, as she is also in charge of the kitchen. Or we wrote to the hotel guide and he decided everything. The hotel has several buildings, we were settled in a new one.
Spacious room, there were several balconies, there was even a clothes dryer. From the window there was a beautiful view of the mountains and the olive grove. To be honest, it's amazing how many olives there are. There seems to be some kind of reserve of these trees nearby. Very beautiful and green, but cicadas live in these olives. Which make very loud noises all day long. At night they are replaced by crickets.
The hotel is far from the sea, walk about 15 minutes on asphalt. There are many shops and cafes along the way. We went either to Orange or Sims. They have delicious cold coffee.
It's called Fredo espresso/cappuccino and costs 1.80 euros. The beaches are long, prices are 6 euros for two sunbeds and umbrellas. We rested in July and our whole holiday was blown by a crazy wind. The waves were constant, it was difficult to swim. Therefore, we went on sea excursions. Chrissi, Spigalonga, Blue Lagoon, once rolled into the Aquapark.
Also pleased with the children's pool and pool for adults. Big, comfortable, clean.
The food in the hotel itself was very tasty. The choice is small, of desserts only watermelon, but it's good that everything is always fresh and homemade. The hotel works only on the basis of breakfast and dinner, so we went to lunch in cafes, of which there are a lot nearby.
It is convenient that the hotel is right next to the bus stop where municipal buses run. We traveled independently to Heraklion and Hersoeisos. 1.80 per person. Only the bus wait a long time, and so we liked it.
During our entire stay, I did not see a single cockroach or any bug.
But there were many kittens, from which my children were delighted.
In general, the hotel can be recommended as an economy hotel for a quiet and family vacation. Many took cars, a whole car park was organized near the hotel, and they drove in different directions and to the beach. The youth would be bored here. Homemade food, no frills, far from the beach, no animation. But for couples with children, like us, it was perfect.

I was a little upset because the tour was already paid for and all other options were much more expensive. I did not expect anything from this hotel and was preparing for the worst, but I was pleasantly surprised.
One of the clear advantages of the hotel is its proximity to the airport. We drove only 20 minutes and did not get tired of the road. A little noisy due to low-flying aircraft, but it looks cool, the noise is tolerable, you get used to it quickly. Also the hotel is located 20-30 meters from the bus stop. It was convenient to ride in neighboring villages. I strongly advise, by the way, to go to Hersonissos. There are a lot of cafes, shops, bars and clubs. The fare is about 1.80 euros. There is also a very cool Sims coffee shop next to the hotel. The coffee and orange juice are amazing, the coffee is around a euro, there is a discount on water when you buy anything.
The hotel area is clean, spacious, with a beautiful pool, enough sunbeds and umbrellas. Everything is very green, a lot of olive bushes, which corresponds to the name of the hotel (Elia from the Greek olive).
The rooms are spacious, there is a wonderful kitchenette, air conditioning, a refrigerator, all necessary utensils, regular cleaning, there were no complaints. We had 3 balconies (in one room, the other and in the kitchen). There is a terrace with a clothes dryer. Views of the mountains, the sea and the olive grove.
Meals are half board only. Breakfasts are simple. Fried eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes, muesli, sweet bread, regular bread, cheese, sausage, delicious white cheese, olives, pie, yogurt. Coffee, tea, juice. More choice for dinner. Everything is always delicious, homemade. There were always salads, potatoes, various types of meat, rarely only fish. Tables under a canopy, in the fresh air. There was always nice music from the local radio playing. Ludmila, the woman from the reception and the restaurant, is just wonderful, she speaks Russian. The staff is generally very good. Special thanks to our hotel guide Anton, a very polite, understanding guy, he helped with everything, was available even at 6 in the morning (we went to Santorini from him and lost our bus, he solved the problem very quickly, there was no dissatisfaction with the early call in the same tone). Generally satisfied with them one hundred percent!
One of the small minuses is that the hotel is very far from the beach. 10 minutes walk at an average pace. The beaches are all very good, there are many breakwaters, small bays, it will be important for children, the beaches are sandy. The entry is often rocky, so it's best to bring swimming slippers. The coastline is very long, the beach is free, but sunbeds and umbrellas are everywhere for an additional fee. From 5-6 euros per set (2 sun loungers and an umbrella). There are many shops and cafes near the beaches. I liked the cafe Vasilakis, a very beautiful design, made in white and blue colors, beautiful wicker swing chairs. Just Santorini in miniature.

The apartments have many advantages. They are located very close to the bus stop, it was convenient to travel to neighboring villages, there is a very cool Sims cafe nearby, where you can buy fredo coffee for 1.80, orange fresh for 2 euros (prices are pleasant by Greek standards), take sweets or sandwiches. There are many taverns, cafes, shops nearby, you need to walk a little to the beach, we walked in 10 minutes. Beach - choose any. The coastline is very long, there are wild beaches, and sandy, and with a stone entrance, and with a sandy bottom. But it is better to take swimming slippers with you. There may be stones in the sea. A set (2 sun loungers and an umbrella) costs an average of 6 euros. The sea was not as warm as we wanted, but we swam.
As for the hotel. Very cozy, I would say family-friendly. The territory is large, green, olive bushes are everywhere, which looks very beautiful and atmospheric, in Cretan style. There are two swimming pools with fresh water, one of them is for children. Once a week there is a Greek evening. It was pretty fun. But, of course, the Cretan evening, bought from our hotel guide, cannot be compared with the trip - heaven and earth. The food was very delicious. I can’t say that the food was exquisite, but everything is always fresh, tasty, homemade. Reminds me a bit of spa food. A lot of stewed, boiled, steamed. Children will be very helpful. There have always been fruits and vegetables. You could buy delicious wine in the restaurant. The rooms are bright, spacious, there is a kitchenette and all necessary utensils. The balcony offers a beautiful view of the olive grove, mountains, sea. Wi-Fi was excellent everywhere, including in the room. Cleaned often, the hotel was always clean. The hotel is quiet and the soundproofing is good. Ideal for a relaxing holiday. On the territory of the hotel there is a miniature church, which adds color to this place.
Of course, sitting in the room and on the beach all the time would be boring, and we took excursions from our hotel guide. Let's go to the children's play. The son was delighted. First we visited the aquarium, where there were fish, turtles and even sharks. Then visit the dinosaurs. I was bored, but my husband and son were wildly delighted. There was a foundry at the end, I also really liked it. Then we went to the Cave of Zeus. I was impressed by the color, high mountains, the Golden Gate and, of course, the cave itself. It is very old and beautiful. The child liked the small farm in the village where we had lunch. At the end of the tour, my son made a clay pot with his own hands, which we proudly took home. And that's all in one tour. We also rented a car for a couple of days from a hotel guide and traveled around Crete on our own. He is beautiful.
I recommend the hotel and be sure to visit this island at least once, we will definitely come back here again.

air conditioning for a fee
there is no cleaning service in the room. they say every 4 days, on the FIFTH . . after this cleaning. the collected dirt - the sand we had the day before - remained lying - you still take the mop yourself and sweep the weight of the sand. Just take out the trash and that's it. . .
dirty towels - changed to dirty....and also every 4 days, but then - you have to humiliate yourself, ask, demand.
The room overlooking the road is a nightmare. forget about sleep.
Food:
breakfast - porridge is rare, normal food is rare. There will always be milk (diluted) with cereal and a sandwich with margarine.
Dinner - chicken every other day. . . there are fish. On day 5, everything will be boring. Fruit - watermelon pear.
You can't collect water in your own container. ALTHOUGH!! ! NEXT to the hotel there is a faucet (source) from where the locals draw water, and I don’t think that the hostess buys it, because. . . why, if eats nearby for free. (went themselves from the faucet recruited).
Bottom line: a choice of 2 dishes and carcass vegetables, pick your own salad or yesterday’s potatoes in mayonnaise from dinner . .
Entertainment :
old billiard table 2 euros (?!??! ) for which it is not clear . .
wifi - only for messengers no more
Sea:
to the sea 15-20 minutes. it seems to be garbage, but every day is lazy... because a pleasant beach without stones and a sandy bottom - 30 minutes on foot.
I don't give stars. well 1. no more.
Advice - no. All that you save when booking - spend many times on the spot...

Right next to the beach there are taverns and a shop where you can buy ice cream drinks. You can also sit on your own towel. On the beach there are watering cans where you can rinse. There are large stones in the sea, but ma found where the sandy bottom is.
About the hotel, a rather large territory is surrounded by greenery. There is a pool and sunbeds.
Many thanks to Lyudmila, who, on the last day when the room had to be vacated, offered a smaller room next to it so that we could relax and wash and get together, also kindly offered to have dinner. We left the hotel at 21:00. We were satisfied.
Of the minuses, it's a bit far from the sea, especially with small children. For us, there were no inconveniences after breakfast, walking to the sea for 15 minutes, on the way to observe olive groves and how the Greeks live.

The hotel turned out to be very nice, we were immediately settled and fed deliciously in the restaurant. We had a room for three, quite spacious, which included one double bed and one children's bed, a bathroom with a shower. Moreover, the room had a kitchenette, given that the hotel has a half board system, this is a very good decision on the part of the owners. We lived on the third floor, from where a gorgeous view of the sea and the island of Diaz opened.
I would like to mention the work of the cleaning lady Nika, who keeps the hotel in perfect order, and the receptionist Lyudmila, who took into account any of our wishes. We were very pleased with the hotel and the staff.
Now I want to tell you a little about the village itself. Analipsi is a very small village with a couple of souvenir shops and a couple of restaurants. Therefore, we decided to visit the whole vacation to explore Crete, took three excursions from the hotel guide: Unexplored Crete, Spinalonga, and the palm forest of Vai. I liked it very much! Competently compiled route, licensed guides, comfortable bus with air conditioning and wi-fi. The island of Crete itself is stunningly beautiful, someday we will definitely come back here again.

We settled right away, we didn’t have to wait, they settled with a view of the sea, and the olive grove, and we could enjoy the beautiful sunsets throughout the rest. The room is not bad, in good condition, the necessary furniture is available, a small living room with a kitchen + a bedroom with two single beds, there is also everything you need for cooking (dishes, pots, etc. )
I liked that there is a swimming pool on the territory, during the whole rest in the evenings we gathered with other guests, sang along with the guitar and danced. Very atmospheric. Wi-fi is free and catches on the territory of the entire hotel, however, you had to pay extra for air conditioning, but the amount is insignificant - only 7 euros.
There is nothing much to do in the village itself, so we rented a car from a hotel guide for a few days and drove around the island on our own, driving into various bays, wild beaches, Crete is different and beautiful in any part of it. And, of course, we went on an excursion with a guide once, I recommend the island of Spinalonga and the city of Agios Nikolaos to everyone. Stunning landscapes, and the history of the island is very tragic and impressive. We will definitely come back here, but probably already in the western part of the island, there are still many unexplored places.

We rested in Elia apartments with my husband and children for 2 weeks in the month of July. The road from the airport to the hotel took about 20 minutes, very convenient, especially if you go to Vacation with children. The hotel area is small, but well-groomed and green due to olive trees and shrubs. There are 2 fresh water pools, one large with different depth levels, and the second small "paddling pool" for children.

I really enjoyed splashing in the pool.
They settled us in the room immediately upon arrival, which they were extremely happy about, a flight with two
fidgets turned out to be heavy. Lived on the 3rd floor, view of the sea and the island of Dia
stunning. The room is quite spacious, neat and most importantly clean. Everything
necessary for living in the room is, and functioned properly, kitchen
corner equipped, cooking utensils are also available.
Internet throughout the hotel is free, but in some parts of the hotel there is a signal
quite weak.
Meals at the hotel include breakfast and dinner. There is not a wide variety of food here.
but all the food is delicious. More often cooked on their own, next to the hotel there
stores where they bought groceries.
To the sea on foot about 15 minutes, far away. The beach is long, mostly beach
sandy, sometimes there are areas with a stone entry into the sea. Equipped in
on average, two sun loungers and an umbrella cost about 10 euros. On the waterfront there is a huge
the number of taverns and restaurants where you can eat deliciously like Mediterranean
dishes, as well as traditional Greek or even Cretan dishes.
The village of Analipsi is quiet and calm, mainly for families, we
The kids loved it and will be back again. And the apartments are good for budget
recreation.
