After looking at different sites and reviews, we decided to stop at the variant of the Edelweiss boarding house in Koktebel. We arrived in Simferopol at night, the taxi driver from the boarding house met us and at 3 am we were already safely settled in our room. In principle, the boarding house suited our needs quite well. The cooks cook really tasty, they ate breakfasts, lunches, but somehow it didn’t always work out with dinners, as they came from the embankment late. The room is spacious, clean, everything (TV, refrigerator, plumbing) worked flawlessly. The territory is large, you can sit under a large canopy entwined with girlish grapes, in the coolness, kebabs were fried in the fireplace a couple of times. The territory offers a panoramic view of the Koktebel Bay and Karadag. I think that this boarding house is quite suitable for both family and youth recreation.

The boarding house is a very friendly hostess, she placed us in a cozy double room, from the balcony - a wonderful view of Karadag and part of the sea is visible. The territory is well-groomed, there are many roses and other flowers. There were few vacationers in the boarding house - I think, most likely, that the season had not yet come, but nevertheless the cafe worked for them, the cook prepared food according to our pre-ordered food - soups, salads, roasts - quite tasty. I really liked the trips from the boarding house - their guide has his own routes, different from those offered on the embankment and quite inexpensive, and you don’t have to go far. An interesting excursion "Crimean Venice" - with roasting vegetables on a fire, songs with a guitar, and the beauty of the places is simply incomparable! We are pleased that we visited this boarding house, and went on the excursions offered to us - we rested with all our hearts. Probably, this year I will not be able to take another vacation, but next year we will definitely come here!

Far enough from the sea, the house is located in the very last line of new buildings, the taxi driver did not even understand what kind of street we call. When we asked if there was street lighting, since we would be returning late after the concert, the hostess replied - it's a full moon, why do you need lighting ? ! The cleanliness of the hotel is very relative, for 4 days there was never a cleaning.

The cleanliness of the hotel is very relative, for 4 days there was never a cleaning. It was disgusting to go into the shower, there was a black fungus around the perimeter. In the bed, just after driving in, they found a lot of other people's long hair, as if the bed had not changed at all. The hostess strongly recommended us to eat in a cafe at the hotel, arguing that you can get poisoned in a cafe by the sea, but observing the "cleanliness" in the room, we still preferred to eat outside the hotel. I understand that you should not expect something supernatural from Crimea for 400 UAH per day, but cleanliness is the first thing that should be in a hotel of any category !! !

Big room, good furniture, everything is clean. Cleaning and change of linen were carried out regularly. From the balcony, windows and from the territory you can see the sea and Karadag. Of course, 900 meters to the beach, and the sea, respectively, does not splash under the window. But, in advance on the Internet, studying the offers of other hotels, for comparison, the cost of a room in a hotel of a similar level near the sea is 3-4 times more expensive. At the same time, a 10-15-minute walk was quite suitable for maintaining tone. As a minus - the lack of the Internet - from time to time such a need arose. On the plus side, delicious food and friendly staff. There is a brazier on the territory, on which we grilled kebabs. Well, the owners also came up with a children's inflatable trampoline - our son "came off" on it to the fullest - we are now thinking of buying something similar for our private house.
