I'll tell you how I managed to relax in the Koktebel Literary Fund. It is difficult to call 5 days at sea in nasty weather a full-fledged summer vacation, but as it turned out, even these 5 days, if desired, can be filled with meaning and new impressions.
We rested in Koktebel with a friend, to whom I came for the anniversary. The room, which was given to us by the hospitable hostess Svetlana, was designed for one guest, but we are unpretentious girls (as it turned out) and calmly divided it into two, especially since the cost of living was as pleasant as her hospitable hostess - 300 UAH / night. The room is small, but if you wish, you can absolutely calmly not interfere with each other. The room has two single beds (which turn into one double bed with a flick of the wrist), a wardrobe, a bedside table, a small TV, a mirror, a refrigerator, and an air conditioner. There is also a kettle and crockery. All appliances are in working order. If you wish, you can iron your things on the ground floor, and also ask the hostess for a hairdryer. The bathroom has hot water around the clock, the pressure is good both day and night. The balcony is small, like everything in this room. It has two chairs, a table and a clothes dryer. The view from the balcony is the most common, except for the outlines of Mount Kara Dag visible in the distance. Towels and clean bed linen will be provided upon check-in. True, they were not changed to us even once during our stay, and the room was also cleaned not with the frequency that was announced upon check-in. It should also be taken into account that according to local traditions, hotel guests themselves throw out the garbage. It did not bother us, and we diligently put new bags into the wastebasket. The territory of the hotel is very small, if not tiny. In the courtyard there is a summer kitchen with a full range of all kinds of kitchen utensils for those who like to cook on vacation. For them - a summer gazebo for eating and just gatherings. A couple of benches for relaxing, flower beds... and perhaps that's it. And it seems to me that it is this small space, and perhaps the fact that the three-story hotel building is surrounded by a high blank fence, that creates a special cozy, almost family atmosphere of relaxation and complete privacy.
It is worth noting the good location of the hotel. The promised 150 meters to the beach can be walked at a leisurely pace in 5 minutes, while the road here goes through the park, which is lit by lanterns even at night. Nearby is a bus station, a small market, shops and the cafe "Bistro", which we have already fallen in love with. Very simple, with plastic furniture and a stretched awning over a summer playground, we liked it with a friendly attitude, fast service, delicious simple food and very reasonable prices. Judge for yourself: scrambled eggs-omelets-pancakes - from 12-18 UAH, dumplings - 16-19 UAH, soups-9-15 UAH, meat and fish dishes - 32-48 UAH. and everything else along the same lines. If you walk further along the embankment, then you can, for example, pay 12 UAH for ice cream, 34 UAH for coffee with cognac, delicious puffs will cost you 7-9 UAH, and you will have to pay 30 UAH for entering a nightclub. Prices are generally Crimean, except for the "star" South Coast.
A separate word should be said about excursions. If you are not a fan of "mattress" rest, or, like us, fell under the disgrace of nature and watch the raging elements, wrapped in a warm blanket with a glass of "the same colonel", be sure to take a couple of excursions. In Koktebel they are standard, as elsewhere in the Crimea. Perhaps it is worth highlighting a boat trip to the Golden Gate (100 UAH / hour), and a horseback ride (120 UAH / hour) along the tropics along the bay, where you will see the whole of Koktebel at a glance. And we ourselves went to Sudak (15 hryvnas by taxi), having paid 30 hryvnias for the entrance to the Genoese fortress, and 5 hryvnias for the guide, and the New World, where you can walk along the Galitsin trail and ride a boat along it.
This is how this vacation was remembered - gloomy clouds over the outlines of the mountains and warm memories in the soul.
And finally, I’ll say that this hotel can be recommended for an undemanding, inexpensive vacation for not particularly spoiled tourists : )
