She advised me on the best way to get there by car, warned me about the rules for parking in Utes PC. Upon arrival, they were hospitably greeted even with a glass of champagne, and the children were offered juice or kvass! This I have not seen, especially in the Crimea. The hotel and the room are clean, cleaning every day. The beds are comfortable, the children slept on a huge sofa - everyone slept well. We ordered breakfast - everything was delicious at home, we ordered lunch and dinner on request. An indicator - the children ate everything and without a whim! There are many cafes and restaurants along the embankment, but after comparison, they returned to their hotel to taste excellent borscht, good portions of salads, etc. Near the hotel there is a small market and a wine shop. The vacation was a success, the mood is excellent! I would like to thank all the staff for their sensitive and attentive attitude! We will definitely come back next year!
We rested in the village of Utes for 4 days, which coincided with the celebration of Youth Day and the Day of the Constitution of Ukraine.
We immediately planned to spend these 4 days in Simeiz or Alupka. We were looking for a decent (luxury, premium) hotel-boathouse for this time on the seashore. And somehow everything did not work out, sometimes far, sometimes high, sometimes very expensive....
Reading reviews about hotels and boathouses in Simeiz, we came across a good review about Utes village, in particular the Santa Barbara Hotel. The vacationer wrote about the high level of the hotel, some exotic (compared to the rest of the Crimea) of the local village, and the comparability of prices in simple hotels in Simeiz and classy hotels in Utes.
About the hotel. Interested, looked, read the reviews (sorry for a few). We decided to go. With great difficulty, two days before departure, we managed to book a room at the Indigo Hotel. All other called hotels were busy, or the rooms were vacated only the next day after our arrival. In fact, everything was like that, upon arrival they walked around the entire coastline and found only one free room in another edlling, but decided to stay in Indigo.
I really liked the site of the chosen hotel. The hotel is new, all the rooms are different, but all are very beautiful. We were offered a 2-room suite in red and white with a large portrait of Marilyn Monroe. My husband fell in love with the room immediately. The room has 4 beds + a large sofa. Because there were only two of us, the hostess of the hotel gave us a good discount. The only downside to this large room was that it didn't have a balcony. The two large windows of the room overlooked the corner of the street (a very picturesque corner of a very picturesque little street). The room has a refrigerator, a large plasma TV with cable TV, free Wi-Fi, 2 air conditioners (one in each room). Food issues at the hotel are resolved independently, but there is an excellent modern kitchen to solve them. On the roof of the hotel there is a wonderful veranda with sun loungers, benches, chairs and a table where you can drink coffee, tea, wine and admire the tops of adjoining hotels and listen to the sound of the sea.
about nutrition. I really liked the pizza in the cafe of the hotel Verona. The hotel itself also liked (externally). The hotel has an excellent terrace and swimming pool.
About the sea. The beach and the sea are really very close 10-12 meters. There are 2 pebble beaches in Utes, and many concrete bunns, in some places with children's pools, with sun loungers and umbrellas. I think there is enough space for everyone : )
The embankment in Utes is rather narrow (4 meters wide), but long enough for a 10-15 minute promenade : ) her half.
I can’t say much about the quality of the coast (because I didn’t have a chance to swim due to the rather cool weather and the sea quickly cooled to 10 degrees), but I saw that it was difficult to enter the sea barefoot. It is better to use special shoes for this. The sea itself is very clean and transparent. The beaches are clean.
In the sea not far from the coast of 100-150 meters several picturesque cliffs are beautifully spread.
About nature. The boathouse village itself is almost devoid of any greenery and vegetation, but all the boathouses try to decorate the hotel with bright colors.
If you climb (150-200 meters up) to the Utes sanatorium, then you can wander through the beautiful old park of the estate of Princess Gagarina, admire Gagarina's palace (unfortunately, there is little to see inside, there is now the administrative building of the Utes sanatorium and their dining room (where, By the way, you can eat on the buffet system). The house church of Princess Gagarina is well preserved. A beautiful view of Partenit and Medved Mountain opens from Cape Plaka (it's still there), And if you go down from the park down to the large wide embankment, then you can walk to Partenit. A wide concrete embankment towards the sanatorium "Karasan" is accompanied by many pebble beaches. On this embankment, by the way, the public walks much easier than in the boathouse village : ) And the prices on this embankment and in the park are 2 times lower.
About prices. Prices for rooms in boathouses are very different, depending on the boathouse itself; I repeat, there are cheaper rooms, but at that moment all boathouses and hotels were full.
At a small food market, peaches cost 50 UAH / kg (for comparison, in Alushta at the bus station 25), cherries from 30 to 40 UAH (beautiful, however, large), in the park of the sanatorium we bought not so big, but also juicy and tasty for 20 ; apricots - 35-37 UAH (20-22 in the park). Head of boiled corn 10 UAH (Alushta embankment - 7).
There are a sufficient number of different grocery stores: both with democratic prices and with elite ones... Higher - cheaper, more expensive on the embankment. In general, who is looking for....
About transport. Mostly people in this village come elite in expensive cars. But conditions have also been created for people who love to travel by minibus trains. Minibuses through Alushta go straight to the village from the Simferopol railway station according to the schedule, the cost from Simferopol to Utes is about 25 UAH. Minibuses go to Alushta and Yalta not so often (about three times a day). But if you do not want to depend on these routes, then you just need to get to the track. Walking up is very tiring (3 km on a steep road). A minibus will take you to the highway for 5 UAH. And on the highway you choose your own direction and transport (minibus, trolley bus).
P. S. The reviews write about the smell of sewerage. To be honest, on the first day the smell was clearly audible at the end of the embankment (towards Alushta), then we did not hear anything. They say it stinks when I flush the sewer... There was no smell of anything in the place where we lived.
