I just didn’t want to leave the balcony, we admired the sunrise, the night lights.
Cons: the beach is very small, crowded even in September, we went to the next one. The beaches are all free, but you pay if you take a sunbed - 200 rubles. Umbrella -150 rubles, but there is a shady free zone. And there is also a shower, toilet (not available on Hotei beach).
Breakfast is very poor, they also stopped going, had breakfast in the room. You can not refuse, the money is not returned.
There is a pool, but we did not swim in it, as it was not impressive.
In general, I liked everything, and also Crimean dairy products, sausages, dumplings - something that can be quickly cooked is very tasty, we don’t have such. And, of course, New World champagne))) Moscow prices for fruits and vegetables in Gurzuf.
By the way, the hotel has quite decent free parking.
Recommended!
Our room was standard plus. Very nice, small but cozy. Veranda with furniture and awesome view of part of the sea, Bear Mountain and part of the town of Gurzuf. The room was cleaned every day, and every day they brought four new white terry towels. I really liked the pool, always clean and heated to 25C. with sun loungers around. (My favorite place was in the midday heat : )) The staff is very polite (well-trained), although I don’t know how they could tolerate some guests. Food from the bar was brought to us wherever we asked: they brought it to the room and always brought ice cream and cocktails to the pool. I can’t complain about the noise from the street, although our veranda overlooked the road, but since we slept with a closed veranda and the air conditioner turned on.
The hotel has its own beach, closed to outsiders, BUT very, very small in size and people there : (. . . no less than on a common beach. Therefore, it was easier for us to take sunbeds on a common beach every day right by the water (no one interferes and doesn’t walk on you), but minus the pleasure is expensive 60 UAH. (250 rubles) one sunbed for the whole day (although the comfort is worth it and there are always free sunbeds). Go to the beach for 4-5 minutes going down the hill, but going back up ( but there is not much to climb).
In general, what can I say: Cheerful Hotei, of course, does not reach the hotels of Turkey there, Greece (there is no point even in comparison), but, on an equal footing with many other hotels in Crimea, he is head and shoulders above them (this is comparing different hotels and sanatoriums in which we and our various acquaintances were) We have not a single claim to the hotel, except for the rather high cost of living, but as they say, you have to pay for comfort.
But the bathroom spoiled the overall impression. There was a terrible fungus-mold in the shower cabin, the door did not close well - all the water was on the floor, there was no ventilation, so the door to the bathroom had to be kept open, and this, you see, is not very convenient.
The pool had not yet been drained in October, it was possible to swim, but there was already a little silt and dirt at the bottom, it seemed that the cleaning system was not working. And 3 days before leaving, a large frog settled and swam in it.
The restaurant is good and the prices are right. There was no buffet, just the waitresses offered us several dishes to choose from: mainly milk porridge or sausage with a side dish + baked or fruit cuts. Often they didn’t have coffee and we had to buy a cup of about 30g for money. By the end of the holiday, everyone was already sick of sausages and rice. There was no sushi, the sushi bar was closed. The restaurant is open until 23.00, which of course we didn’t like, on vacation with friends you always want to sit longer.
The waitresses are well-trained, well done girls, very polite, friendly.
Internet catches only near the pool, there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms, so when there was a football match of the Russian team, I don’t remember with whom, our husbands ran around the pool, trying to catch the net, because. This match was not broadcast on TV.
Were in the sauna. I was left with a double impression: it seems to be not bad, but it’s very big, not cozy, there are no brooms, the font was not filled, but I didn’t want to run out of the sauna, then climb the stairs, open the door, run to the large pool and jump into it, something didn’t want to.
But be that as it may, the impression was positive, because the beauty of the Crimea and Gurzuf brightened up all the roughness of the hotel. Almost all 10 days we went on excursions, we came to the rooms late. We ate mainly in the cafe "At Lydia" - very tasty and everything is fresh, prices are reasonable. T. Lida - special greetings to you from Krasnodar! A very good restaurant "Meraba" is Tatar cuisine, but, in my opinion, it is the most expensive in Gurzuf. But yantyk-grilled chebureks are prepared only there and SUPER COOKING, I recommend it to everyone.
In September we go again to "Hotei", but this time with a child and a "Family" room. I hope that over the year there have been changes in "Hotei" to improve the service. We'll see, and we will definitely write.
But, after a little rest from the move and resigned to the inevitable, we realized that not everything is so bad. We got used to the pool, and the children just fell in love with it, the guests rarely sat near the pool, and basically only we swam there with our numerous circles and balls.
We no longer paid attention to the walls, we coped with the step, having taught the baby to climb it, dangerous beams were forced into balcony furniture (a sofa for two persons, an armchair and a table). And the beach was found to your taste not far from the hotel. Entrance is free and wooden sunbeds - 40 UAH / day (about $ 5), but you don’t have to take them, many just lay there, under their umbrellas, on bedding...
The staff is just fabulous! Your every wish is fulfilled immediately! Cleaning every day, change of towels (3 or 4 per person) every day, change of linen every 3 days. Once, the youngest had an embarrassment right on the sheet, so we changed the linen immediately, without additional payment and without problems! =) Everyone was extremely friendly, helped to carry the stroller up the stairs, joked with the kids, responded to all requests quickly and accurately.
Nutrition. The buffet breakfast was not particularly pleasing in abundance, but there was everything you needed: soup, second course, salad, fruit, sweet pastries, yogurts, tea / coffee, black and white bread. The breakfast restaurant is beautiful, with good furniture, there is never a crowd, there is enough food for everyone.
Restaurant on the 3rd floor. You can talk about the view from the sushi bar for hours. The city (Gurzuf) located on the mountain, in the evening turns into hundreds of lights spread over the hill, AyuDag rises in the light of the setting sun, the sound of the sea and the smell of pine needles....In general, unforgettable impressions. (By the way, all this can be seen / felt on the balcony of your own room located two floors below). Returning to more mundane issues, I can't get past the prices at the sushi bar. Prices tend to go up (probably to AyuDag =) For four of us (2 adults and 2 children 1 and 4 years old), the minimum amount in the check was 300 UAH ($ 37), it's just dinner, without wine and culinary delights. But even here we found a way out - we ate in a cafe near the sea, unfortunately I forgot the name. The prices there are reasonable, the food is tasty and fresh, and for comparison, for dinner in this cafe we paid not 300 but 100 UAH ($ 13), so you can not go broke on food =)
Almost forgot. If you arrive without a car, you will have to walk around. The nearest grocery store is about 2 km walk. (maybe 1.5, please don’t throw slippers), and if you are with children, then it’s just a “madhouse” to saw 2 km uphill in the heat, and then drag it all down in that heat..... Not much pleasant, good at least there is a fridge in the room. And you need to buy food, whatever one may say, because if you have children, then there is also: "I want yoguuuuuuurt" or "give me soookkk" and also "do we have something tasty ??? " etc. =))) And you can’t run after every snack in a cafe)
Swimming pool. Very clean and well maintained, near it there are many sunbeds and several tables with chairs to sit and drink coffee. The pool is very deep, the minimum depth is approximately 1.5 meters. (Checked by eye =) and the maximum... probably 2.5 meters, and maybe more. In the morning the water is cold (but people swam, probably I'm frozen), but at about 11 am the sun begins to warm it up and already somewhere at 12-13 pm you can start water procedures. =)) Swimming is allowed around the clock, but they warn that at night the water is chlorinated =))))
Another disadvantage is the lack of its own territory. There is nowhere else to sit besides the pool area.
In general, the impressions are different, and although the prices there are quite high, I definitely want to return =)
Honestly, I did not expect that it could be so pleasant to relax in the Crimea, and even with a child.
ROOM. Wardrobe, refrigerator, double bed, sofa, TV, large balcony with a table and two chairs plus a swing chair. two bathrobes, slippers, soap accessories, incl. toothbrush and paste, comb. Bedding is changed every 3 days. Towels - every day.
The pool can be visited around the clock, clean, deep maximum 2.5m.
FOOD. The fee includes breakfast only. Rice, buckwheat, dumplings, dumplings, sausages, chicken, watermelon, melons, cakes, cheese, butter, yogurt, kefir. Tea coffee.
To the sea 3-4 minutes on foot. A place on the beach is worth looking for, because. the beach is shared with the city. You can buy a place on the beach next to a sun lounger. mattress. umbrella 50 UAH ($7) per person.
As they said at the reception, Lanovoy, Domogarov and domestic stars (I don’t remember their names) are resting at the hotel.
