The room is spacious, bright, comfortable bed. The furniture is in order, the air conditioner cooled well, free internet. Clean bathroom, cleaned the room daily and carefully, no complaints.
The territory of the hotel in vegetation, many pools, but also many stairs and elevators. The beaches are 3-4 minutes away, there are three of them nearby, one is a hotel, where you can dive and the hotel bar is open.
The staff is very polite, friendly. We had a late flight home, we did not expect that the room would be extended to us, but we managed to do it at the peak of the season, only 38 euros and the rest was extended for half a day)
The kitchen in the hotel is local, like home. And we really liked the environmental orientation of the hotel: a minimum of plastic. Paper cups, wooden spoons, etc.
I will note the chefs preparing pizza and pasta - just chic, insanely delicious! Very pleased with the selection of fruits and vegetables. In addition, there is a corner for vegetarians. There you could find local pancakes and other goodies. I would also like to note the convenient location of the hotel, just 20 km from the airport. The ride is quite short, about 40 minutes by bus.
The hotel is located in a picturesque place - in the village of Agia Pelagia. Walk to it 20 minutes. We preferred to take a walk along the embankment in the evening, go to a traditional tavern. One of our favorite taverns is Edem. Local dishes and seafood are very tasty there. We especially liked the mussels and shrimp. By the way, the hotel has an a la carte restaurant, we also visited it. Came for a lobster dinner: lobster pasta, salads, appetizers and a glass of local wine were served. Tasty.
From the hotel there is public transport to the city of Heraklion, we took advantage of this chance and visited the capital. Inside the city there is a very beautiful fountain, a Venetian loggia and, of course, shopping streets. The walk to Heraklion took about 4 hours, we even managed to swim that day. As for the infrastructure of the hotel, I will say about a small drawback - the lack of a gym. But nevertheless, you can go in for sports, the animators hold sports activities every morning: yoga, aqua aerobics, water polo. The hotel also has a tennis court.
In principle, the contingent in the hotel is mainly adults, couples, young couples, but also with children they also rest here. We really liked the hotel, and the rest here completely satisfied us. We will definitely come back to this hotel.

This summer we spent the best vacation of our lives on the island of Crete. It was amazing from the Greek air to the pillows in the hotel. Me, my husband and granddaughter Dasha spent two wonderful weeks at the Peninsula resort and spa. We did not choose the hotel for a long time, we took almost the first of those offered, trusted the agent, we did not regret it at all.

Me, my husband and granddaughter Dasha spent two wonderful weeks at the Peninsula resort and spa. We did not choose the hotel for a long time, we took almost the first of those offered, trusted the agent, we did not regret it at all.
The location of the hotel is awesome, only 35 minutes by bus from the airport and we were at the hotel. We arrived around 9 am, we were greeted at the reception with a big smile. Checked in at two o'clock, as the hotel was full, but, nevertheless, until that time we had a good time. There is a room where you can change clothes, with a shower and clean towels, a bar where we had a bite to eat and drank coffee.
A small minus is the lack of a room for luggage, things were left in the hotel lobby.
There are no comments on the number, we booked a bungalow - they gave a bungalow. Excellent veranda overlooking the sea, inside the room is spacious.
Cleaning every day, we asked to be cleaned no later than 11:00, so everything was during the whole holiday, we went to the beach, and it was so convenient. The room had a mini bar with water, juice, beer. It was replenished, the same goes for tea and coffee. Free safe and wifi in the room.
I would like to note the cuisine in this hotel, everything is very tasty, especially local dishes. It is always interesting to introduce them to the country, but here there is diversity. They gave gyro, kebabs, local pies with spinach, moussaka and other folk delicacies. For the child, yogurts, fruits, sweets were appreciated, of which there were a large number. Of course, we can not say about the beaches, there are three of them. We chose Manonaftis, because Dasha was more comfortable there. The beach is sandy and pebbly, small, it is convenient to enter the water. We hardly went to another beach (Psaromura), there are small pebbles, but, nevertheless, there were enough visitors when we came.
There are enough children's entertainment in the hotel and there are enough of them: a swimming pool with a children's slide, a children's playroom, a mini disco in the evenings, animators all in full-length costumes, they are great with the kids! I would like to note that the animators are French, but they get along very well with all the little tourists.
Also a big plus of the hotel is that there is a public transport stop in Heraklion right at the exit. We went once, nice city, but just for a walk at a time. One way fare was 3.80€, not cheap, but the bus is very comfortable. On the last day at the hotel, we thought that we would sit in the hall until the evening, but the guide suggested that we could extend the room at the reception. Only 33 euros and we, consider, extended our vacation for another day. The bus to the airport arrived on the minute, and we went home with the best impressions.
Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

At the door of the hotel, Christina was met by a hotel guide, helped to register at the hotel, told about the possibilities of the hotel, quickly sent me to the room, connected Wi-Fi, and helped to sort out the safe. We had a room overlooking the garden in the second building, silence, no noise, comfortable room, clean, everything was changed on time, there is a TV with 2 Russian channels. In our building there is an indoor pool, when the weather is bad, it's free, it's already open from 10 am.
Used Spa service upon arrival we were given 30 minutes of free access. A nice girl Stella works there.
I want to note that the restaurant has a good abundance of food, dishes for every taste, I liked Tuesday, fish day, there were so many fish and seafood. The views are beautiful from the restaurant, and there is a fresh water pool nearby.
5 minutes to the sea, sunbeds really paid 7 € for 2 lay and an umbrella. We also had our own pier from the hotel, we managed to catch it opening on June 1, there is also a bar.
The territory of the hotel is large, where to roam. Beautiful, palm trees, shrubs, flowers. Loved the hotel, will be back again.

The girls on the counters are just a miracle, especially Maria, nice, she is learning Russian. Yes, in general, all the girls there are good, smiling, kind, they will never leave the issue unresolved.
Further, of course, the room also pleased, as promised - Greek minimalism: beds, as if made of stone, a stylish combination of white, gray and azure colors, polished plumbing in the room, a flat-screen TV - in general,
everything for a comfortable stay is available.
Joy knew no bounds even when we looked out the window and saw the sea! But, we want to note, we had ordered a view of the mountains. We went to the reception to find out the situation, do we need to pay extra for this luxury at the end of the holiday, to which the girls told us that of course not, they have such a number and why not give it to good people. Well, it's nice)))) I was also pleased with the food at the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel is the same every day. They serve yogurt, scrambled eggs, sausages, cheese, fruits, well, in general, it’s standard, and a little variety would not hurt here, but as for lunch and dinner, we liked the menu here. The food, like the whole style of the hotel, is close to Greek, namely fresh vegetables, tzatziki (this is their starter), a lot of meat and especially grilled. Well, my husband and I enjoyed eating national kebabs and gyros every day, the children ate pasta, which the chef prepares right behind the counter, and pizza straight from the oven. The abundance of fruits is also what you need on vacation: melon, watermelon, peaches, pears, oranges.
And, of course, we noted the sea at this hotel. Everything is as close as possible for the mountainous area, you can get there both by stairs and by elevator, for the especially lazy there is even a car delivery to the far beach of Psaromura) We went to Mononaftis with small pebbles, it is the longest of all the local ones. And the hotel has its own private cement beach where you can dive. Sunbeds are paid, 2 euros each, as in municipal ones. On the same beach there is also a bar, which is included in the all-inclusive, very convenient)
And no matter what hotel you live in Greece, it will be cozy and good everywhere, with local hospitality and cordiality! Thanks for the rest.

The rooms are spacious, bright, clean, in the style of a Cretan village house. In general, the entire hotel was built as a model of a Cretan village, there is even a church on the territory. There was a hair dryer and a kettle in the room, but there were no bathrobes or slippers. Beach towels can be borrowed from reception for 1 euro per day. One day it was very windy for us and we stayed at the hotel - you can play billiards and darts for free, go to the spa (you can order and pay for the spa at the reception). The beach next to the hotel is small, but we were at the beginning of the season and did we have enough space? From 10 am, the pool next to the main restaurant is animation, music sounds. In the restaurant itself, breakfast starts at 7:30, so even if you are planning to go on an excursion program, you will have time to have breakfast. At breakfast, you will find scrambled eggs, fried eggs, fried bacon, Cretan sausages, sausages, feta, vegetables, fruits, Greek yogurt with jam or delicious local honey. For lunch, there is usually meat, fish, stuffed eggplant, peppers, delicious desserts, pastries and ice cream. From drinks, local wine from barrels, crayfish, vodka, rum, draft beer, juices for children, lemonade, cola. Dinner is sometimes themed, for example, fish, there is also Cretan cuisine, but if you want a real Cretan evening with songs and dances and a lot of impressions, then it’s better to go to the village of Anopoli, it’s not far from Heraklion, we ordered tickets and a group transfer from Mousinides, (dinner (Cretan cuisine + wine), the program is just super. I strongly advise everyone to go, only here we felt 100 percent that we were in Crete. There is a snack bar on the territory of the hotel itself, where you can always have a bite to eat if you don’t have time to the main restaurant, which is open until 24.00.
In general, we had a great rest, and I wish you the same : )

The purpose of our trip was to take a break from the bustle of the city, and plunge into the world of tranquility. Let me tell you, what you want is what you get. The village of Agia Pelagia pleased with its local flavor. The Peninsula Hotel is built in traditional Greek style...beautiful white houses with blue balconies.
The territory is full of greenery and a lot of flowers, giving its guests fragrant aromas. The hotel is located on a mountain, steps everywhere. For some, this may be a problem, but for me it is a good exercise, especially after delicious dinners. The hotel offers a beautiful panoramic view of the sea and nearby hotels. The view is good to observe from the main restaurant, where your breakfast, lunch and dinner will be held. It will be a great start to the day
Upon arrival at the hotel, we were met by friendly staff, placed in the room immediately, but we made a mistake with the choice of room.
We didn't like the room, it was too small. We turned to our hotel guide, with a request to change the room, if possible. Solved this problem without any problem. Thank you very much! The room was equipped with everything you need. The windows of the room overlooked the beautiful Aegean Sea, which could be admired for hours. Room cleaning and towels were changed daily, no complaints, the girls worked properly. Friendly and always smiling staff. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel and is free.
The food was great! Everything is fresh and cooked amazingly. Breakfast is the usual European one, but you will find tasty treats for yourself, and lunch and dinner are just a delight. Particularly pleased with the seafood, which was here every day.
In this hotel, large friendly families rest, mostly French, Germans, British, very rarely, but Russians are also found.
Animation is available for both adults and children in French. But this does not prevent the children from having fun and provocatively. In the evening, the program for adults begins, where the animators amuse the guests in every possible way. Feeling of absolute safety and comfort in the hotel. There were no scandals, fights, quarrels and cases of theft. But just in case, we kept valuables in a safe. The public beach is quite clean, we did not observe sea urchins. Sun loungers and umbrellas for a fee. There is a pool, but we never swam in it, there was no need. Enjoy the waters of the beautiful sea. In the evenings, you can take a walk to the local village, where peace and tranquility reign. A good place to take a break from our stuffy and busy cities. Impressions from the rest and the hotel were only positive. Price and quality corresponds to its reality. Good 4*.

We rested at the Peninsula Resort & Spa with a friend at the end of May last year. Soon it will be spring again, so I want to write a review and recommend this hotel for spring holidays. I must say right away that this hotel is more suitable for families and people who are looking for a more relaxing holiday. We traveled more to hang out and miscalculated a bit. The very location of the hotel, and the neighboring village is very beautiful, especially the gorgeous view from the hotel to the village at night, when all the buildings built on the mountainside light up.
The drive to the hotel is not long from Heraklion, the capital of the island, a shuttle bus runs directly to the hotel reception. A bus ticket costs 2 euros, the schedule can be checked at the reception, where they speak English, or from a Russian-speaking hotel guide. Victoria helped us, thank you very much for her good advice and valuable tips. We rested in Crete for the first time and did not even imagine that this is such an amazing beautiful island and there is so much to see here. In general, instead of clubs, we went on excursions and never regretted it. We especially liked the towns of Chania and Rethymno, original, medieval, I advise everyone to definitely go there. I was also very impressed with the excursion to the island of Spinalonga, I never thought that somewhere I could be surprised by such a beautiful color of water and a gorgeous view from a medieval fortress. In general, we spent three days out of seven on trips, and never regretted it. It was possible to order breakfast at the hotel, we were fed on excursions, and in the evening we had dinner at the hotel. I also really liked the food at the hotel, the only thing is that the breakfast was a bit monotonous, I don’t eat scrambled eggs, except for Greek yogurt with honey, I didn’t try almost anything. But lunch and dinner is a completely different matter: there was always a choice of several types of meat, something from seafood, a variety of salads, fruits, wine. Once we got to the evening of sea cuisine, I, as a lover of fish, was very pleased. The chef at this hotel is Italian, I, unfortunately, did not remember his name, but I would like to convey special thanks to him. The risotto and pasta have always been excellent! And in general, he liked to arrange a culinary performance at the bar in the evenings and cook something tasty on the grill? In the evenings, we were also always entertained here, though only in French or English. In general, we were satisfied with the rest, although initially we were counting on a slightly different format.
