Of the advantages of the hotel, I would like to highlight:
1. the hotel is beautiful and well maintained (both the territory and the building), the pools and the beach are clean
2. the service is at a good level, and everything can be obtained absolutely without tips and “money in the passport” (I don’t consider myself to be a snobby picky who, out of principle, will squeeze everything paid in full and demand excessive attention to their person and even admiration). Settled immediately (although the hour of settlement has not yet arrived), fed. They allowed to be in the room until 16.00 for free with a late check-out, but because we had to leave only at 21 o'clock, then we paid extra 50 euros by check.
3. The service in the restaurant was especially polite and pleasant. The dishes are varied and there are many of them, but repetitive (there is no problem with the choice and the fact that the food is tired). It is especially important that there are no problems with dietary nutrition and food for young children. And in general - food at every step, you just stumble over it (snacks at the bar in the national and European style), ice cream, drinks. Confectionery products were often different, they did not have time to try everything. Fruits are ripe and a large selection.
4. For children, everything is provided to the maximum
5. In a restaurant, reception, in bars, many people speak Russian (at least at the level of explaining what to bring)
6. Many other good things that generally outweigh the disadvantages from my point of view.
Among the shortcomings of the hotel I will tell you about the following:
1. Fruits are not always thoroughly washed, and besides, tourists often throw them back and forth, dig them up more beautifully. Especially at the bar on the pier. Although, of course, tourists are not the fault of the hotel, you won’t stand over every hryundel and educate, but....You can pick up a specific Turkish infection of the gastrointestinal tract.
2. I must say that quite a lot of tourists this summer picked up such an infection, incl. and in our hotel. I lay for a day with a temperature below 39 and vomiting with diarrhea (the tons of medicine I took with me did not help), on the second day I went to the hospital. They put me on a drip and prescribed antibiotics. On the third day I began to slowly recover. Here I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to the hotel guide of the company Tez tour Inessa for help in negotiations with insurance and doctors !! ! Thanks to her, everything was done according to the policy, although no one was taken from the hospital, I had to take a taxi. The hotel also showed sympathy: they gave a branded bag and a T-shirt with wishes for a speedy recovery (however, the T-shirt is for a hefty man, and the black color on the bag was smeared).
3. Linen was not changed every day (usually every other day), slippers were given only once. Bathrobes were changed after a week. Bathrobes are only small sizes, so it did not converge on my mother. Shower gel, body balm were given not every day, and not always a complete set. Toothbrushes and razors were not available upon arrival, and then several sets were put in.
4. There are mosquitoes, but they poisoned them regularly, so I can’t say that they were stuck. Mosquitoes fly into the rooms from the central air conditioning system, and on the territory from the bushes (as always and everywhere)
5. I immediately chose a room with a view of the city, because sea view is always additional humidity and excess noise from poolside concerts. We lived on the 6th floor, so the view is good, the street and the neighboring Dolphin Imperial do not interfere. You can't really hear the music when the balcony is closed (however, the heat was such that it was unbearable to open the balcony. But here, whoever likes it). In addition, it was the month of Ramadan, and therefore at 5 in the morning there was a loud call to prayer for the whole district (you can’t hear it behind closed doors)
6. We received the biggest slap in the face on the penultimate day of our stay. Although you can’t book sunbeds until 8.30, but at the main pool everyone starts to take them already at 6 in the morning (although there are a lot of sunbeds, but still not enough). We also occupied them around the hour appointed by the hotel (and on this day we were lucky, because it was a very convenient place) and, as usual, went to breakfast. When we came to our seats, we saw that our things were nowhere to be found, and burghers from privileged rooms were reclining on sun loungers (guests in expensive suites, etc. have towels of a different color and bracelets). We were told something in German and said "reception". It turns out that our things were taken away at the request of the Germans, who wanted to lie in these beautiful places, because. We supposedly took our seats until 8:30. So everyone at the pool did too! In general, rudeness of the highest degree. By the way, the Germans often did this by the pool, simply dumping other people's things (but I personally didn’t see the showdown later). It's disgusting to the point of being stupid, and more so from the behavior of our Russian girls working at the reception (Julia and Irina are the chief administrator). By the way, from the Turks themselves at the reception, we always received the same as all the guests needed, and no rudeness. And these always tried to argue!
7. On the day of departure, Irina again stumbled: I came to pay at the reception for a room for an additional half day 50 euros using a Visa card. And they tell me that their terminal has not been working at the hotel for the fourth day already !! ! (it seems that there are no problems with cards anywhere in Turkey, with the exception of ATM glitches - cards are often “eaten up”). Irina described the location of the ATM, which "seems to be not supposed to eat anything" (quote). Since the non-working payment terminal is the fault of the hotel, I ask you to take me to the nearest bank to withdraw money (actually, it takes 5 minutes by car, and I have a disability in the supporting apparatus, it’s hard for me to run, especially since I don’t really know where). The hotel does not provide such services! And point! Sit in the lobby after 4 pm. Again, thanks to Tez tour, they sent their car and the guide went with us, because. bank employees know only their native language. In general, Tez worked perfectly! She brought cash to the hotel and demanded that I write out a document confirming the payment for the room, otherwise they would say later that they had not paid
Summary: the second-class Russians can be felt in many foreign tours. In general, the hotel itself is not bad and it is felt that the owners of the hotel strive to do everything very well, but... I concluded for myself: we don’t go on vacation during the peak season, fewer people - more attention to each guest!
In general, you can go to the hotel, especially if you are ready to eat a lot and drink as much. Otherwise it's too expensive. . .
Of course, there are pluses, 1. A variety of food, 2. Prompt service in the restaurant, 3. Unlimited free visits to a la carte restaurants. 4. Excellent hookah.
Cons - 1. Old hotel, 2. Small rooms with incredible audibility of neighboring rooms and a night disco
3. Exceeding all measures of decency, the work of the staff at the counter, (practically without hesitation selling rooms with the best view and, accordingly, without any hesitation not providing such rooms if you purchased them from an agency, the staff settles in a room with a side sea view and approves that they have a direct view, although this is far from the case, the issue price is 50 bucks, when you start, the issue is indignant, but then they almost always offer a room on the 2nd floor, where the sea is not visible)
4. Not an unimportant fact and not at all pleasant is a lot of mosquitoes, the balcony should always be closed, sleeping with the air conditioner on is not convenient and not safe for the health of children, it is very a pity for children bitten by mosquitoes.
5. Unsafe water slides for children, slippery steps, narrow passage.
6. Sloppy animation and a very stuffy room, there is practically no air ventilation.
7.80% of the guests in the hotel are Germans and for them there are advantages in service over tourists from the CIS, they had to speak English in order to be served quickly.
8. Baths are a separate topic - if you go there for free, apart from the sheets, no one will give you anything, you must bring towels yourself, it’s not worth talking about the room that it is old and needs repair.
9. A bath in the room, I have not seen anything like this - except for shampoo in an uncomfortable large bottle on the wall, there is nothing, there is no air conditioner and gel to talk about the presence of toothpaste, brushes and other things that are given by default in any 5-star hotel you will not see here, the bath is very narrow and short even for a child.
10. Accidentally went into the kitchen of the hotel - to say that I was mildly shocked is nothing to say, dirt, disgusting smell, as they are not tested for sanitary conditions and there were no cases of food poisoning among tourists, I don’t understand.
12. Do not buy into the amusement park, these are 3 attractions with queues, your child will get tired of all this on the 2nd day because it will become boring and mosquitoes will bite.
13. It’s not very pleasant to hang bracelets in this hotel, I don’t know how for anyone, but for me it’s not pleasant - someone is higher in status, someone is lower, and here’s proof for you - the color of the bracelet. In all the hotels where we rested with the family, there is no such relic as bracelets - as a pass to the hotel, a key (card) from the room can serve.
To summarize - this hotel is definitely not 5 stars, and you should not go there to rest.
We rested in Diva for the first time in 2008, then, out of the habit of changing hotels every year, we went to Royal Wings. In 2010 and 2011 we decided that "the best is the enemy of the good" and again rested in Dolphin. This year they "stepped on a rake" - they changed Dolphin to Starlight and there is no limit to our indignation.
End of emotion and to the point. In Diva, a small but extremely well-thought-out territory, well-trained staff, smiles and courtesy at every step, the waiters literally guess desires. Most people have a professional memory: once you order the same drinks 2-3 times, when they come up to you in a restaurant they already name a set typical for you, and after a couple of days, while you are choosing your food, you will already have your favorite drinks are waiting for you.
By the pool, coffee, beer, champagne, drinks are delivered by waiters on rollers!
A magnificent bar right on the pier, there are also tables and sunbeds on the lower level (around the main pier they made the second level a meter lower, where they installed umbrellas and sunbeds).
We liked to dine outdoors in a restaurant between the pool and the sea (in the evening it is Turkish a la carte).
There is a very strict dress code for dinner in the evening. For children and those with a sweet tooth, there is a whole hall with sweets for every taste. Every day a new menu: the day of Mexico, Italy, Turkey, Japan. . .
Every day a huge selection of fruits (huge cherries, strawberries, several varieties of grapes, huge peaches of 2-3 varieties, watermelons and melons melt in your mouth. . . )
They cook all children's cereals, even semolina. For kids, the restaurant has a separate room. Children's high chairs are always tightened on top with a film.
It is unrealistic to stay hungry there, if a restaurant is closed, you can always find something tasty: shawarma, ice cream, pancakes, baked potatoes (they are stuffed with the filling you choose yourself). For fast food lovers: all day long, one gazebo is constantly replenished with sausages, sandwiches, french fries...
The animation is great all day long, they invite you unobtrusively, but with enthusiasm. Once every two weeks, a galla dinner with the obligatory invitation of either a Chinese circus or a dance group from Brazil... Children are dressed in all white - angels with wings and they release white balloons into the sky at the same time.
