The concept of the hotel is 16+ and this is very pleasing. For children, this is a hotel without entertainment, animation, water slides, etc. Children will definitely be bored. We traveled with a group of 6 people. Get ready that this is not Antalya, this hotel is designed for Europeans. If the check-in is at 14.00, then it is unlikely that you will be given a room earlier, as well as the check-out - at 12.00 you need to vacate the room. We flew out late in the evening, but this did not affect the time spent outside the room at all. Near the pool there are very soft sunbeds, shade, waiters offer drinks and food all the time.

The infrastructure in the hotel is excellent. Rest mainly Europeans and very few Turkish guests. The staff is great, they only speak English. Cleaning in the room, replenishment of the bar - daily.
Food - standard for 4, lots of fruit, very tasty white and red bottled wine, in the bar tequila, whiskey, baileys, raki, beer, etc. of good quality. I would like to give special thanks to the staff. To Ismail waiters, wonderful guys Alperen and Eylul. The attention and care that they show to the guests are worthy of an Oscar. In general, the entire staff of the hotel is very friendly and attentive, for which many thanks to them !!!

The hotel has 2 beaches - one with pontoons, the other - at the end of the hotel - sandy, but there are no sunbeds and umbrellas. The view from the restaurant and the room is stunning, very beautiful in the evening. Definitely recommend the hotel for those who go to relax and are looking for a relaxing holiday with good service. Many thanks to the hotel!

First, I will write about the pros of the hotel - this is the location. Close to the main attractions of Bodrum. Tolerable internet and towels without cards and deposit. On this, perhaps, everything. There will be a lot of text further, because more than one hotel has not hurt me so much with its bestial attitude towards guests. … More ▾ First, I will write about the pros of the hotel - this is the location. Close to the main attractions of Bodrum. Tolerable internet and towels without cards and deposit. On this, perhaps, everything.

There will be a lot of text further, because more than one hotel has not hurt me so much with its bestial attitude towards guests.

The concept stated in our voucher was Ultra All Inclusive and Club Sea View room category. Inspired by the beautiful photos from the Booking site and the high rating of the hotel there, we hoped for a good stay.
But, from the first hours of arrival, deception on the part of employees began. We had an early check-in at the hotel. They brought a group at 7 am. According to the hotel employee, the rooms should have been provided to us after 14:00, because there are no free ones.
At the same time, we were put on bracelets and offered to go to breakfast.
At the end of breakfast, each of our group was approached by a restaurant employee and wrote down the names ...
It turned out that this breakfast was paid for us and cost 90 lire (about 280 UAH) per person.
To be honest, this is the first time I have come across such sloppiness, especially if the hotel guests have the Ultra All concept and, in my opinion, they should be warned about such nuances.
By the way, the bracelets were changed after 12-00. It turned out that the bracelet that we put on in the early morning was, apparently, only so that an employee could identify us in the restaurant and write down our names.
There is only 1 bar on site! Which is very inconvenient. At the same time, half of the drinks that are in the bar are, according to the bartenders, Extra (i. e. , for an additional fee). And the cocktails that were prepared according to our Ultra All concept often had an incomprehensible taste and it was impossible to drink them. In addition, everything is poured into cups made of thin cheap plastic. Somehow, they even made Turkish coffee in a paper cup for me. Each time serving in normal glasses-cups had to be begged for. They argued that covid and the rules prohibit it.
At the same time, the locals immediately drank from normal dishes in the bar.

The settlement was a separate infernal hell. It turned out that the Club Room See View category is accommodation in old rooms, the view from which can hardly be called a sea view.
I was shown 3 numbers:
1) overlooking a mountain of construction debris, a staff smoking room and parking from staff cars. Behind this beautiful set you could see the sea, if you walk...
2.2 rooftop rooms that weren't even closed in any way. The receptionist just opened the door without anything. I suspect that in the summer season, for humane reasons, it was impossible to settle there because of the heat. I refused to take these rooms either, because the road to them was difficult (no elevator up the stairs) and it was hellishly hot there. After I received an answer that there were no more numbers and there was nothing more to show me.
In my opinion, rooms with such conditions cannot be sold and accommodate guests.
When booking a room, make sure that the category is Hotel Sea View, if you want a view, like on booking and a room after renovation in the main building.
I agreed to pay for the category upgrade, but they told me that there were no available rooms in the main building.

After calling the host company, they received an answer that take any of the shown ones today, and tomorrow your hotel guide will be there and will help with relocation to a normal room. They were not ready to change the hotel.

After this conversation, and it happened at 16-00 (let me remind you, we checked into the hotel at 7 in the morning), the hotel employee said that the room in the main building had miraculously been released, but you would have to pay an extra 20 euros per day for it and it was not cleaned . She showed me the number, he came up to us and immediately ordered in front of me that the maid removed it. We went on to wait by the pool for our settlement. Came back 3 hours later - the room was still not ready...

We settled somewhere at 19-30, i. e.
more than 12 hours after check-in and 5 hours after standard check-in time. Nobody compensated for the time and nerves spent on it.

The minibar in the room had a small bottle of juice, 2 bottles of sparkling water, 2 cans of cola and 2 bottles of plain water. More mini-bar was not replenished for the whole week of rest. Only put a large bottle of drinking water.

The food is very mediocre. I already spoke about drinks - you can only drink juice (but be careful, because they brought me sour one time), beer and white wine. I remind you that the concept of Ultra All Inclusive. Summer, I want ice cream - it is, but only at dinner, 2 types from large buckets. During the day, they sell ice cream in packs near the pool - this is extra, that is, for an additional fee.

By the way, on the first day of arrival, I saw a bartender in the second bar, which is indoors, but according to her, everything was there for an additional fee. Even juice for the baby. Then this bar just closed.
At 9-10 in the morning there are no free sunbeds. Everyone is occupied at 6-7 in the morning.

There is only 1 channel on TV in Russian, positioning itself as Ukrainian, but clearly with a pro-Russian bias.

Based on all this, I cannot recommend La Quinta by Wyndham.

The hotel is of average quality, does not pull on 4-ku in any way. Treshka is good. The only problem we saw was that in the evening there was nowhere to sit in hotels, zero animation, live music was only on Fridays and only from 20 to 22 hours. That is, if you just have a drink in the company, then you can still, but if the company is youth, then they always went to Gumbet or Bodrum. There is no beach of our own, we went to a nearby hotel, there was one, but we had to overcome obstacles in the form of fences to get through. The hotel staff is not bad, they always smile, because they were with a small child, there was always even a little excessive attention, but overall pleasant. Yes, I also forgot to say, cleaning in hotels is peculiar: replace the bar, change the towel, make the bed.... all. . . it was dirty on the floor, it didn’t seem to have been washed since the opening of the season, and the children love cleanliness. In general, it’s suitable for young people, it’s not very good with a child, or you just need to do wet cleaning yourself, in general, they did it : ) The sea is cool, even very cool, but clean. Would I go to this hotel a second time - rather no than yes.

The entrance to the sea is from the stairs, there is a beach on the rocks (free) and on the platform (but paid), the pool is close to the sea, there were almost no children. Meals - a hearty breakfast (in addition to the usual set of dishes, they cooked either scrambled eggs or pancakes) and dinner - very tasty and enough food without lunch, drinks are not included, but for dinner they always put a carafe of cold drinking water on each table, besides this there was watermelon peaches . melon, etc. There are always several types of meat and fish, and there is always something cooked on the barbecue or on the grill. A lot of foreigners, so the food, fruit remained until the end of dinner. In general, a wonderful diet for women, I enjoyed food and lost weight. The sea is clean, but cooler than in Antalya.
I liked Bodrum, although the prices for souvenirs and things are more expensive than in Kemer. But next year I want to go to Marmaris, then I will conclude where it is better.

We went with TurTez, UIA charter on Tuesdays and Fridays. I’ll write right away that we ordered a regular double room with a garden view. Met in Turkey girls from TurTeza, distributed by bus. A big plus is that the airport in Bodrum is close to the city itself, 30 min. ride. On the way to the hotel, the girl-guide Christina told a little about the resort, gave information about the hotel guide TourTes, and of course excursions. A big bias on their programs and excursions, which are 1.5-2 times more than others. We took one - a walk on a yacht. But more on that later.
It was somehow intriguing that only my husband and I were in this hotel, and the driver didn’t really know exactly where our hotel was, circled around the city a bit and didn’t drive up to the hotel itself, with the words “I won’t turn around there”, please go on foot. Oh well, go down the hill, 300m. We went into the hotel lobby, at the reception, the staff is not smiling, the ceiling is leaking,
but the floor is clean. The most "interesting" thing began after - they gave a room, but there the refrigerator does not work, there is dirt on the balcony from whitewashing. We ask for another, they gave another, the sink is clogged there. We are already “smiling” and asking for another number and come with us to watch. They already took two keys (two rooms) and the three of us went with the hotel administrator - the third room did not open, the fourth - the water was barely flowing from the shower, the room itself was dirty. On the bulletin board, they found the phone number of the responsible girl from TurTez for this hotel - Lena. We call her and ask her to resolve the issue. She says that there are always problems with this hotel and the company will no longer send tourists here (like this makes us better) not with great desire to visit us at all. We are negotiating with her, then we hand over the phone to the chief administrator. We are in shock, we ask for a number so that everything works and is cleaned, because we are already tired of walking, we are terribly nervous.
They took two more keys and also went to the bride with the girl. Already began to show good rooms with sea views. But then they said that you need to pay extra for 10 at. e. for each night. Naturally, we refused, we realized that people just want to earn extra money, and we just demanded our usual normal number. Well, for the seventh run, we were lucky No. 711. Everything is cleaned, it works, although the toilet bowl wobbles a little  . The room has air conditioning, a small TV (not plasma), a refrigerator, a balcony, a wardrobe, a shower / WC, a hairdryer, a washbasin. None of the staff apologized. Well, okay, what to expect from the Turks. This is not Europe. Then they already found out that they did the same with Russian tourists. Although the hotel was practically empty, I counted only about 50 people at dinner. On the second day, the girl came to guide the hotel, the same Lena. We complained to her and told her in detail about the settlement. She wrote down what and how. Then she quickly switched to excursions, for which she actually came.
She gave us one sea tour of the bays for 50 USD. e. /1 pers. - all inclusive. She, however, tried as much as possible, but we flatly refused. The motivation is that we are insured, that they are responsible for everything and that all the tourists on the boat are ours. Then in the city we found the same tour at half the price. About the tour - we stopped on time, sending from Gumbet. Tourists really, all of us. Gathered three groups and three guides with them. About 70 people in total. As they later asked, these guides are young students, about 20 years old, Ukrainians. They work and practice like this in Turkey. They didn’t really tell anything, followed the tourists (but everything was cultural) and explained where the stop was. Of course, this excursion is not worth the money, even with all inclusive. Brewery, wine - sour, there were local cola, sprite, water. Lunch - chicken, vermicelli and potatoes + salad. My husband was left hungry, they took bread (well, at least he had plenty) and chewed, and did not feed the fish.
Basically,
as I understand it, 80% of the Turks rest in the Mavi Kumsal hotel, 10% are Europeans, the rest are Russians and Ukrainians. Hotel with two meals a day (morning-evening). The food is different, from Turkish salads to fried potatoes, vermicelli, fried fish, kebabs, chicken, and in the morning scrambled eggs or pancakes (which is what we ate the most). We are not very picky eaters, so we were not hungry. Although when compared with other hotels in Turkey, the food is rather poor. And yet, (! ) of the drinks that were included in the price were: in the morning tea, coffee, water, and in the evening only ordinary cold water. They save terribly. The prices in the restaurant are crazy - beer 0.33l costs 8 lira, and in the bar of the room - 5.
Now about something more pleasant - a large pool with umbrellas and sun loungers, the sea is clean, although the bottom is stone (down the stairs), it is not very hot. Since there were very few people, there was no queue for sunbeds. The sandy beach was in the neighboring hotel Aska, 5 * (20m). There are guards constantly grazing the territory,
they are not allowed to sit on their sunbeds, but you can swim there. There are also 2 bars with expensive drinks, fitness equipment.
If you leave the hotel and go to the right up 100 meters you can see the market, there is beer and water and sweets, which is cheaper than in the hotel and in the room in the refrigerator. And if you go uphill 300m. you get to the main road (where we were dropped off on the first day), there for 2.5 lira / 1 person. you can take an orange minibus to the center of the city of Bodrum itself (if you go to the right) or to the Gumbet area (if to the left). You can also walk, 30 minutes to go down there, and back up the hill (mountainous terrain). It was hard for me somehow, and hot. And, also near the hotel on the beach there is a pier, where boats go to the center of Bodrum every 20-30 minutes, though more expensive than 5 lira / 1 person. We mostly went to the city for lunch, walked and dined in cafes. The town itself is not big, clean, with a huge number of yachts on the shore. I advise you to change money in banks, but do not be alarmed if there is a queue.
Nearby there is another bank with the same (or better) rate, but without a queue at all. Paradox. And the system in banks is such that you first need to take a sheet with the number in the queue in the machine (it is in the middle of the bank) and wait to look at the scoreboard when your number comes up (like we have in CSS). And also courses are not posted anywhere. You can find out the course directly from the operator, standing in line. But in principle it is the same everywhere. In the city, in the center, we found a shop and a fruit market. Souvenirs are better to buy not on the main street (expensive), but on the adjacent ones. Also bargain until the last. Although somehow the Turks have not become very accommodating and the prices are not small. Maybe because most vacationers are 90% Europeans, but they don't care. On average, beer is 5 liras, pizza is 10-15 liras, a hamburger with fries is 6-10 liras, fried fish with salad and potatoes is 20 liras. Portions are normal.
In general, rested not quite terribly,
even not bad (with the exception of some moments with the settlement) if you adapt to the terrain. My conclusion is the Mavi Kumsal hotel for a quiet and relaxing holiday (there is no animation) and good nerves.

It looks much better in the photos than it really is.
Main advantages:
- good location, 15 minutes walk to the center, but at the same time the port is far away, so the water near the hotel is clean.
- tolerable food, although not very diverse, but they never got hurt.
- quiet, few children.
That's all the positives.
The main cons (there are many more):
The hotel is very old and has not been renovated for a long time.
- if you want a sea view, be sure to specify this condition at the travel agency when booking the tour. Here you can not agree at the reception for 20 bucks (as in Egypt) and get a normal room. Rooms overlooking the "park" is better not to take. We had such a "chic" view from the window that we never opened the curtains at all.
- cleaning in the rooms is so-so, towels are stained. Once the cleaning lady took my personal towel, then they searched for a long time.
- about nutrition: very few fruits. And if you go on an excursion very early or return late, then no one puts breakfast for you and they don’t leave dinner for you either, even if you really ask, they simply don’t have such a service.
- there are no fish in the sea at all! You don't have to take a mask with you.
- a very small green area of the hotel (there is practically none).
- no animation, entertain yourself.
- the hotel staff does not speak Russian, mostly foreigners from Europe and East Asia of middle age have a rest.
In general, if you expect a European-style renovation, good service and romance from a hotel, this hotel is definitely not for you.
Of course, we didn’t particularly bother about all the inconveniences, we mostly went on excursions and walked in the city, and only spent the night in the hotel. I just decided to post this review so that tourists know what to expect from this hotel and not be disappointed in their choice.
