5 day trip
Bus tour for 5 days from St. Petersburg to Finland-Sweden was found at the Labyrinth. And so, I went on a journey. In the early morning, it was drizzling, our bus started from the Oktyabrskaya hotel. There was a fear that we would go through control at the border for a long time, but everything went quickly. Finland met us with a little rain and cloudy weather, but this did not spoil my mood at all. Three hours from the border to Helsinki and an excursion there, then free time.
On the square near the cathedral (it seems) there is an exhibition and there are bears painted with folk motifs from different countries. The church in the rock looks very majestic, a completely different impression than from Russian churches. And we also saw in Helsinki a monument to Jean Sibelius, the great classical composer. An excellent occasion to listen to his works again when she returned home.
Then we went to Turku and from there to Stockholm at night on the Silja Europe ferry (like I wrote it right). A great dinner was waiting on the ferry, and then a walk through the shops and a disco. Early in the morning we arrived in Stockholm and took a city tour by bus, then a walking tour of the Old City. In the overview as a whole, we looked at the city and now I already imagine where to go. On a walking tour, we went from the palace to a small statue of a boy, looked at the narrowest street, saw the Nobel Museum, etc. Then we had free time before checking into the hotel and we went to the Unigarden. I went for a walk around Skansen. There was only enough time to walk around, not stopping anywhere for a long time: neither at the zoo, nor at the houses.
14 pm. Check in hotel. The Rica Talk is located in the suburbs. It's far away by car, and by train 10 minutes from the center - it's very convenient. The hotel is wonderful. At the very beginning there was a hitch: they didn’t know how to take the elevator, then they figured it out - you need to insert a card from the number and press the desired floor. Meals - breakfast buffet. The room has a hairdryer and iron. From the room you can see the panorama of the area. The next day is completely at our disposal. I decided to visit Milsgarden, which I heard about on the bus from tourists. I will tell about it separately. I really liked it there.
The fourth day was a trip to the ancient capital - Uppsala, now it is a student place, where different faculties are located. Uppsala also has a fabulous Gothic Cathedral, where the coronation takes place. The interior - no words, I fall silent.
By evening, we again gathered all over the place, those who are the first time and those who are already traveling not for the first time, and went back first by ferry to Turku, then Helsinki. There we sent and picked up a few more people. Further way to Peter.
The journey went well. And thanks again Labyrinth.
