Valencia and a / c Vueling
We will be vacationing in Mallorca in June. We want to go to Valencia to walk around the city. The questions are:
1) What is interesting to see in 12-13 hours in Valencia, where to go? Excursion 15-15 - does it make sense to take it or not?
2) Vueling Airlines - when is the best time to check in for a flight via the Internet - when the check-in window opens or before the window closes? When buying tickets for the seats did not pay. How are free seats distributed in the cabin - do they let you choose yourself or are assigned automatically?

I will be unoriginal and, as usual, I will advise you not to rush around the map and not turn your vacation into a sightseeing run. Book yourself a couple of nights in Valencia, see it at a calm pace, you don’t have to go in one day. As I understand it, in Mallorca, most likely, there is a tour package, and you will feel sorry for the lost nights in the island hotel, but strangle the toad and spend the night in Valencia, since you really want to see it.

Tickets have already been purchased and are non-refundable. so we just want to walk around the city and see 2-3 sights. while we are planning a cathedral and something else ....

ollennka, have you ever taken excursions 15-15? not necessarily in Valencia, maybe in other cities.

2-3 days to see Valencia?????
Well....
Well, there are enough hours for everything.
According to Vueling, it gives places automatically. But you can contrive to take nearby. It gives places in order, i.e. you have registered, the next one who registers is given a place near you. But for this scheme, it is necessary that there is no mass registration, because between you someone left will register and that's it. Therefore, you should ideally register at night, when there are few people who want to register, then the chance that someone will have time to take a seat between you is minimal.

In principle, a few hours will be enough for any city, if for show ...
camomille, no, I haven’t been on such excursions, I heard from you for the first time, on their website it all sounds interesting, I would go.

One full day was enough for us in Valenicia, though with an overnight stay. Be sure to first inspect the Old Town and the Cathedral, it is chic, by the way, the famous Grail is stored there. Next, I advise you to see the modern part of the city - the city of science and art, built according to the Calatrava project, where you can take a tour on a train and go around the whole city. In the same place I advise you to try the drink orshad from almond milk, for some reason it is very tasty there. Then we went to the embankment in the evening and sat in a restaurant, we recommend trying their Valencian paella, it seemed to me the most delicious of those that we ate in Spain. And it will not be "for show" at all

Yes, I also advise you to go to the Fallero Museum, dedicated to historical festival dolls. There are stored 2-meter dolls participating in the annual Fallas festival. The museum is free, by the way.

The Cathedral of Santa Maria overlooks the Plaza de la Virgen, there is also the Basilica Virgen de Los Desamparados and the Palace of the Generals, and the garden. And on the square is the Turia fountain. In general, half a day is enough for you to visit the Old Town.

Many thanks to everyone who responded!
So far, the program looks like this: the Cathedral, then to the Santa Catalina Orchateria, then walk to the Serranos Towers, wait out the peak of the heat in the Museum of Fine Arts, Royal Gardens and some restaurant, and then just walk around the Old Town.

kolyan_cat, thanks for the recommendation. Tell me, please, how are the seats distributed - from the beginning of the cabin or from the tail? it is better to register at the opening of the window or before closing

It fills the cabin from the beginning, though from the beginning almost to the wing - the places are paid, the same is about the same as in other low-cost airlines.
Register the sooner the better, as the registration window opened, there are a lot of cunning asses, at the end there may already be scattered places.

kolyan_cat, thanks again.
As practice has shown, it is not always necessary to register in the forefront. In particular, Vizzair - you have to register there just before the window closes. Wizzair starts with the worst seats in the hope that the passenger will not want to sit there and will buy a decent seat. We felt it the hard way: when we registered at the opening of the window, we got seats in the very tail, incl. one seat in the last row. Then they checked in before closing the window - they got the second row.
