We rested in Catalonia for two weeks. The town of Lloret de Mar left the most pleasant memories. The beach is excellent, though you won’t understand that the beach has coarse sand or small pebbles.
Barcelona is nearby, a beautiful city with museums, cathedrals, parks (Gaudi Güell Park), singing fountains.

Spain is a wonderful country for a holiday. Comparing a beach holiday in Turkey and Egypt with Spain is just heaven and earth. I had the best impressions from traveling on the Costa Dorada (Golden Sand) last year. We rested for two weeks in June in the town of Cambrils, which is near Salou. If you are interested in evening entertainment and discos, then you are in Salou! There are a lot of nightclubs, a light and music fountain, a promenade and many, many things so that the rest does not seem boring. Plus, it's only an hour's drive from Barcelona. It will have fun where, and culturally spend time :)

I can also advise you a small town _ Peniscola - I myself rest there every year, I really like it, since I mainly relax on the beach - this, in comparison with Barcelona, is paradise - clear water, sand, very good bottom (so how I swim is not very important for me, the water is warm - and a lot of cool hotels and shops - everything your heart desires !!!
