Obtaining a visa by invitation
Good afternoon!
I am planning to go on holiday to Spain. My brother owns real estate (apartment) in Spain, but permanently resides in the territory of the Russian Federation. Will an invitation from him be enough for me and my friend if my brother is now in the Russian Federation and allows me to spend my vacation in his apartment? Or do you still need a rental contract for an apartment? although I will live for free.
And another question: does the invitation need to be notarized?

As far as I know, if the brother is not a citizen of Spain, then he does not have the right to invite you. Usually only EU citizens are eligible to make an invitation. But just in case, check with the embassy for details.

Already specified. thank! The embassy explained everything. A non-EU citizen has the right to write an invitation if he owns real estate in the EU.
