I was also in the "Grand Tenerfe", very worthy and for the price it was a good half board. The hotel is right on the beach, on Broadway, the pools are extraordinary. The food is normal, and in the mornings the champagne on the buffet is unlimited - this is their feature. Sea view is a beauty. Photos from the balcony turned out brilliant.

Honestly, I would not go to Tenerife. We were in April, lived in "Grand Tenerfe". The hotel is very decent, the food is chic, but the ocean is very cold (and it does not heat up), there is nowhere to go (Loropark is an ordinary zoo, the extinct volcano Teide and almost everything), the nature is dull, because the land is not fertile.
I liked the Costa Brava better. Get a decent hotel. The sea will still be warm, you can go on a lot of excursions, etc. It all depends on your interests and expectations from the rest.
