Where to Find Talking Dinosaurs Dalgar Dinosaur Park and Fountains
We continue the story about the sights near Alicante and Benidorm. I have already published some fragments of the description of the parks on the web
Although some argue that the cacti in DinoPark are dry, and the fountains of Fonts de l'Algar are dry a big puddle for children floundering there - do not believe it. It is better to see once for yourself, and even better with children.
Cactus Garden
For some reason, the income from the Cactus Botanical Garden was very small, and the organizers decided to turn it into an amusement park, where living dinosaurs live. Although there are actually a lot of cacti and they come from all over the world. Therefore, if you are determined to see cacti separately, and then take the children to play with dinosaurs, you will be pleasantly surprised - you get two in one.
Dino Amusement Park
The Dino Amusement Park is a must visit for everyone who comes with children from 2 to 16, everyone finds entertainment there to their taste. Older children are more engaged in selfies, and kids study huge animals that have long been gone from the world. For adults, this is a beautiful landscaped park. Dinosaur models, moving, screaming and laughing, are presented in full growth. Here you can buy their miniatures as souvenirs, but a dozen at once - children do not want to share with brothers and sisters and friends left at home.
At the foot of the hill there is a small 3D cinema, where they play 11 minute film "Children's Sea" all day, so you can come in any minute. For children, the Paleontological site has also been opened: where you need to find a skeleton of a prehistoric animal or bird buried in the sand and, most importantly, say whose skeleton it is. At the top of the hill there is a cafe with a beautiful view of the mountains. You can park for free at the bottom of the hill on a special site. There is one "but" - you have to go to the top of the hill along a serpentine, it's not easy with a stroller.
Entrance to dinosaurs and cacti costs 5 euros, and a cafe will cost 15 euros. So almost everyone brings a "picnic" here with them - to eat, like in the Terra Natura , which I already wrote about, is possible on specially designated areas with benches. DinoPark is better to visit not on a hot day, otherwise you can not only burn yourself, but also get a sunstroke. Minus the park - prices: a ticket for an adult - 15 earo for a child from 4 to 12 years old - 10 euros, kids under 4 years old are free if a group of more than four people has gathered, they have a 10% discount. They include parking and cinema, you can pay cards
Dino park
These two amusement parks, Dinoand Fonts de Algarare best combined as they are located next to each other . The word "attraction" itself does not apply to waterfalls (for some reason they are called fountains here, Fonts). Huge dinosaurs - yes, this is the work of human hands, and nature itself created fountains.
Algar Waterfalls (Les Fonts de l'Algar)
From Dino Park you can head to the fountains - Algar waterfalls, where cold streams beat, and the water does not exceed 16 degrees even in the August heat. The waterfalls of Fonts de l'Algar are one of the most picturesque natural parks. The name Algar itself means "cave" in Arabic. Yes, there are many caves among the waterfalls, which you can enter waist-deep in water or swim inside, exploring grottoes and internal vaults.
Important: don't forget to bring swimming trunks, a swimsuit, towels, and before visiting this park, be sure to buy beach slippers , sold at every turn, the bottom is covered with sharp stones, and the current simply blows away. The Vietnamese sail away forever. But even just to sit and breathe fresh air here, wash yourself and drink clean water is wonderful, especially after the heat of the Dinosaur Park.
Waterfalls, channels laid in the Middle Ages and a dam are sources of clean and tasty water. So you can, after drinking your water, collect it here. The height of the largest waterfall is about forty meters. Not Niagara, of course, but you can swim nearby with jets falling from a height. The English, who are tolerant of any temperature, sit in the cool water for hours, the locals, the Spaniards go up to the ankles.
Here both adults and children will have fun
Cons: It is forbidden to bring food with you, large bags are left at the local "customs", but no one looks into a bag with a towel and small bags, so you can have a bite to eat in a quiet corner among the greenery. And the wateraround- drink- I don't want to.
Cost of visit:
Children under 10 years old — 2 euros
adults - 4 euros
elderly people over 65 (but no one looks at the passport) - 3 euros
How to get there:
It is very convenient to get here from Benidorm: every day at 10.00 a bus leaves, one of the stops is in the center , at McDonald's. The ticket costs about 4 euros, less than two hours one way. The bus will pick you up at 18.00.
If you have an extra hour, you can have a delicious meal in a restaurant with a swimming pool located opposite the bus parking, despite the fact that the place is so profitable, the food costs no more than in the city. Pael is better to take a company of at least 4 people. While adults place an order and drink beer, children swim in a large pool, around which tables are arranged in a semicircle. Adults also want to jump off the chair and plunge into the water, this is not prohibited.
Parks opening hours:
in summer, from 01.07 to 03.09 - daily.
From 4.09 to 30.06 only on local holidays, as well as on Saturday and Sunday.
Enjoy your walks!
