That's my childhood dream come true!
Finally, I waited for the long-awaited vacation, morning, airport, Moscow, waiting for our flight, and it happened - we are on the plane, and for some 7 hours we are already on the island of Tenerife!
We flew with Transaero, how many reviews I read about this company, to a greater extent they are all negative, sometimes the service is not like that, sometimes the food is not like that, we fly this company for the second time, there are no complaints, maybe we just got lucky, I don’t remember about food, I’m not picky .
The island met us with rain and coolness, the sun came out only a week later. We rested at the Sol Tenerife hotel, yes, I agree with previous reviews, there are a lot of elderly Europeans, who are of little interest to Russians, 15 people rested with us, we were located in building B, the repair can be seen that it was done a long time, noisy at night, next to the hotel from the side building A disco and from the side of building B the same thing, ask to be placed on a higher floor, but this noise did not bother us at all, they came very late and fell asleep so that they did not hear anything. The food in the restaurant is varied, but it seems that in the first days, we had enough for a week, then we ate in different restaurants, we especially liked the restaurant in Los Cristianos LITERAL (I think that's what it's called), there's nothing near the hotel either, in Puerto de la Cruz near Loro Park where the black sand beach is not the same as next to the hotel, there is also a restaurant, but unfortunately I don’t remember the name, but they cook superbly rabbit in sauce and Canarian potatoes, if you go to Las Teresitas beach, then right in front of you if you look at the town from the beach, it has a Tunel restaurant, I really liked how they cook fish there. Speaking of the beach, just seven kilometers from the capital of Tenerife is one of the most impressive and popular beaches of the island - Playa de Las Teresitas, this is an artificial beach with fine golden sand brought specially from the Sahara desert, but to get there you need to rent a car, prices are cars from 30 per day and above, we took a Hyundai i30 - 34 Euro per day, but who can walk far to Los Cristianos, he owns two sandy beaches: Playa de los Cristianos (is a beach with fine golden sand and calm waters, closed from the ocean by the port) and Playa de las Vistas (located in the bay next to the harbor, it is one of the longest and most popular beaches in the south of Tenerife, located between the resorts of Los Cristianos and Las Americas).
Excursions took everything from Natalie tour, but regretted that they did not contact the agency near the hotel, they have a direct office there, focused on English tourists, but they also take Russians with pleasure, they speak Russian, so whoever does not know the English language barrier does not will be, they have excursions cheaper and more interesting. We took excursions to the Teide volcano: a full-day excursion, worth a trip, as it is mostly educational and educational; a boat trip, they took us to Los Gigantes and back, it is better to take the aforementioned agency, they have a wide variety of boat trips, trips and are very interesting in content; in Siam, the park is not far from the hotel, so we got there ourselves, I advise, we liked it, and another excursion that we took was a trip to the island of La Gomera, 40 minutes by ferry, and then a whole day traveling by bus, the excursion is interesting and informative, the places are breathtaking, you can drive yourself, but this is only if you have experience driving in mountainous areas, we did not dare and visit the old capital of the island La Laguna, take a guidebook, wander along its narrow streets, there is something to see .
Shopping: I read reviews before leaving, many write that there is excellent shopping, unfortunately I went around the shops all around, having gone to the capital of Santa Cruz for this purpose, I didn’t buy anything except for 1 dress, shorts and a pair of T-shirts, although some gained so much that I had to buy more suitcases, or maybe I’m not so right, I can go for weeks in order to buy something in my house in search of that thing;
Of all our holidays, I can find only 2 minuses, this is that we were unlucky with the weather in the first week and the fact that we were taken right from under our noses in the restaurant at the hotel (it’s good that there was a camera on which they also took pictures) , but in general, I liked everything very very very much, all my friends ask me if my husband and I will go there again, I find it difficult to answer this question, so I shrug my shoulders, it just happens that you come from a vacation and you want to go back there more than once, I don’t have such a feeling with the island of Tenerife, but this does not mean that something is wrong there, sincerely and with all my heart I wish you all a good rest and, as always, many thanks to Olympia Raizen Siberia!
