Path of the Pilgrims. Part 6
Day 10
This day started well, but then we went through a lot of unpleasant moments.
In the morning we left for Valencia, one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. The city was founded by the Romans in 138 BC
First we visited the City of Arts and Sciences. It is located on the site of the old bed of the Turia River. Architect Santiago Calatrava has designed an outstanding modern complex of five buildings (oceanographic park, planetarium, opera house, science museum and garden gallery).
Valencia itself met us with its sunny streets and squares.
This is the narrowest house in Valencia
The main attraction of Valencia is the Cathedral of St. Mary, founded in 1262. The Spaniards believe that it is in this cathedral that the Holy Grail is kept. As is often the case with shrines, several cities claim that they have the true Grail, but in Valencia they firmly believe that the true Grail is in the cathedral.
After such a sunny day, an unexpected blow awaited our group. Our guide announced that the travel agency "DSBV" did not pay for our further trip to the Spanish host "Novovir", which organized the tour, i. е. We only paid for tickets to Moscow. The Spanish side cannot contact the leadership of "DSBV" in any way, because. They don't answer calls or inquiries. In our group there were people who had already encountered similar problems with "DSBV". Everyone immediately began to frantically call the travel agency, but there was no special result. Everyone's mood was worse than ever, the guide offered us to pay for our further stay in Spain on our own, and then collect this money from the "DSBV". We were not very pleased with this option, because. we still had to get checks from hotels and justify our expenses. The group decided to fight to the death and not leave the bus until the problem was solved. One way or another, but when we drove up to Barcelona, we were delighted that the problem had been resolved for today, some money had been transferred. From this situation, I concluded that "DSBV" works on the principle of a banal pyramid - it pays for the tour at the last moment, with the money of new customers. In the end, the further journey was paid for, but the nerves of the whole group were pretty shaken.
