Bus Touristic or Barcelona Card?
After the trip, I myself conducted a study on what is still better than the Barcelona Card or Bus Turistic.
Initial data
1. For the calculation, I took the most visited objects, which turned out to be 18.
2. Prices for the card and the bus are indicated with a 10% savings when ordering via the Internet. The bus for 2 days is 28 euros, and the card for 2 days is 26 euros, for 3 - 31.50, etc.
3. Metro travel was calculated using the T-10 card. Approximately - at least 4 transfers per day, i. e. 4 euros for one, since the card costs about 10.
4. Museum load: 2 days - 50% (10 out of 20 maximum), 3 days - 70%, 4 and 5 100% each.
- If you came for the day, then you should not compost your brains. Buy an Articket BCN (articket. org) and a T-10 card and ride to your health.
- If you stay in Barcelona for 2 days, then I recommend that you still choose something. Either due to discounts on the bus menu, you will pay for your own bus fare, or save 10% with a card.
- If 3 days or more, then see for yourself. Savings will be here and there.
The card offers some not very popular museums for free (which are hardly worth going to, bypassing the popular ones), several discounts to restaurants (we haven’t been to any) and a 20% discount on flamenco shows versus 10% for the bus. Yes, and there is a 20% discount on attractions at PortAventura!
The bus has trump cards - a bus and discounts on fast food food and boat trips. And mind you, you can’t see Barcelona from the metro.
In general, if you are aware of Barcelona and are easy to travel, then the card is for you, if you are in Barç a for the first time and don’t really like to jump from the metro to the bus, then take a tourist bus. With a map, you can move faster around the city, but underground: (.
We chose the bus and did not regret it much. The only thing is that all the tour objects are interesting, but they are scattered around the city and it is unlikely that they will be able to “gallop across Europe”. I tried it and was immediately accused by my wife of inhumanity.
Many are frightened by long queues for tourist buses.
The key to success is getting up early and avoiding transfers and landings at Placa Catalynya. Otherwise, you will be happy and at peace. Moreover, the red line is mostly loaded, so plan your route in advance and don't worry.
We bought tickets online on the website from Bus Turistic and saved 10%. After payment you will receive a barcode. Print and show on the bus when boarding.
P. s. Be careful! Like the bus, the card runs on the first day until 23:59. So do not activate it in the evening unnecessarily, otherwise you will only use it for a few hours. Discounts can be used until the end of the year, even if your card and ticket expire.
