One day in Barcelona
At the end of February 2019, I had a short trip to Barcelona, and one day was completely free, and it was devoted to exploring the city.
I stayed in a small hotel "Jaume I" in the Gothic Quarter, a hotel without breakfast, but there was a small cafe very close where you could buy a mini baguette with jamon and coffee.
A day was enough to walk to the sea, walk to the Sagrada and wander around the cathedral, but I didn’t manage to get inside - I didn’t want to queue for tickets, there are queues for tickets here even in the off-season. Then he managed to return to the center, walk along the Rambla and look at the Boqueria market and buy all sorts of goodies there - jamon, cheeses, olives, exotic fruits. There are even live crabs and various other outlandish seafood there. And then there was time to walk around the labyrinths of the Gothic Quarter - a fusion of narrow medieval streets and modern shops, and return to the sea again, where amateur sculptors were already building their sand structures. Near the sea it is good to walk at any time of the year.
The city is very beautiful and interesting even at this time of the year, and the weather was good, during the day you can even take off your jacket, in the evening it is a little cooler. And why is it good to come to Barcelona out of season - the crowds there are at least not much, but less, and the weather is quite comfortable.
