Sagrada Familia - who builds like that!
A monumental building, which is the hallmark of Gaudi, and of the whole of Barcelona. Seeing him in a photograph, it is difficult to assess the entire volume of what is depicted and conceived. The cathedral is the content of the biblical encyclopedia, depicting all the main points associated with the life and reincarnation of Christ. Each tower, each fragment of the towers, and each detail of this fragment carry a semantic load. Nothing superfluous depicted just like that. When we got close, we began to mercilessly exploit the camera until a Russian-language tour crept up to us. To be honest, without a tour, you will run further in 15 minutes. We spent a little over 40 minutes with the tour and were ready to listen on and on. Gaudí tried to ensure that the guide had “bread”, since you can’t describe everything in an hour. Then the guide showed us, in the souvenir shop opposite, a model of the completed building. Here you can see the distant future, because even according to the most optimistic forecasts, there will be another 20 years of work here, and according to pessimistic ones, then the grandson of the foreman, God forbid, would complete the construction.
We didn't go inside. To be honest, the price of 17 euros scared us off, and the reviews about the scaffolding overhead are not very flattering.
But the decision to return somehow in the evening was correct. It got dark somewhere after 10, but the chic backlight turns on closer to 11. The spectacle impresses with its mystic grandeur.
The easiest way to get there is by metro. The stop has a similar name. If you don't feel like running around looking for food, there are MacDonlads and Lactuca buffet nearby.
