Fountains of emotions
Upon arrival, we immediately rushed to the fountains. The fact is that they work only from Thursday to Sunday from 20.00 to 24.00. We arrived at Placa de Espanya before dark. The royal palace with its approaches looked simply gorgeous. And from a height it would look even better, we thought, and saddled the elevator to the top of the Arenas complex. The elevator costs a euro from the nose, and if you have a snack in any restaurant on the top, it will be returned to you. But don't lose your ticket. When descending, it will be required again.
Passing an hour before dark, we visited an exhibition of cars and a wonderful restaurant Mussol, especially remembered for its desserts. From above it was clear that the crowd at the fountains was unmeasured. But the effect in the sun's rays was not much.
The show takes on its colors precisely with the onset of darkness. Sophisticated lighting, coupled with a melody and a pressure regulator, worked wonders. I read a lot about the right location. They say close - hard to see, far - not heard. Heard! It is seen! Therefore, it makes no sense to sneak into the dense. Although it may be necessary for your photos, just beware of dripping rain.
We took pictures from different angles, rejoicing like children. And although these are not my first "singing" fountains, I note that the spectacle is worth it. It starts with opening classic tunes, including a 100% hit from Freddie Mercury, followed by pop creations from Madonna, Craig David and more.
Fountains come to life every half an hour for 20 minutes, so it’s not worth it to guess the time.
With a high-quality camera, you can take great pictures, given that the palace itself and the approaches to it, starting from the Plaza de Españ a, are illuminated by wonderful illumination.
