We only went to Petra by ferry. Departure from the pier from the Hilton, on the way about 50 minutes. Then 10 minutes passport control at the port (a beautiful stamp with Petra is glued into the passport) and by bus to Petra. To go 2 hours, you will have views and shops. Cosmetics from the Dead Sea in Petra are cheaper than in Israel, but the quality is the same. We spent half a day in the Gorge, walked about 8 km on foot, so take comfortable shoes.
